LNR - Lower Naches River

This site is a permanent instream PIT tag detection system located at rkm 5.3 on lower Naches river, 700 meters below Nelson dam. The site consists of one row of five 28 ft x 3 ft flexible antennas mounted to a wooden 2 x 4 backbone and anchored to the riverbed with MR-4 anchors. The single row of antennas spans the wetted width of the Naches river at moderate flows. The antennas are constructed with 1 in PEX and built and installed by Yakama Nation and WDFW staff. IS1001 enclosures are anchored below the row of antennas and run to a junction box located just above the high water mark. A single 3-wire cable from the junction box runs to a job box approximately 75 ft away. A Qube is housed in the job box and the site is powered with a 5060 Thermo-electric generator running off portable propane tanks.
