The first issue was the "overrun" conditions that have been seen on coil 23, I inspected the coil wires but found no sign of shorting or arcing, I then realigned the coils to minimize the interaction and loading affects. The second issue was coil E1 was not firing the timer tags, when the transceiver was checked it was found to be without power, we were going to replace the transceiver but before we did I inspected the fuse holders and found the conformalcoat had attached the plastic part of the fuse holder to the actual holder thus causing the holder to spread apart slightly. I removed the conformalcoat and cleaned the fuse of the carbon that had built up from arcing and replaced the fuse. This fixed the transceiver and I retuned the monitors. 08/05/2003 08:10 darren@r 21:TestTagFailure,22:TestTagFailure,23:TestTagFailure,52:TestTagFailure,B3 :TestTagFailure,C3:InputSyncDetect,C3:InputSyncLost,C4:InputSyncDetect,C4: InputSyncLost,E1:ReaderReset,E2:InputSyncDetect,E2:TestTagFailure,E3:Input SyncDetect,E3:InputSyncLost,E3:TestTagFailure: Alarms were generated by PTOC personnel while on site for testing and site maintenance. 08/05/2003 07:04 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/08/05 05:57:36 08/04/2003 10:03 DGE_Robo B_Sample_100% (B_S100) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/08/04 06:11:41 08/04/2003 10:03 DGE_Robo B_Sample_100% (B_S100) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/08/04 06:10:40 08/04/2003 10:03 DGE_Robo A_Sample_100% (A_S100) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/08/04 06:09:35 08/04/2003 10:03 DGE_Robo A_Sample_100% (A_S100) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/08/04 06:08:05 08/02/2003 10:48 troy@ree 23:Overrun,E2:BadOscFreq,E2:InputSyncLost,E3:InputSyncDetect,E3:InputSyncL ost: These alarms are noted and will be investigated on the next site GMC. 08/01/2003 07:04 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/08/01 05:58:42 07/31/2003 08:45 troy Per John Bailey, the site was removed from backup generator power between 1200 and 1400 7/30/03. Clocks on PCs are within 13 seconds of each other and 75 seconds of atomic time. 06/11/2003 13:01 Dave On March 30, PTAGIS staff inadvertently dumped part of a transceiver buffer into a live data file at GOJ prior to waterup. The file (GOJ03090.104) was uploaded and processed into the ptagis3 database, affecting the "last" values in the obs_main and obs_site tables for 444 unique tags recorded in GOJ03090.104. Today (June 11), I corrected the record sets in the obs_data, obs_main, and obs_site values, restoring the true "last" values for these 444 tags. PTAGIS staff are reminded that I become very cranky when I have to "un-ring the bell" like this, and that buffer dumps are ALWAYS to occur off-line. 06/09/2003 15:43 Troy Taped 10 new sticks (OCC) and left 10 untaped. Note: The new sticks with blue tape have an X on the opposite end of the stick from the PIT tag in order to keep from mixing up the current sticks that have blue tape on them and are already set up for Divert_252. Called Monty Price and walked him through updating the LMJ-PC2 database, and then had him monitor system activity while I updated the LMJ-PC1 database. Fortunately (or anal-retentively), I had already configured everything for the switch on LMJ-PC1, and was able to load in the new database within 35 seconds or so. According to Monty, there was no activity on PC2 during that interval. During the most recent update, two fish were detected while GOJ-PC1 was off-line; the fish should have been diverted but were not, as PC2 had not yet assumed gate control. The separator and raceway detections of these tags were buffered, and so appear in GOJ03114.107 between 17:27:01 and 17:27:14. Bottom line: no data loss, but two fish transported that would have been diverted if the gate wasn't temporarily (and unavoidably) deactivated. 04/24/2003 08:16 scottl@r SLC500:CommsFailure: The raw data only indicates a brief loss of comms to the PLC. This should not impact the efficeincy of the diversion system. 04/23/2003 15:00 Scott_Li Revised the PLC message page in GEN.HW1-2 file on PC1 and 2 to include the proper nomenclature that references the state of the primary bypass swing gate. PLC message is PRIMARY BYPASS ON, PRIMARY BYPASS OFF. PTOC was alerted to this problem by the UFO data report .Copied revised generic HW files to the FTP server for archiving. 04/23/2003 08:20 scottl@r SLC500:CommsFailure: Error is not of concern 04/21/2003 11:19 Dave Updated database to GOJ03111.DB and LMJ03111.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 04/20/2003 12:06 Dave Updated database to GOJ03110.DB. Connection was a little slow, and it took me longer than 60 seconds to swap the db on GOJ-PC1. One tag came across a separator gate while PC1 was offline and before PC2 took control; it was not diverted. PC2 then took gate control and did not relinquish it back to PC1 before a tag came through. This generated a SLC500 Comm error at 10:44:34. Next fish that came through was successfully diverted. PC1's buffer cached the tag that came through when PC1 was offline. No data loss; no hardware problems. Two fish got transported that should have been diverted back to the river. 04/19/2003 19:30 Dave I updated the database to GOJ03108.DB and LMJ03108.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. These databases contain information current through 3:00 am yesterday, 4/18. I updated the sites at ~6:00 pm today. The connections to GOJ were slow and tenuous, and I dropped the line repeatedly. LMJ went off with only one hitch. 04/18/2003 08:19 Darren_C After viewing the timer tag report for GOJ I noticed that there is no coil C4. I know it is firing and the code is 3D9.0EEEEEE5BB. We need to add this for maintenance. 04/17/2003 11:46 darren@r C4:TestTagFailure: This transceiver will be addressed today on site visit. 04/17/2003 10:38 Dave Updated database to GOJ03107.DB. In contrast to the problems I encountered yesterday, today I slipped in and out slicker 'n a greased pig. 04/16/2003 17:53 Dave Had a horrendous time establishing and maintaining a reliable pcA connection to GOJ-PC2 during the AM. Was able to connect during the PM, but pcA could not render the remote screen without extraneous vector mapping codes (I think). I was able to work around that, though, and the interface gradually improved to almost perfect. Ultimately, GOJ-PC2 was stable enough to allow me to proceed with file transfers and manipulations. GOJ-PC1 was never an issue. I finally updated the database to GOJ03106.DB at approximately 4:47 pm PST. 04/16/2003 12:47 scottl@r SLC500:CommsFailure: Alarm is not of concern. 04/15/2003 16:09 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/15 13:00:29 04/15/2003 15:04 Troy Threw sticks and ran report. New map instructions monitor all LYLE-0 (AC-31) tags at GRJ and GOJ; all of these tags are to be transported. At LMJ, two of five AC-31 tags will be diverted off the separator; the other 60% are to be transported. The existing GRJ database already contains the 129k+ AC-31 tags. I also updated the database files at GOJ and LMJ to GOJ03101.DB and LMJ03101.DB, respectively. In addition to the daily updates to CSS tags, these new databases contain the 129k+ AC-31 tags not previously instantiated at these sites. 04/11/2003 14:24 Dave SLC500 error at 13:11:21 occurred when I brought GOJ-PC1 back online after updating the configuration, and both PC1 and PC2 attempted to divert a tag. Troy and I have updated the watch.tag file on the FTP server to include stick tag codes that were discovered at GOJ that was not in the Watch.tag file... Obviously , the Report.exe would output incorrect results when a stick tag test was performed. This new file contains 8 new codes and will need to be copied to GOJ-PC2 by PTOC upon the next site visit.. So heads-up ! 04/09/2003 13:50 Dave I updated the database to GOJ03099.DB. In addition to the updates to CSS codes 11-26, this database contains 120k tags for the LGR Transportation Evaluation study, LGR-TE (AC-36). As defined in existing map file GOJ03090.MAP, these fish will be diverted to the river at a ratio of 1::4 (one of five to the river, four of five to the barge). 04/08/2003 20:55 ptagdev@ C4:TestTagFailure: This is a test of PostMessageOnly. Also, corrected the Ignor.tag file relating to the timertag code for Coil A-3.The new code for A-3 is 3D9.0EEEEEE482. Worked with Dave on the file management between PC1 and 2 to ensure that only the files that are needed were cued in PTTP for uploading. 04/02/2003 14:03 Dave Updated db file to GOJ03092.DB, containing AC conversions from 11-16 to 21-26. 04/02/2003 09:03 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/02 07:23:00 04/02/2003 09:03 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/02 07:22:59 04/01/2003 21:03 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 18:55:43 04/01/2003 21:03 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 18:55:43 04/01/2003 21:03 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/01 18:55:41 04/01/2003 21:03 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/01 18:55:41 04/01/2003 09:03 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/01 06:46:11 04/01/2003 09:03 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/01 06:46:10 04/01/2003 08:55 troy@psm 52:RocketPortNoEOT,A1:RocketPortNoEOT,A1:TestTagFailure,A2:TestTagFailure, A3:RocketPortNoEOT,C1:ReaderReset,C2:InputSyncDetect,C2:InputSyncLost,C3:I nputSyncDetect,C3:InputSyncLost,C4:InputSyncDetect,C4:InputSyncLost,E1:Tes tTagFailure,E2:TestTagFailure: Alarms generated by PTOC personnel during pre-season maint. 04/01/2003 08:21 Darren_C Dave et ALL, The buffer download was my fault. I tried to get into the pittag room prior to sending but by the time I got in there the file had been sent and processed. I posted to the event log but did not call Dave. I should have called Dave right then and there but we were trying to get the site up and going. We did avoid dumping the whole buffer. This should not happen again but if it does I will notify everyone right away. I thought we could catch the file before it was uploaded but we missed. 03/31/2003 19:02 DGE_Robo SByC_Enable (SBC) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/03/31 12:41:16 03/31/2003 19:02 DGE_Robo SByC_Enable (SBC) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/03/31 12:41:15 03/31/2003 18:37 Dave I updated the map file GOJ03084.MAP to address a deficiency noted by PTOC staff on-site today; to wit, the stick tag Action Codes 255 and 252 were not included in the SP0 (Monitor Only) DU's for the raceways, river and diversion exits, and sample room monitors. (The 255 and 252 ACs were properly defined in the goj-gen.map file.) I then installed new map and database files, GOJ03090.MAP and GOJ03090.DB, respectively. The GOJ03090.MAP file contains a new definition for AC-47 (DMITRI). Fish with this action code will be ignored (monitored, not diverted) at the separator gates, and monitored at all other locations. The GOJ03090.DB file contains 11,475 tag codes for AC-47, and 4844 additional tag codes for AC-16 (CSS-WF). This database also contains the first few (15) definitions in ACs 21-26 for CSS tags previously detected and diverted back to the river at GRJ. The clocks on both PCs are in sync with each other and "real" time. 03/31/2003 14:16 Dave Correction to previous submittal. Erroneous buffer dump into the live data file DEFINITELY introduced 444 unique tag detections into the database. We will have to "unring the bell" for these detections. Until then, ignore these detections. The site is currently inactive. Secondary collection (and PIT tag detection) is scheduled to begin tomorrow, April 1, at 7:00 am. NAHC. 03/31/2003 13:58 Darren Site was functionally tested as of 14:00 on 3-31-03. All gates were timed and all transceivers were checked for tuning. File GOJ03090.104 may have tag information from an inadvertant buffer dump. We shut off the transceiver, but there could possibly some tag codes from last year in that file. I notified Dave M. Site is ready for 2003 out migration season. 03/31/2003 12:05 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/03/31 10:30:02 03/31/2003 12:05 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/03/31 10:30:01 03/31/2003 12:05 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/03/31 09:44:56 03/31/2003 12:05 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/03/31 09:44:54 03/31/2003 12:05 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/03/31 09:44:35 03/31/2003 12:05 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/03/31 09:44:30 03/31/2003 12:05 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/03/31 09:41:17 03/31/2003 12:05 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/03/31 09:41:17 03/31/2003 11:02 darren@p 52:RocketPortNoEOT,A1:RocketPortNoEOT,A1:TestTagFailure,A3:RocketPortNoEOT ,C4:TestTagFailure: 52:RocketPortNoEOT,A1:RocketPortNoEOT,A1:TestTagFailure,A3:RocketPortNoEOT ,C4:TestTagFailure: Site will be tested for season start today by PTOC personnel. I uploaded the "gen" versions of the hardware files from PC1 and PC2 to the PTAGIS FTP server. I updated the current ignor.tag file from the site to the PTAGIS FTP server. I deleted all "gn8" files on PC1 and PC2. All generic Multimon configuration files are now mirrored between each site's PC1 and PC2 platforms and the respective site directory on the PTAGIS FTP server. 5) I downloaded and installed the goj03082.db and lmj03082.db databases to PC1 and PC2 at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 6) I downloaded and installed the goj03084.map and lmj03084.map map files to PC1 and PC2 at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 7) With Multimon inactive, I synced the clocks on PC1 and PC2 to "real time". 8) I rebooted PC1 and PC2, changing the "Shut Down Windows" option from "Shut Down" to "Re-Start" as necessary. The Multimon Computer platforms at GOJ and LMJ are now configured for active diversion and monitoring for the 2003 field season. The sites are scheduled to begin secondary collection (fish across the separator) at 0700h on 4/1/03. 03/21/2003 13:41 Dave I enabled site polling. 03/20/2003 18:08 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample The alarms on coils 92, and E3 were generated by a random reader reset. This problem is being investigated by PTOC personnel. The test tag failure will be addressed when the facility is worked on for pre- season. 01/01/2003 12:12 Dave Initialized new event log for 2003. 2002 event log has been archived. ####End of Event Log for GOJ###
