We were inadvertently blocked and Chris Sampier did not realize that we owned the whole block of addresses. He initially unblocked only one address which allowed us to PCA into the sites but we could not send any data to our servers. After he realized that we needed all the addresses we were able to get in and send the files via PTTP and PCA. We will monitor for the 16:00 upload to ensure that the sites are loading on their own and continue to watch fro any other aspects that may not be working. Although we can get to the platforms we are still unable to send data or do any ftp sessions from the sites out. I am still working to resolve this issue. All the transcievers were checked for tuning and noise. 10 sticks were passed through both the "A" and "B" separator monitors with 100% detection and diversion. The clocks fro PC1 and PC2 were 1 minute and 27 seconds and 1 minute and 10 seconds behind atomic time. The PC clocks were adjusted and during the 42 seconds that PC1 was out of data collection no Pittags were detected on PC2. After a couple of attempts I was able to get to GRJ-PC2, but banged on GRJ-PC1 for about 20 minutes without success. Called Doug Ross at LGR and enlisted his assistance. He was able to manually upload the outstanding files from PC1, and then rebooted PC1. After a couple more attempts, I was able to pcA into GRJ-PC1. I uploaded the patch file from PC2 to cover the interval during which PC1 was out of data collection mode and/or rebooting. 07/08/2008 11:03 Dave I programmatically "CLOSED" GRJ08189.108, which was truncated by a scheduled power outage. The outage began at 21:47:27 on July 7, although the PCs ran on UPS power until after 23:00. Power was restored at 02:54:40 on July 8. The site was experiencing water problems (high flume levels) which most likely caused the E gate troubles the second problem was A gate sensor 1 being missed. This may have been a result of the high water levels. Cleared the alarm remotely and watched the sensors as the sep op fired the gate. All appears to be working properly. East raceway gate is low in efficiencies. Talking to Neil and Ken from NMFS, I was informed that fish in East Raceway 10 have been making their way back up the diversion pipe possibly re-entering antennas 31 and 32. Along with that, they also report that fish were jumping out of the raceway's and back into the East Raceway flume, swimming upstream and then re-entering East Raceway 10. In attempt to prevent this merry-go- round effect screens and rubber flaps have been installed at entrances of the RW. This phenom may be some of the reason for low gate efficiencies on E-gate. The facilty went into primary bypass mode this morning ~5:56 as indicated by the level sensor pit event. Due to massive debree problems, the facility will be back in primary bypass for ~ 1/2 hr in order to clean the incline screen that are plugging up with pine needles. The facility is actually being dewatered at this time and the level sensor should alert us to this event. No further problems to report. 05/22/2008 10:38 Dave Doug Marsh reports that PIT-tagged fish diverted to Raceway 10 Monday evening, May 19, were not transported as expected on Tuesday, May 20, but were instead held an additional day and transported on Wednesday, May 21. Separately, Doug reports that PIT-tagged fish collected (as by-catch) in the NMFS marking raceways Monday evening were bypassed back to the river Tuesday afternoon, rather than transported as is usually the case. The new configuration includes 280k+ fall Chinook to be transported along with the untagged population (AC-48) and 15k+ fall Chinook targeted for SxC collection (AC-85). These AC-85 fish will be diverted to the SxC tank Sunday through Thursday starting May 18 and continuing through July 17 (unless otherwise directed by Billy Connor). Per Doug Marsh's excellent suggestion, since Frank Loge's collection is now done, all fish (both target tags and bycatch) will be collected in the default net pen closest to the road. This includes any of Frank's target tags (AC-91 & 92) that might now be inadvertently diverted as bycatch. Working with Dave, it was agreed that a "Hard Reboot" of PC1 was necessary in order to game reset the RP cards. This was a prudent thing to do due to the anticipated amount of fish traffic through the system in conjunction with the SByC study at the site.. These errors were occurring on PC1 and not PC2. I suspect, however, that during their collection intervals tags in excess of the collection quotas will be "skipped" at the separator and instead pass by the Raceway-10 gate. Found that the middle sensor (Sensor 2) was on occasion slower to turn on than the other two sensors. Alignment of the sensor was ok and the face of the sensor was clean. Replaced the sensor with a new one which seemed to fix the problem. All connections were double checked to eliminate that as a possible cause. The gate times were slightly adjusted and the new gate times are below. No other problems to report. I asked him to make some slight adjustments to the soft close of B gate which he did. He will call if he feels a visit tomorrow is warrented. 03/26/2008 08:15 Troy In response to the several B-Gate Trouble alarms, contacted GRJ personnel and found that the sample gate is having issues slamming open (out of sample). Changed some values in the PLC to prevent B-gate Trouble alarms (most likely caused by vibration of sample gate slamming) and gave the sep operator some things to try on the sample gate, mainly bumping up the air pressure as he reports the sample gate is sticking.
