EVENT LOG FOR SITE CHP

    CHP was installed and tested on 4/22/11. The system consisted of two, 3'
    diameter antennas affixed to a rolled sheet of polycarbonate extending
    out from the hatchery outfall into the Chiwawa River.  The antennas were
    powered by Allflex OEM 310 reader boards.  Data from each antenna was
    stored on an Acumen DataBridge. A 6 VDC battery bank powered the
    detection system.



    The volitional release began on 4/25/11 at 11:00, at which time the
    detection system was turned on. The volitional release ended on 5/19/11
    at 11:00. The detection system was fully operational for the duration of
    the volitional release. All tags detected during the volitional release
    are contained in the file CHP11139.ALL



    The forced release began on 5/19/11 at 12:45. The remaining fish in the
    ponds were forced out and the ponds emptied by 16:00.  The detection
    system, located at the outfall of the facility, continued to detect tags
    until 04:52 on 5/20/11. The detection system was fully operational for
    the duration of the forced release, although it is likely that the
    detection system operated at a lower efficiency during the forced
    release due to numerous tags passing through the antenna fields
    simultaneously. All tags detected during the forced release are
    contained in the file CHP11140.ALL.



    The detection system was shut down and removed on 5/20/11 at 11:30.
