         The BVJ interrogation system, which in previous years contained
         detections of fish collected in the SMP sample, has been suspended.
         The SMP sampling effort will be reduced in 2000 to GBT and condition
         monitoring twice per week.  Any PIT-tagged fish detected in that
         sample, having been anesthetized, will be recorded as "Recapture"
         events.  Other than the two SMP samples per week, all PIT-tagged fish
         traversing the Bonneville First Powerhouse Bypass Channel will be
         interrogated as they pass over the BVX flat plate monitor.
