The new TT code is 3D9.0EEEEEE2DD (the old code was 3D9.0EEEEEE368). ignor.tag was updated on both PCs and uploaded to PTAGIS. The clocks on both PCs were set to within one second of atomic time. If the timer tag has failed it will be replaced at that time. 09/29/2011 13:27 Troy Using the Bora Scope it was determined that sensor chatter due to vibration was causing the anti-slam logic to occasionally fail. 20 lines of code were added to the PLC to compensate for the sensor chatter. The HMI was updated to allow the user to enter different "chatter" times. A FF tune was performed. 03's Capacitor box had come off the pipe. It was pressed back on and transceiver re tuned. 01 is noisy and can't be tuned out (high teens to mid 20's). No other problems to report. 09/06/2011 14:02 Troy The UHMW guide with prox sensors was installed on A gate. This flag seems to vibrate more than B gate. A small PLC change was made to account for this, PSMFC will monitor to make sure this fix works. The gates are operating well. 09/02/2011 12:43 Troy While on site for cell booster investigation it was noticed that B gate was routinely miss sensor 3. A slight adjustment to the sensor seems to have solved the problem. PSMFC will continue to monitor. 09/02/2011 12:09 Troy Modification to PCA on all three PC's required a reboot. The patch files GOJ11245.206, .207 and .208 were manually submitted. Reboots coincided with file changes and PC1 locked up the first time Multimon was closed. PC1 was 58 seconds behind atomic time and PC2 was 67 seconds behind atomic time. To perform transformer maintenance, Little Goose recently had a couple of short power outages at the JFF to switched from station service to back-up generator and again back to station service. The outages may have interfered with PIT-tag detections. The old sensors were left in place in case we need to go back to them. PSMFC will monitor this for a period of time and if it continues to work well then A Gate will be fitted with the same type of guide. The side to side was tested manually between A and B gate diversions and appears to be operating well. No sticks were thrown due to good gate efficiencies and high fish traffic. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. The SS was tested in between diversions at the separator gates to ensure no fish were entrained. The left travel close was adjusted from 11 to 10. Sensor 3 on B gate was being missed on a regular basis due to vibration of the flag and less than desirable alignment of the sensor. The sensor was re-aligned which is helping. PSMFC is hoping to change out the sensors with proximity type sensors on one of the gates as early as next week. HMI programming was done to test the text function. Some assistance was required from Portland but it appears to be working now. PC1 is 4 seconds behind atomic time and PC2 is 6 seconds behind atomic time. All data files that were opened while MultiMon was in the Seasonal Counter screen were missing the expected first line, and were rejected by IDL. I edited all the rejected files to include this line and successfully resubmitted them. The flag for B gate had been removed to use as a template to build the flag for broken A gate flag. Both flags were re-installed and the gates were tested by a great deal of fish traffic and seem to be working well. The 3G micro cell worked for a while but lost 3G inexplicably. Troubleshooting guide said to power down and power up the device. After 60 min+ of waiting the unit still had not found a GPS lock. While trying to get things working the computer port of the microcell was connected to the sonic wall. This brought down the internet connection on the Util machine and on PC2 (PC1 was not tested). Once the computer port was unplugged the internet connection came back on both PC's. No sticks were thrown due to high fish traffic. Some PLC and HMI programming was done so that the screen stays lite all the time and the alarm stays on the screen until cleared. The light in the sep shack was obstructed and is working fine. A request was made to have the HMI beep when there is a problem but to allow them to turn the beep off even if the problem isn't fixed. I started down that path but will need to do some lab testing before implementing in the field. PC1 is 46 seconds behind atomic time and PC2 is 47 second behind atomic time. The alarm was cleared around 09:00 and subsequent phone calls were made to the site. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. A lot of effort was put into trying to modify the gasket that was put on A gate over the off season. The gasket is deflecting the sensor flag such that sensor 3 is being missed occasionally. I finally had to remove the gasket completely in order for things to work properly. The original design did not have a gasket so my theory is that the gasket changes the angle of the slot that the flag rides in. The gasket will be given to the site Bio and an explanation as to why it was removed. 10 sticks were thrown on A and B gate and consequently 20 on the side to side. The stick tag test results are not ideal, it is very hard for these shorter sticks to maintain orientation. All sticks were diverted properly. Uploaded GOJ11112.207 as patch file and archived all outstanding data files on PC2. 04/21/2011 07:32 Troy The AC POWER ON and AC POWER OFF messages on 4/20/2011 were due to changing the DNS addresses on the PLC. This required the PLC to go to configure mode briefly. There was not a power outage. 04/20/2011 14:10 Troy A site GMC was performed 04/20/2011. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. The site Biologist reports that he lowered the level of the separator over a 2 hour period to push the 'resident' fish out. This (as in the past) caused the gate efficiencies to drop. B gate was found to be stuttering shut thus banging. This was mentioned to the site Biologist. This usually is an alignment issue. COE mechanics will investigate. The soft close regulator was not working as efficiently as it should. I took the regulator apart and turned over the diaphragm. I then re-assembled the regulator. The regulator is now working properly. PC1 was 53 seconds behind atomic time and PC2 was 58 seconds behind atomic time. I adjusted both PC's to within 2 seconds of atomic time and 1 second of each other. GOJ11110.207 was the gap file and was submitted in the proper order. Given the fact that all the "misses" happened during the same hour and there hasn't been any diversion activity since that hour I suspect the separator level was lowered thus flushing all the fish out. This was the case last week and most likely the case this week. Will monitor to see if the VPN tunnels recover on their own. 02/01/2011 13:53 scottl In an attempt to solidify the VPN tunnel, the following was instantiated: When arrived the SW Logs indicated that the licensing renewal was experiencing an error with a DNS server and cannot resolve. Changed the DNS entries in the SW to: 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 4.2.2.3, these are google public dns servers. DNS entries on the client computers were not changed or effected. Added KeepAlive routine to registry in the utility pc. Verified that the keepAlive was enabled in the SW Turned on remote management in the DSL modem Port forwarded the SW port so that remote reboot is available for both devices. In lieu of all the above, the DSL and SW unplugged, rebooted and dropped as a test to see if the VPN tunnel would re-establish and it recovered in all instances.
