EVENT LOG FOR SITE ESJ The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 10/25/2006 08:08 Alan_Bro This is being reposted as the original posting yesterday didn't make it to the event logs: All primary data collection computers auto upload functions were re-engaged at 12:43 PST. Delinquent files were not manually pushed to PTAGIS. The uploader will submit files in the next 3 hrs. 10/24/2006 09:46 Alan_Bro Automated file loading has been disabled. 07/19/2006 09:18 Dave I disabled site-checking. 06/19/2006 08:44 Alan_Bro PCA'd into PC1 and found MiniMon still interrogating to ESJ06170.A1 as of 8:30 AM. Remotely rebooted PC1 via PCA, logged back into PC1 after reboot and manually submitted ESJ06169.G1 to verify comms. The resultant file gap will not be backfilled as the site is currently de-watered. -----Original Message----- From: pittag@psmfc.org [mailto:pittag@psmfc.org] Sent: Monday, June 19, 2006 7:15 AM To: ptoc_ken@psmfc.org Subject: Problems with remote data sites... The following problems with remote sites were detected; esj: Last data submission was received on Sun Jun 18 18:07:00 PST 2006 Please check this out. 06/06/2006 08:59 Dave I received word from Charlie Strom that Easton was dewatered on May 31. (The last fish was detected on May 17.) I've updated the obs_site_dates table with this information. I've also modified the notification list in the etc/sites file to notify Kennewick staff of problems with scheduled file uploads from ESJ. 05/10/2006 13:12 Alan A GMC was performed 5/10/2006. All transceivers were tuned. The monitors were sticktested with 10 sticks each, results following: A1 8/10 A2 9/10 (Lower performance due to sticks being hung up in monitor) B1 10/10 B2 10/10 Both PCs' clocks were adjusted to within one second of atomic time. No problems found. 05/02/2006 16:31 Alan_Bro Manually pushed ESJ06122.E1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 04/24/2006 09:58 Darren_C A site GMC was performed on Friday (4-21-06). All transceivers were checked for tuning and noise. 10 Sticks were passed through each detection monitor. No problems were found. Darren R. Chase PSMFC Systems Engineer (509) 735-2773 ext.3 darren@psmfc.org 03/08/2006 12:20 Dave I created a Timer Tag list file for ESJ, and updated the timer tag definitions in the ptagis3 database to reflect the tags currently in use at ESJ, including the tag on B2 replaced March 1. 03/02/2006 11:17 dlwarf@r B2:TestTagFailure: Timer tag replaced. 03/01/2006 15:41 Alan A GMC was performed 3/1/2006. The timer tag on antenna B2 was replaced. The new timer tag code for B2 is 3D9.0EEEEEE6F4. The monitors were opened and about 1/8" of water was removed from each. The water was probably there since before the bypass system was installed (which is working quite well). The buffers were erased on all four transceivers. A 1/4 wrap was added to antenna A1 to make it tunable by transceiver A1. All transceivers were tuned. The monitors were sticktested with 25 sticks each, results following: A1 24/25 A2 24/25 B1 25/25 B2 25/25 Both PCs' clocks were adjusted to within one second of atomic time. The timer tag has either fallen off the antenna or has failed. PSMFC will address this issue on the next site visit. 01/18/2006 08:31 darren@r B2:TestTagFailure: The timer tag on this antenna has either fallen off or has failed. This will be addressed on the next site visit. 01/13/2006 15:57 Dave I enabled site-checking for ESJ, as requested. 01/13/2006 08:34 darren@r B2:TestTagFailure: The site was tested yesterday through a PCA connection and it was found that the timer tag has either fallen off the antenna or has failed and will be replaced on the next site visit. 01/12/2006 14:15 Darren_C PSMFC was in contact with Charlie Strom to verify the disposition of this site on Tuesday 1-10-06. The site is preparing for fish arrival during the week of 1-17-06. In preparation PSMFC tried to establish communications with the computer platform and could not. After checking event log entries it appears that the platforms were shut down in June. Charlie was on site so I had him turn the computers back on. I was able to establish a PCA connection on both PC's. I created a 2005 Data directory on both PC's and archived all the 2005 Data. I check communications with all transceivers and there were no problems. The timer tag on antenna B2 will not fire, it may have fallen off or has failed, but the status report indicates that the detection system is in tune and there are no alarms. Darren R.
