The outage, unfortunately, lasted longer than 10 minutes. John Wilson of EC Electric had to break into two power panels that were at two different locations on site—the ones that provided power to the JBS PIT Tag Antenna Bldg. The outage actually lasted 41 minutes today (9/22/06): 8:45AM to 9:26PM. Sorry for the outage and the short notice. This should be the last of the electrical work on the JBS PIT Tag Antenna Bldg for the foreseeable future. Thanks! --Jon (541) 374-4574 09/22/2006 12:12 Dean_Bal A power outage affecting the full-flow pit tag building took place approximately 0845-0925 on 22 September for electrical work. 09/22/2006 12:00 Dean_Bal A facility power outage took place from approximately 0330-0335 on 22 September. This replaced the existing list of 15 tags with a new list of 19 tags, including the four new virtual timer tags at the full flow monitor. I also revised the B2J ignor.tag MultiMon configuration file, to include the four new tag codes as well as to explicitly identify the transceiver/antenna ID for each of the 19 tags. I pushed the B2J ignor.tag file to the PTAGIS FTP server, and then pulled it to both machines on the B2J remote platform. 07/20/2006 07:25 darren@r 01:TestTagFailure,02:ReaderReset: There was no direct cause for either alarm. Made the change in map file B2J6142a.MAP. This will probably remain in place until at least tomorrow. 05/22/2006 09:21 Dave I received a request this morning from Frank Loge, NMFS, to immediately disable collection of his Rapid River Hatchery target group (AC-32) at B2J. I made this change in map file B2J06142.MAP a little after 8:30 (PDT). The PC clocks are within 2 seconds of each other and 10 seconds of atomic time. 05/21/2006 09:51 troy@ruf 82:InputSyncDetect,82:ReaderReset: Possibly a random reader reset. This will be looked into on the next site visit. 05/18/2006 17:02 Dave I updated the map file to B2J06138.MAP, disabling the current (and quota-filled) 48-hr NMFS collection and re-instating the regular collection of 200 fish per day per each of the two hatcheries. RAPH and DWOR. This modification was requested by Frank Loge earlier today. The modification was instantiated at 15:31:15 (PST). As long as I was mucking about, I reset the PC clocks to within 1 second of each other and atomic time. 05/18/2006 14:17 Alan A GMC was performed 5/18/2007. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. Five Action Code 254 and five Action Code 255 sticks were thrown on the SbyC Separator Gate. All sticks were diverted correctly. The following are the results of the stick test. The air pressure is 90psi (60psi on the Sample Gate). A1 10/10 A2 10/10 A3 10/10 A4 10/10 E1 5/5 E2 5/5 F1 5/5 F2 5/5 The clocks are set to within nineteen seconds of atomic time on both PCs. Multimon is running full screen on both PCs. No problems found. 05/18/2006 08:18 scottl@r A1:TestTagFailure: Noted 05/16/2006 14:20 Dave I modified the map file to B2J06137.MAP. At 12:24PM (PST) I disabled the current 8-hr collection for AC31 and AC32 requested by USGS. I then modified the upcoming 48-hr collection requested by NMFS to include 60 DWOR (AC31) tags as well as the 400 RAPH (AC32) tags originally specified, per a conversation with Frank Loge earlier today. The PC clocks are within 1 second of each other and 13 seconds of atomic time. 05/16/2006 08:54 Dave I pcA'd in and modified the map file to B2J06136.MAP in situ. The revised configuration removes the 15 fish/AC quota for today's 10-hr collection of AC31 and AC32 fish for USGS. This was requested by Matt Mesa, USGS, who wants to be able to pick and choose which collected fish they sample. I expect to receive a call later today, after USGS has reached its target, requesting that I disable this collection. 05/15/2006 12:27 Dave B2J-PC1 was out of service briefly while I swapped MAP files. No fish were observed on B2J-PC2 during this interval. However, one fish was reported to the data files on both machines as I brought B2J-PC1 back on line. (B2J-PC2 had not yet assumed gate control, fortunately.) Rather than report this redundant detection, I elected not to submit the patch file from B2J-PC2. The clocks on the two PCs are within 1 second of each other and 10 seconds of atomic time. 05/15/2006 12:17 Dave I replaced the map file with B2J06135.MAP. Per a request from Frank Loge (NMFS), I suspended diversion of AC31 (DWOR) and AC32 (RAPH) at 12:07 (PDT) today. I also added two new diversion units. The first is configured to collect no more than 15 tags each from AC31 and AC32 between 9AM and 7PM (PDT) tomorrow, May 16. The second DU is configued to collect up to 400 Rapid River hatchery tags (AC32) during the 48 hours commencing at 7PM on May 16 and ending at 7PM on May 18 (all times PDT). At that time, I will re-enable the "normal" collection of up to 200 fish per day each for AC31 and AC32. 05/13/2006 11:20 alan@ruf 82:ReaderReset,82:TestTagFailure: These alarms were generated by PTAGIS Field Operations personnel during a site visit. 05/13/2006 11:08 Alan Manually pushed B2J06133.102 and B2J06133.103 to PTAGIS via PCA. 05/11/2006 13:13 Alan A GMC was performed 5/11/2007. This version extends the activity interval for DU-12 from the original May 11-28 to May 2 until June 15. I also reduced the daily quota to 200 fish each for AC-31 and AC-32. Since the new activity period encompasses the one day USGS sample previous defined in DU-13, I disabled that redundant DU. I did not reset the clocks, as they were within 3 seconds of each other and 13 seconds of atomic time. 04/27/2006 12:05 Alan A GMC was performed 4/27/2007. All transceivers were tuned. 10 Action Code 254 and 10 Action Code 255 sticks were thrown on the three way gate. During the test the facility went into sample, after which two more of each were thrown. All sticks were diverted correctly. The following are the results of the stick test. It was originally submitted on April 11 with "Test Submission Mode" enabled, and was not processed as expected. Everything's hunky-dory now. 04/18/2006 13:33 Dave Discovered that "Test File Submission" mode was set ON in the PTTP-Uploader app on B2J-PC2. Toggled this "OFF". Manually submitted patch file B2J06104.205 through e-mail. 04/17/2006 10:41 Dave The patch file that I believe I submitted last week during the update of the SbyC configuration files was not processed by PTAGIS. Today, I retrieved that patch file, B2J06104.205, from the archive directory on B2J-PC2 and resubmitted it. 04/14/2006 11:51 Dave I updated the map and database files to B2J06104.MAP and B2J06104.DB, respectively. The new configuration contains directions to divert an evaluation group of Chinook (B2EVAL, AC-71) into the West SbyC tank. The configuration is active now, even though the first evaluation group will not be released until April 24. Revised that file on Friday, March 31. Current map file is BO306090.MAP. This configuration diverts all fall Chinook in AC-81 (FC1DVT) and AC-82 (FC1XPT) to the West SbyC Tank, five days per week (Sun-Thur). I replaced the generic hardware files on PC1 and PC2 with BO3-0600.HW1 and BO3-0600.HW2, respectively. These versions of the hardware files cause the counters to reset at 6AM (PST); resetting the counters enables/disables the Diversion Units that control the collection of AC-81 and AC-82. Nine 5-day collection periods have been scheduled, beginning this Sunday morning, April 2, and extending through the morning of Friday, June 2. 03/31/2006 16:01 Dave I discovered some problems with the Uploader application on B2J-PC2. First, the archive path was set to the default Uploader application location; I corrected this to point to c:\multimon\archive, and moved all 800+ files from the wrong to the correct location. Second, I corrected the site code from the legacy "BJ2" (previously required to segregate PTTP streams) to the expected "B2J". I made this correction because I was not able to upload two data "patch" files from B2J-PC2 and have them register to PTAGIS. After multiple attempts, and repeated verification of the PTTP-Uploader client settings, I finally FTP'd the files to the PTAGIS server, and registered them manually. 03/31/2006 15:40 DGE_Robo SByC_Enable (SBC) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2006/03/31 14:48:10 03/31/2006 15:40 DGE_Robo SByC_Enable (SBC) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2006/03/30 17:34:56 03/30/2006 21:02 DGE_Robo SByC_Enable (SBC) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2006/03/30 18:03:12 03/30/2006 18:09 scottl Tuned and calibrated all transceivers prior to SByC study starting on 4/2.
