The number of instream PIT tag detectors above Lower Granite has increased significantly over the past couple of years and will continue to grow.  These sites can provide important information that some researchers and managers are interested in, but they also increase interrogation file size dramatically through the sheer number of detections they record (e.g. a group of ~3,500 tags from the Lemhi River produced >200,000 observations).

For those of us interested in hydrosystem survival or survival to a particular mainstem site (e.g., Lower Granite), an option with only mainstem juvenile sites (LGR, LGO, LMN, ICH, JDA, MCN, BON, TWX) would be helpful.  This would speed queries, reduce file size, and probably reduce server utilization.  I would ask that the actual sites used in the query be eidtable, since, for example, some folks may not want the TWX site and I typically do not use ICH.

Thanks again for the opportunity to chime in on.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have edited the PitPro Interrogation Detail report to include an additional filter option called Mainstem Obs Site. This filter parameter allows the user to select from a list of interrogation sites on the mainstem Columbia and Snake rivers. Please review this report now and let us know if this is satisfactory.

Thanks, that will help a lot.  Could you add TWX to go along with ESX to cover the estuary sites as well.  I always seem to have a couple initial detections there every year.

    Old thread.  New question.

Could the PD7, CIC, and CCC sites be added to the Mainstem Obs Site pick list to increase the chances of picking fish up downstream of Bonneville?

    Thanks much.

I have added those three sites to the Mainstem Obs SIte prompt, but you should know that CIC and CCC are no longer active and they were only operational for a couple of months in 2010.

Thanks Nicole!  The PD7 site looks like it will be useful.
