EVENT LOG FOR SITE 1_GRJ Most recent activity to be listed first. First line of each entry lists date, time & who is reporting. Subsequent lines of each entry aligned 4 spaces in. Date Time Who What -------- ----- -------- ----------------------------------------------- 11/04/96 11:25 dlwarf The site was put into full bypass on 10/31/96 at 7:00am. 11/01/96 16:09 scottl The facility has been shutdown for the season. PSMFC will travel to the site next week for winterization. 10/16/96 07:09 scottl The upload process failed for this facility on 10/15.The process was successful on 10/16 and retrieved missing 10/15 files. This is a typical phone line problem. 09/17/96 08:17 dlwarf Visited for a general maintenance check. Subsample timertags were not firing on 9/15 and 9/16. No problem was found and are now operating. Increased cycle time on large slide gate from 1.4sec to 3.5sec. Ran test sticks on A Separator/Gate with these results: Coil 28 read 20 out of 20 sticks. Coil 2A read 20 out of 20 sticks. The B Separator/Gate tunnel is still down due to COE operational issues. 09/13/96 11:09 scottl Per Tim Wik, The B-side flume was closed again on sept 5th around 0900hrs. This will remain closed until further notice due to excessive debree.. 09/04/96 10:46 scottl Tim Wik called and informed us that the B side separator flume is now operating again as of 0700 sept 4th. 09/04/96 07:47 scottl The old efficiency reports indicated a decline for diversion 2 coils 36,38. Found exciter to be almost dead. Replaced exciter. No other problems found. 08/27/96 17:29 scottl General Maintenence check found no problems. Changed back up diskette on collection computer. 08/27/96 17:21 scottl General maintenence check found no problems. Timer tag on coil 1A (west raceway) is not firing. The flume is dewatered. Facility is in 100\ sample therefore no water is in this flume. Stick tested the A-seperator, Results below. coil 28 detected 6 of 6 stick tags coil 2A detected 6 of 6 and all where sucessfully diverted by the sample gate. The B-side seperator flume is still dewatered. Also Changed back up diskettes on both main and backup computer. 08/19/96 07:42 dlwarf The flume leading to the B-Separator Gate monitor has been shut down due to debris, by the COE, starting on 8/8/96. It will remain down until further notice. 08/12/96 07:31 dlwarf Site Bio. reports that the site went to 100ample on the morning of 8/8/96. 07/31/96 10:02 dlwarf Visited site yesterday for a general maintenance check and found no problems. Ran sticks on the separator coils with these results: Coil 28 read 10 out of 10 sticks. Coil 2A read 10 out of 10 sticks. Coil 2C read 10 out of 10 sticks. Coil 2E read 10 out of 10 sticks. 07/17/96 08:20 dlwarf Visited for a general maint check. Ran sticks on separator coils with these results. Coil 28 detected 10 out of 10. Coil 2A detected 10 out of 10. Coil 2C detected 10 out of 10. Coil 2E detected 10 out of 10. 07/11/96 08:47 carters The upload process (mlink) hung while sending the GRJ data set this morning. Modem reset did not free the process. The mlink process was killed and the upload continued with the JDJ upload. Livingston will trouble-shoot the GRJ site for computer / modem problems. This problem caused a delay in the upload process. The PTAGIS system was locked out while the interrogation upload process runs. PTAGIS is up by 9:00. 07/03/96 08:16 scottl Visited site for General maintenence check. Stick tested A and B Seperators, below are the results. A-Seperator coil 28 detected 10 of 10 sticks 2A 10 of 10 B-Seperator coil 2C 10 of 10 2E 10 of 10 The sample gate diverted all sticks. Noticed that the Sample gate was slamming hard, very hard! at the end of its travel open time. Reduced the travel open time from 200ms to 140ms to minimize this. Tim Wick was concerned about the gate being damaged. Replace exciter on Sub-sample coils 20,22. String test indicated that these monitors where reading very well. No other problems found. 06/26/96 08:20 dlwarf Ran a general maintenance check. Efficiency reports show missed fish due to gate timing. Increased large slide gate open time from 1.2 to 2.0 sec. in the Divert During Sample mode. This was done to try to minimize fish missed by the large gate because of their tendency to hold for a short time in front of the gate. Ran stick tests on both separator tunnels with this result: Coil 28 detected 10 out of 10 sticks. Coil 2A detected 10 out of 10 sticks. Coil 2C detected 10 out of 10 sticks. Coil 2E detected 10 out of 10 sticks. 06/17/96 21:17 scottl This is a correction for the enry made on 6/14/96. The facility is NOT in 100 percent sample as previously reported. The sample rate today is 25 percent. Removed all covers from exciters to help dissipate heat during the summer months. Covers will be restored when appropriate. General maintenence check found no problems. 06/14/96 15:28 scottl Per mike (assistant biologist) the sample gate override swiches were thrown at 0700 this morning. The facility is in 100 percent sample and diverting during sample. 06/05/96 16:35 scottl Efficiency report showed that the SubSample, coil 22 was dead. Repaired connection in exciter for coil 22. String test are difficult to determine efficiency. Tunnel responded well to the string test. No other problems found at site. 06/04/96 15:56 dlwarf Review of efficiency reports show no major problems at site. 06/02/96 08:38 scottl entry for work done on 6/1/96. Replaced exciter on diversion 1, coil 36,38. Repaired connection at exciter for A-raceway, coil 18. Ran stick test on A and B seperator and raceway with 100 percent efficiency. General maintenence check found no other problems. 05/21/96 07:58 scottl General maintenence check found no problems. Stick tests on seperator coils where 1000n all coils. Changed back-up diskettes. 05/15/96 10:35 jen modem hung for over 4 hours during nightly download of interrogation files. this is due to intense rain in the northwest region. 05/14/96 07:34 scottl General maintenence check found no problems. Stick tests on seperators were 100 percent efficiency. 05/08/96 07:50 scottl General maintenence check found no problems. Ran sticks test on the seperato efficiency. Pittag room Air conditioner was off. Ken McEntire turned it on. Also replaced back up diskettes. Sub Sample tunnel Coil 20 is still very speratic in efficiency. 05/03/96 15:14 dlwarf Installed new version of the monitor program on the backup computer. Time is now being synchronized every hour. Worked on subsample coil efficiency. Did a general maintenance check. Ran sticks on the separator tunnels with 95 percent efficiency or better. 04/29/96 08:21 scottl 4/27/96, Visited site for general maint. check Resoldered connections in Sub-Sample signal filter and reseated reader card. No major problems found. 04/23/96 19:43 scottl Changed exciter on A-seperator to try and inprov Stick tag test of 30 sticks was at 100 percent efficiency on both coils 28,2A. Slide gate successfully div Changed reader card in controller 12 for coil 20, Subsample. Signal filter box was flooded and in the near future. 04/22/96 09:08 scottl Per Don Warf, Adjusted voltaged on A and B separator. Tuned West raceway tunnel coil 18, Also tuned Sub-Sample coils 20,22. 04/18/96 15:03 dlwarf Replaced exciter for coils 20 and 22 on the subsample tunnel.
