The corp personel reported a problem with the override process to PSMFC at 0715. PSMFC arrived site at 1015. A thorough check of the PLC process found no problems. Problem was attributed to invalid switch settings in Separator control shack. This was determined by talking to the operators about what occured du the transition. Monitored the Sub-Sample process for four Sample cycles and problems found. 06/04/97 13:40 scottl Replaced controller for coils 94,96, A-raceway exit, coils A2,A4 A-diversion respectively. Controller was locked up when arrived on site. Backplane was replaced on 6/31/95, Tried to isolate problem card in controller but was inc 05/29/97 12:29 scottl Entry for work done on 5/28. The B-diversion exit flume was plugged due to debree from approx. 1130-1430h cleaned debree from the separator with the Pittag slide gate opened. This ro into the head box and down the exit flume. The major plug was just up-stream Rotating gate at the experimental site, (GOX). The SMP turned air off to the anticipating the debree to go the Raceways. Residual Back pressure in the ai caused the gate to open after air was shut off. This can be attributed to tw Scenarios. 1) The air supply was shut off prior to the solenoid controlling the closure timed out. 2) A faulty exhaust damper not completely releasing residual pressure. PSMFC cleaned and lubricated all pnuematic valves and solenoid to prevent th opening when air is turned off. Replaced Exciter for coil 2A on A-diversion. Re-routed GOX return signal wir to the signal filter box rather than the exciter return posts. Also reseated reader cards associated with coil A-2 and 48 B-separator. Suspected controller problems are starting to crop up. Will continue to monitor and try and improve. 05/23/97 15:36 scottl Scanned all collection computers for viruses. Replaced exciter on B-Separato to improve detection efficiency. Tune on this coil was at exactly 400Khz. coils 48,4A,4c,4E detected 15 of 15 stick tags. Ran stick test on A-separato with the up-stream coils off to check gate timing. All 20 Sticks where successfully diverted. Adjusted Exhaust valve again for soft closing of the Slide gate. Used course tuning adjustment on exciter for coil A2 (A-diversio to improve detection efficiency. Current was brought up considerably. Have a nice weekend! 05/19/97 21:35 scottl Slide Gate for the A-side Flume was not operating from approx. 1600 hrs to 2100 hrs. PSMFC responded to the problem. Debree caught in the gate rails was suspected to be the problem due to no other mechanical or electrical problem was found.. Inspected air lines and lubricated solenoid valves for preventive maintenance. The DTAM micro interface was in a communication Fault state when arrived on site. This should not have interfered with the operation of the PLC so it is not suspected to be the cu Although it is peculiar. 05/16/97 14:28 scottl Checked tune on A-raceway coils. All where at 400Khz.Good current. The efficiency of these coils is coming up and expect them to be at an exceptable level. Stick test again is cannot be ran by one person due to this flume is being diverted to the river rather than transport. Changed tune to 398Khz on coil 40 A-seperator. All coils on B-seperator are 399 - 401 Khz. Retuned coil 9e, B-race-exit and replaced Inductor L-10 on recieve curcuit. Component was at 54 ohms, Should be around 24ohms. Stick tests for both A and B separator coils where all at 100 percent of 20 stick tests. Again, Will monitor for improvment. Coil 48 on B-separato seems to be slightly low in efficiency, Tune is ok. Checked connectors in eciter and found some to be inadaquate. Will monitor... 05/16/97 11:07 scottl Entry for work done on 5/15/97. Per Carters, PC2 was cross mounted to PC1 logfiles directory on the Server. Problem was corrected at 1500 hrs this day. Checked current on coils 9c,9e on A-raceway. Tune looked to be at 400 Khz but will monitor for improvement. 05/16/97 11:03 scottl Entry for work done on 5/14/97 Tuned coils 40,42,44,46 on A-spearator. Tuned coils 48,4a,4c,4e on B-separator Stick test yieled 100 percent on all 8 coils. Tuned coil 9E on B-race-exit. Stick tested A-race-exit and detected 10 of stick tags. At this time, Raceway fish are going to the river so stick testing Racway monitors is difficult. Will monitor for improvment. 05/05/97 09:25 carters Dial out ppp setup and tested Wedneday, 4/30/97. 05/01/97 15:51 dlwarf Controller 24 was locked up. Reseated cards and rebooted to bring back online. 04/30/97 16:57 carters PC2 was directed to save files in the PC1 directory on the sun unix server when multimon version 4.29 was installed last weekend. This caused problems -- duplicate records and duplicate tag ids with time stamps that correspond with timestamps from both PC1 and PC2. Perhaps the hdw map file on multimon was configured on PC1 copied to PC2 and run without modifying the directory names. 04/30/97 11:07 dlwarf Replaced controller for coils 44 and 46. Both coils read 20 out of 20 sticks. Coils 40 and 42 read 18 out of 20. 04/29/97 09:48 scottl The Mortality monitor is operational as of 4/28/97 and is logging data. 04/28/97 13:17 scottl Replaced exhaust valve on B-separator gate controls.
