    Ryan sends the following information:
    
    Canal operations are as follows:  Canal is watered in early March, dewatered 
    when flows drop below 18 cfs (usually in July/August), and rewatered again 
    around October 1st.  The canal is shut down for the winter after irrigation 
    requirements have been met or cold weather causes canal to freeze.  During 
    times of shutdown, and after fish salvages have been completed, tags should 
    not be detected on coils F1 and F2 (headgate antennas).  The bypass antenna 
    (coil FB) is located downstream of the fish bypass screen area and there is 
    potential for tags to be interrogated when fish wander up the bypass channel 
    during canal shutdown.

    buffer to fill up (3D9.1C2CE7E4C2)
