All of the transceivers within the (dewatered) sampling facility were shut off for the entire interval. However, the four full-flow transceivers (01 - 04) apparently remained up on UPS power for the entire 95 minutes, and timer tags on those transceivers were reported through 15:47:13, when the B2J client computer UPS was drained. Checked UPS for run time status and it indicated only 12 minutes. When the primary PC was disconnected, the UPS runtime indicated 167 minutes. This is bid odd given the amount of load on this one UPS. Suspect that the UPS was more the culpit rather than the PC. For good measures, both the UPS and the PC were swapped out, will evaluate the PC back in the K-Lab. Sync'd PC1 clock to PC2, submitted .204,205 gap files. PC1 is on file .108. Reconfigured the PTTP uploader to submit files and disengauged PC2 uploader. One other thing, uploaded the new B2J- 0600.hw1 file to the FTP server. The serial port setting on the original file was in correct for the new PC. PLC is on com-3. No other problems to report. 10/27/2010 07:58 Dave I did not correctly disable PTTP-Uploader on B2J-PC1 yesterday, so the platform resumed file uploads after its latest reboot. This resulted in three redundant data files from PC1. I pcA'd in again today and correctly configured PTTP-Uploader on B2J-PC1 to disable auto-uploads. I disabled file uploads on PC1 and enabled uploads on PC2. The PC clocks are within two seconds of each other and atomic time. 10/26/2010 07:57 Scott_Li In response to the unexplained outage yesterday on PC1, the primary pc will be replaced tomorrow along with the UPS. The trip tomorrow will also include other maintenance activities at BCC that was previously scheduled. I submitted B2J10297.206, B2J10297.207, and the modified B2J10297.908 from B2J-PC2 to patch the data gap. I reset the PC clocks, which had drifted more than five minutes from each other, to within one second of each other and atomic time. The SbyC gate was exercised. The Full Flow Watered Up/De-watered level switch was replaced with a L/S that has a different calibration (16" Near, 60" Far). Spiders and webs were found on the replaced L/S. Counters were cleared and PSMFC will monitor to see if this new detection window will work better than the previous. If problems continue to occur the spider issue may need to be investigated further or a different means of detecting the level may need to be implemented. PC1 is 75 seconds behind atomic time and PC2 is 87 seconds behind atomic time. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. No sticks were thrown as the facility is in primary bypass. The sample light bulb in the wetlab was replaced, a spare bulb was put in the locker. A problem with the neutral line going to the HMI in the wetlab is preventing the new bulb from lighting. This will be revisited when time allows. Outstanding files on PC2 were archived. Both PCs are 31 seconds behind atomic time. All transceivers were checked fro tuning, noise and detectability. There were no test sticks passed through the separator due to high numbers of PITtags passing through and the DGE efficiencies being at a high level. One theory as to why the by catch is greater to the right than to the left is that there are more diversion request to the left than there are to right. Fish can be put to the right tank when the gate goes left and to the left when the gate goes right but if the gate is going left more than it is going right then it makes sense that more 'by-catch' would be in the right tank. PSMFC will contact Jim Simonson to see if he has any suggestions or can take a look at the gate. All sticks were read and diverted properly. Noticed that the DDS was on and a sample rate of 1.0%. Spoke with Scott of PNNL and it was determined that they had been using all fish that were not specfically theirs in their by-catch calculation. There have been some fish put to the right and left tanks that as far as the system knew (PLC and MM) were supposed to go there. Hopefully that has been resolved. Manually cycled 3-way gate, no problems observed. Air PSI is at 90. PC clocks are within 4 seconds of each other and 43 seconds lagging atomic time. Test the effects of the new filtering and drives in the saltwater system on the Full Flow system. Noise levels on all 4 transcievers were 0 percent prior to the SW system being turned on. While monitoring the FF transceivers, the system was powered up and noise levels on all 4 FF transcievers were elevated by 10 to 30 percent. The hit rate on xcvr 04 while the SW system was running was reduuced from 100 percent HR to 0 percent. Appearently the filtering and new drives that were insrtalled has had no possitive effect on the FF PIT tag system. Talked with Bill W. and we will revisit the filters frequency band and possably replace with a different filter that eliminates the noise emminating from that system. A new SLC 5/05 has been installed and the DTAM and PV600 have been replaced with Ethernet/Email capable HMI's. Testing has been performed to ensure that communications to PC1 and PC2 are good, all switch states or MM messages were tested with the exception of Primay Bypass. Email capability was tested with AC Power. The PLC and HMI's are operating on UPS power. The site schematic has been updated to reflect this. Remote access has been verified. The Primary Bypass switch is working as it should. The COE Symax PLC is not and may be the result of clearances in place, I could not isolate the problem but was able to verify that the switch is changing state as it should. More testing will be done prior to start up. 4 GFI Circuit Breakers were replaced with standard circuit breakers. FLR2 CKT 2,4,6,8. CKT's 2 and 8 are now spares.
