Still need to identify timer tags in the site configuration schema, after they're installed at the sites. 09/24/99 12:26 scott_li The coil wrapping for the following monitors has been completed as of 9/23/99. All exciter cables and test tag cables have also been pulled to the enclosure. Back panels have been removed from all enclosures and brought back to PSMFC Kennewick for drilling and tapping. Coil was dead. Files per created per day set to 8. Installed ribbon cable on H.S controller. Changed Mailer.ini From: line to b2j@psmfc.org. Retrieved files b2j99189.002-003. Manually mailed files to pitdata 7/13. 07/02/99 08:15 darren 7-01-99 Investigated coil ineffeciency on coil #02, found that current was good from exciter and when swapped coil#04 read fine on a tag test. Checked loop tuner connections they were tight. Found loose connector housing on the cable from loop tuner. Investigated further and found a bad connection. 06/24/99 15:39 sandyd 6/23 sandyd NMFS called with another OE error by MULTIMON - seem to coincide with my exit from Laplink. Gordon is going to see if he can learn more about what the error message means. 06/24/99 15:37 sandyd 6/24 sandyd Lilia noticed that there was a reconnect box for Gorge.net on screen - I had her hit cancel and it went away. Had been there since midnight dialing. I load new Mailer (2.3)and checked Mailer log file -looked fine. 06/22/99 14:56 sandyd 6/22 sandyd A new Mailer (version 2.2j) was installed at 11:30 that Gordon had fixed so that it would work with the local ISP and automatic dialing. Earlier versio were not working - this one was successful at the noon dial-up time. This version also has definable redial times and tries. 06/18/99 16:22 sandyd 6-18 sandyd NMFS reported an exception error by MULTIMON at 0028:C1083407 in VXD. Info passed onto Gordon. occurred in early afternoon. when hit enter, the compute rebooted. DB and Map files updated on 6/17 for SBC tests that will be run next week by USGS. 06/17/99 15:53 scottl Manual intervention to retrieve data files from this site has been on going. The ISP connection has not improved reliability in auto uploading process. files were manually fetched via laplink today. 06/16/99 07:26 dlwarf Laplinked in to send files. 06/10/99 15:55 dlwarf Mailer version 2.2G was remotely loaded. 06/09/99 15:16 scottl Changed Multimon to create 8 files per day and mailer interval to mail data 8 times per day at Carters request on 6/8/99... 06/09/99 10:56 scottl As of 1500 hrs 6/8/99, BVX,BVJ,BVA,B2J send mail process has been routed through Gorge.net. This means that all data files from these sites are routed through Gorgenets mail server (a local phone call ) and sent to Gladstone via the internet. This new approach of data file transfer looks to be much more robust and consistent than direct dial up ppp to Gladstone. 06/07/99 11:08 scottl I talked to Lyla at the b2j trailer and she said that the 427.2276 data line was dead... Switched the modem to 2279 and still cannot connect to the modem So, not sure what the scoop is.Ran thru alll the normal checks and still no luck.According to Lyle G. The primary switch gate was flipped to primary bypass on 6/4 1500 hrs and will remain this way until 6/14 @ approx. 0900 hrs.I think I will schedule a trip to Bonneville in the next couple of days and get in the rotation.I will place a trouble call with sprint on the 2276 number... 06/04/99 18:00 davem Removed and replaced old 9600 baud internal modem with spiffy new 56k 3COM/USR external model on 6/2/99. Came in today and modified MAILER.INI to use new psmfcptoc account on gorge.net. To my surprise, it worked. Well. Consistently. Rebooted the PC several times to test program recovery capa- bilities, which seemed fine. Also switched modem on/off several times, separately and in tandem with system reboots and it seemed to function correctly and reliably. Noticed that Mailer always defaults to midnight when scheduling the next file upload after loading/initialization. Has it always done this? 06/03/99 15:27 carters Changed mailer to dial into Carter's ISP, teleport.com, using carters user id and passwd. This established very consistant, high-speed connections - around 48,000 kbps. See the b2j mailer.ini file for changes that needed to be made to point to this ISP. Scott will set up a gorge.net account called psmfcptoc to use as the mail delivery service for Bonneville files. Watch this space for that change. Mailer is running 2.2c at this point. It should be reverted back or upgraded to remove a 'retry' anomoly. The interrogation system and compute platform is up and running. 05/24/99 13:00 scottl The previous entry is information for LMJ only 05/21/99 11:27 scottl General maintenence found that the Data file mailer was not running in the background and appeared to manually closed by the someone. Restarted mailer and sent files to gladstone... The connection was extremley slow, took approx. 30 minutes to send 5 small files. The modem will be upgraded from 9600 baud to 33.6 or > when scheduling permits and does not impact data collection. Informed Sandy D to emphysis to the reasearchers the importance of other process that are running in the backgound to ensure they are not interrupted. 05/19/99 09:14 sandyd 5/19/99 sandyd Power was out from approximately 15:06 to 16:00 on May 18th (138). 05/11/99 10:46 sandyd 5/11 sandyd All notes attributed to 5/4 were actually done on 5/3. 05/11/99 09:58 sandyd 5/11 sandyd On 5/4, there was no dial tone on either phone line. we jiggled line and got a dial tone. We found a broken section in plastic cover of phone line outside - covered it with duct tape. Errors noted for AI15&17 with the modem diagnostics still present, tho Mailer seems to be working fine. 05/11/99 09:56 sandyd 5/11 sandyd On 5/4, the persistent connection box was checked on Mailer, so I fixed this I rebooted to see if the errors noted for AI15&16 with the modem diagnostics would go away - they did not. 05/04/99 09:52 sandyd 05/03/99 sandyd NMFS installs the 400X controller. New gate timings established. Water flow 05/04/99 09:48 sandyd 04/17/98 sandyd NMFS installs a GPIB controller so that all 4 coils can be used for SBC. Th 05/04/99 09:47 sandyd 04/14/99 Sandy Timings are set at for the rotational gate. The last coil cannot be done be 04/19/99 13:50 scottl Entry for work done on 99106. Replaced Fan in controller. Returned exciters back to independent oscilators. NMFS had tied both Exciters to a common Oscillator. This was Done at Earl Prentise request. 02/22/99 14:32 carters Initial log creation for 8_B2J ####End of Event Log for 8_B2J###
