Date Time Who What ---------- ----- -------- ----------------------------------------------- 12/30/2001 22:25 darren@p B4:TestTagFailure,B5:InputSyncDetect,B5:ReaderReset: This test tag has been acting intermitently over the last few months. This will be checked out when the ladder is dewatered. 12/02/2001 17:48 darren@p B5:TestTagFailure: Alarm was generated by PTOC personnel doing maintenance work on site. 11/29/2001 15:07 Scott_Li The PTTP client has been restarted on these computers. 11/27/2001 09:08 Scott_Li The PTTP client has been disabled until Thursday , Nov. 29 01. 11/24/2001 12:17 darren@p B4:TestTagFailure: This alarm keeps happening periodically. PTOC personnel will check this on Monday while there for testing on the ladder coils. 11/16/2001 13:25 darren@p B4:TestTagFailure: The test tag was and is working. I will investigate further to find out why it periodically fails. 11/06/2001 05:24 darren@p B4:TestTagFailure: This alarm was checked on Thursday and I founf that the timer tag is and has continued to fire on it's scheduled basis. I attemted to clear the alarm on Thursday but there was a slight problem with the TASS panel. 10/29/2001 14:40 Dave_Mar All Multimon installations reacted to the end of Daylight Savings Time, even though the DST option was deselected in the Win98 Clock dialog box. All sites running Multimon closed their data files at 2:00AM on 10/28 (after generating four time stamps for 02:00:00), and have been generating files on an accelerated 3-hr schedule ever since (2:00, 5:00, 8:00, and 11:00 AM and PM). This occurred with all Multimon V7.04 sites, and with the V8.0 installation at MCJ. PTTP Uploader was also affected by the OS time shift, and has also been sending files one hour earlier than expected since 2:00AM. It's obvious that Win98 is "adjusting" the internal clock time even though, by deselecting the DST check box, we've told the OS to ignore displaying that change. We might try "fixing" this behavior by using the "Arizona" time zone setting, or modify the timers to use display times rather than the OS' internal timers. 10/23/2001 10:29 Carter_S -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: Problems with Bonneville Int Site Connections Date: Tue, 23 Oct 2001 09:49:27 -0700 From: "Todd Kaehler" Organization: PSMFC To: Dave Marvin CC: Carter Stein References: <3BD59E16.2787FB@ptagis.org> Sprint called an said they were having problems with the T1 connection. I do not think they need to get to your router or even your DSU/CSU to test the circuit. However, they probably will want to take a look at the T1 box (I forget it's actual name) which is at the end of the T1 line. There is a cable from that box to your CSU/DSU. So, they probably will want access to the place where that box is located. Is that in your AFF computer room? The Sprint tech then will either need access to the mechanical room in the VOB or the AFF computer room or both. Because of security he will need to check in with the Project Office to get a contractor's ID card, etc., then he will have to go across the Bridge of the Gods, etc. After you find out how much access Sprint needs to the Project, please notify the Project Office (ph# 541-374-8442)about Sprint's upcoming visit. Do they need willy or myself to go out there to assist? Do they need to get to the Router - DSU/CSU? It is locked in the rack in the Adult Facility and they will need a key (which you should have). --Todd Don Warf wrote: >Todd, > >I got a call from John Thomas a EE from Bonneville. I get so far in the process and then PTTP appears to hang. The connection is acting very choppy. B2A has finally sent its files but after viewing the history of PTTP it appears that it to was trying to send its files but was unsuccessful until about 3p.m. BWL I am having trouble getting into I will call Todd K. in the morning and find out if we are having router problems or what is going on. 09/18/2001 11:23 scottl Replaced Loop tuner on coil 02. Checked entire system for other problems, none to report. 09/11/2001 11:14 Darren_C Scott and I went to the facility because of low efficiencies in an ISO transceiver. Before we left it was also noticed through "Raw Files" that we had problems with transceivers A4,and A5 as well as B4. We found that almost all coils (both ISO and 400) had slipped down the PVC pipe and in some cases were butted up next to one another. Although permatite tape was used in the installation the vibrations caused by the large adults caused the coils to move over time. All coils were replaced to their original positions and then retuned for high efficiency and low noise. The coils seem to be responding well but we will monitor the efficiencies closely for the next couple of days to ensure performance. 08/22/2001 21:50 Darren_C I went to the site because of the faulty coil 00. When I arrived I discovered that the exciter was fine but that the loop tuner was bad it was replaced and the timer tag was fired with no problem. We will monitor the site for activity and efficiency. I also stopped in at B2J and checked the platform. All was well. 07/10/2001 08:04 Darren_C The exciter on coils 00,10 was replaced. It was acting in a intermittent manner so it was decided we would replace it. The rest of the exciters and transceivers were checked and no problems were found. 07/08/2001 10:47 scottl Cumulative efficiency report shows that coil 10 is dead or on it's way out. Will respond 7/9/01 for repair. 06/21/2001 13:52 Dave I updated the Multimon database with "b2a01172.db". This database version contains 240,376 additional steelhead tags (MY 2000) in AC63. These codes were added at the request of Chris Peery, U of I. I also verified that the clock on PC1 was within five minutes of world time (it was within 30 seconds), and adjusted the clock on PC2 to bring it within 30 seconds of PC1. Finally, I archived 131 files on PC2. 06/05/2001 09:50 Dave I updated the Multimon map and db files to "b2a01155.map" and "b2a01155.db", respectively. This modified configuration uses the new Action Code 64 to identify 23,139 tags associated with fish marked by the Nez Perce Tribe. All but one of these tags were previously identified as "good" fish (AC-62), and U of I researchers were able to handle (and radio- tag) these fish. With the new configuration, the researchers will be alerted NOT to include these NPT marks in their radio-tagging activities. The change was requested by Chris Peery (U of I), and was implemented at 8:30 am (PST) on June 5. 05/30/2001 12:49 scottl General maintenence check found a problem with ISO coil A4 timer tag was not firing. Found that the tag had came loose from the coil and was lying on the bottom of the monitor shield. re-attached TT to coil tested OK. No other problems to report. 05/29/2001 19:49 carters B2A-2, 400 KHZ SOUTH: Annunciator warnings acknowledged 05/17/2001 08:08 Darren_C All sites were visited for site maintenance. No problems were found. Due to the high volume of fish at the juvenile facility no test sticks were thrown. The sample rate was at 1% (36 seconds an hour). All computers were labeled with PTOC labels. 05/16/2001 17:45 carters B2A-1, 400 KHZ NORTH: Annunciator warnings acknowledged 05/09/2001 20:30 Don_Warf Visited site for a general maintenance check and found no problems. Checked 400 exciters for current and ISO transceivers for current and noise. 05/01/2001 10:24 Scott_Li General maintenence check found no problems to report. 04/25/2001 10:02 Scott_Li General maintenence check found no problems. Coil 00 appeared to be on it's way out , but a poke job in the exciter seemed to take care of it. Stick tested 400 Khz Coils 00,02,04, 10,12,14, all detected 10 of 10 stick tags.Verified PCA logging was turned on for PC1-2. Re-connected phone lines to computers. 04/19/2001 09:10 Darren_C A General Maintenance Check was performed on both sites. At B2J 20 sticks were passed through the separator monitor and diverted into the West tank. The results are as follows: A1-20 A2-20 A3-20 A4-20 F1-20 F2-20. 04/13/2001 13:24 Scott_Li Replaced Exciter for coils 12 and 14 due to low efficiency on coil 12. Hand pass stick tag test of 10 tags was 100 percent detection. 04/09/2001 09:28 Darren_C On Thursday 4-4-01 Scott and I went down to investigate the poor efficiencies that were being seen on the South flume 402 kHz coils. It was discovered that a wire from the loop tuner on coil 10 was shorting to the shield this problem was resolved and the exciter was replaced. We verified the communications to the Data platform from each coil with both Timer Tags and stick tags. All coils were performing well and were monitored over the weekend and seem to operating at maximum efficiency. 04/03/2001 12:00 Dave University of Idaho personnel began their trapping/monitoring/marking operations today. Their trap operation this year will be similar in scope to last year, when they trapped for ~six hours/day, seven days/week, from April 1 - October 31. WDFW has apparently operated the trap occasionally since the ladder was watered-up last month; the actual dates and duration of sampling are not available. 04/03/2001 08:40 Darren_C The program ABOUT TIME was removed from both PC1 and PC2. The system clocks were adjusted for PST. All Timer tags were replaced with the standard 0B0B0 tags. Trouble was found on coil 10 there was low current. The exciter was replaced but this did not solve the problem. The power supply was checked and found to be working fine. The loop tuner was replaced but I still had low current. The coil was checked for Tune and was found to out of tune. The coil was tuned and current was restored. Timer tags were fired and the ignor.tag file was built. 03/23/2001 08:54 Darren_C During the week of 3-19-01 through 3-22-01 the site was built and configured for production detection. The platform was installed and communications were established with all coils. The configuration is as follows: NORTH Flume: 402Khz I.D. 00, 402Khz I.D. 02, 402Khz I.D. 04, ISO I.D. A4, ISO I.D. A5. SOUTH Flume: 402Khz I.D. 10, 402Khz I.D. 12, 402Khz I.D. 14, ISO I.D. B4, ISO I.D. B5. 03/16/2001 08:10 Darren_C The new coils for the Adult facility have been wrapped. They follow the same configuration as GRA in that we have 3 402Khz coils and 2 ISO coils per monitor. The coils I.D.'s are as follows on the South monitor the I.D.'s are 00,02,04,A4, and A5. The North monitor is 10,12,14,B4 and B5. The site will be completed during the week of the 19th. 02/28/2001 10:27 Darren_C On Monday Feb. 26, 01 I decommissioned the computers and cut all the exciter gear lose for the contractor so the new enclosures could be installed. The computers are now in the Kennewick office. 01/22/2001 07:45 Dave Tammy Mackey informed me that the Washington Shore AFF will be dewatered until February 27. 01/06/2001 17:27 Dave Visited site on 1/6/01. Site is currently dewatered for winter work. Obtained WDFW sampling schedule for Nov-Dec, 2000. Noticed PC1 was slow by 45 minutes, and that PC2 was opening files at 5:00 and 11:00. Mailer was hosed on PC1. Reset time for PC1 and rebooted. Synced both machines wrt time and file extension #. Started Mailer manually and sent all files created in 2001. Noticed on return to office that we're still missing files after B2A00351.001 through the end of the year. Will request that Kennewick office obtain and submit those files. 01/05/2001 18:00 Dave Manually created new event log for 2001. ####End of Event Log for B2A###
