I reset it to a partial window before switching to a full-screen DOS box. This was done due to building wiring fault detected by the UPS's. The DCP or PLC will not have backup power until the PIT tag room wiring can be evaluated and repaired. No test sticks were passed through the separator monitors, site personnel have asked for us not to place fish in the SbyC tanks if possible, but the gates were manually fired and there was no indication of any hesitations in gate operations. All transceivers were checked and adjusted fro tuning, noise, and detectability. The PC clocks were off in both directions (PC1 behind and PC2 ahead of atomic time) so an attempt was made to adjust them. I discovered that the shutting down of Multimon was causing the PC's to lock up. I adjusted the BIOS on PC2 and changed multimon to match the control panel for the right com port and checked gate function but I SLC comm errors, so I decided to put everything back to its original state and reboot the PC. There are two short file gaps on PC1 which at no time was there a PITtag detection recorded on PC2. All tranceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. PC1 is +49 seconds of atomic time and PC2 is -30 seconds of atomic time. The two times I tried to adjust the time on PC2 I ran into the same issue. When I f10 to quit MM all is well, when I X out and answer Y to close the MM program (I know I don't need to do this to change the time but I like to) the mouse and keyboard becomes unavailable and I have to drop the machine on the floor....I didn't exit out of MM completly and adjusted the clocks on both PC's to within 1 second of atomic time and each other. Strangly the window on PC2 didn't appear right. I clicked on the restore button and MM went to the proper size window and all seems to be working fine now, perhaps MM was just left in a window rather than the state "alt/enter" puts it....? PSMFC will monitor. No other problems to report, the gates look and sound good. Did not test the 3 way as the tanks are dry. 07/01/2009 08:12 scottl@b SLC500:CommsFailure: These errors were generated while PC1 was off line and maintenance being performed. 06/30/2009 10:58 Scott_Li Addressed the remote access issue that was reported with PCA PC1. Found that PCA was using the Default Accelerator video mode rather than the Compatibility Mode . Changed setting remotely then PC1 disconnected the PCA session and and was non responsive after that. With assistance from the Separator Operator, PC1 was rebooted and remote access was restored along with a solid very responsive PCA session. Created and submitted patch file 181.205 to cover the gap during the outage. No other issues to report. Dave, Please test drive GOJ PC1 and see what you think. All transceivers were checked for tuning, noise, and detectability all adjustments were made as necessary to optimize the detection ability of the systems. No test sticks were passed through the separator monitors. The DGE report has been showing the gates are operating at a very high efficiency. The Primary bypass switch was also tested to ensure its operability and no problems were found. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The gates were observed in good working order. No sticks were thrown due to good traffic and high efficiencies. The clocks on both PCs are eight seconds behind atomic time. All outstanding files on PC2 were archived. No problems found. Regarding the separator cleanout process, most recently occurring on 6/10/2009: In the absence of switches to disable the slide gates, site personnel were asked to leave the slide gates enabled and electronically disable the 3-Way gate. They expressed concerns of debris getting into the SbyC path. They will continue to disable the slide gates by removing the air and let us know the time frame that the gates were inoperable. It was stressed to them the importance of the timeliness of this notification. Little Goose switched from collection to primary bypass operations from 0700 hours to 1500 hours today in order to clean the separator, raceways and orifices.. The separator was drained slowly from 0700 to 0830 in order to move fish into the raceways or through proper PIT-tag routing increasing by-catch into the SxC tank. During the process only the sample gates were shut off. Lots of small type of debris continues to roll in and I expect the separator will again need cleaning in 7 to 10 days. Darren R. The timing on A gate was adjusted slightly, in particular the Secondary and Tertirary T/O times. The Travel close time on B gate was changed slightly. The new times were in the original pit event. Several attempts were made to establish comm's between the Util and the PLC but I was not successful. A new PIC will be brought on the next site visit. RSLinx shows no conflicts and show the driver working fine but none of the nodes are reachable from the Util. A laptop and USB will also be tried to prove the DH-485 connection is good from the pittag room to the PLC. The Util had difficulty connecting to the internet. I at first thought it was due to Dave updating the database but once he was done it was still difficult to access ptagis and when I could things obviously didn't work right as the original pitevent is lost.....? 05/19/2009 12:43 Dave Updated database and map files to GOJ09139.DB and GOJ09139.MAP, respectively. The issue that was discovered with PC2 creating SLCComms failures and concurrent unsuccessful diversions has been remedied with a 90 to 95 percent confidence level. The PCL line drivers in the PIT room and out at the PLC were replaced, along with the backup computer, and the PLC y cable was rebuilt. Every connection and termination involved with the communications between the DCP and PLC were checked for problems and issues were corrected if found. The primary PC's UPS had been known to be bad and is suspected to be the cause of the many device failures leading up to the SLC Comms failures ??? During the course of troubleshooting, PC1 was online and data collection was not impacted during this period, although diversion activities were impacted from ~ 11:30 am to 7:00 pm. The situation will be difficult to monitor for the obvious reason that PC will not divert unless PC1 goes down. In addition, the primary UPS and the secondary UPS were replaced with new APC 1500's. The only devices on these units are the data collection PC's only. All other devices are backed up by a APC 1300. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. The y Cable for 02 was replaced to see if that eliminates the No EOT's. A spare modemnest and power supply was left in the pittag room in case the y cable doesn't fix it. 2 spare y cables were placed in the locker. The VTT was adjusted on 04. PC2 was upgraded to 511 MB of RAM PC1 was upgraded to 766 MB of RAM (the gap file for PC2 was submitted even though there was no fish activity) The gates were timed and tuned and 10 sticks were thrown on each. 1 stick must have been bad as it was missed on all B coils but was seen on 21,22 and 23. Otherwise all sticks were diverted and read properly on the A and B coils and gates. 19 sticks went through the C coils and the 3 way gate. All were diverted properly. C4 missed on stick. The flag on B gate was found to be loose. Site personnel are in the process of fixing it. No other problems to report. I exited Multimon during this effort. The data gap is inconsequential as the site is de-watered. 02/03/2009 10:01 Troy Tried 2 times to manually push GOJ09034.103 but it would error out. Found a .zip file in C:\Program Files\PTAGIS\Uploader\Temp . I moved the .zip file to an 'Old ZIPs' folder already on the computer.
