Three new AB1 coils 04, 05 and 06 were installed (left to right facing upstream on the upstream side of the bridge), and all coils (01, 02, 03, 04, 05, and 06) started interrogating for the 2011 year at approximately 3:30 PM Pacific Standard Time. The additional antennas (04, 05, and 06) will improve detection and allow evaluation of antenna efficiency. Once antenna efficiency is established for the original antennas (01, 02, and 03), the relative performance of different antenna designs can be evaluated at the 04, 05, and 06 locations using the 01, 02, and 03 antennas as controls.
