    Visited for a general maintenance check and found no problems.

    Replaced exciter for coil 96 (diversion river gate monitor) due to low
    efficiency. Adjusted Two-way gate air pressure from 40psi to 90psi for
    proper operation. There was very little flush water in the flume after the
    two-way gate therefore the diversion efficiency was very poor. Adjusted the
    Flush water to the proper level. NMFS ran fish thru the diversion system
    after the adjustments all was well. Did not modify PCNFS settings or delay
    settings on the pc's due the system was in use at the time.

    Visited on 6/29 for a general maintenance check and found both
    serial cables pulled out of controller 80. Replaced exciter for
    coils 94 and 96.

    Controller for the coils 80-86 is locked up and not responding. Had the
    SMP cycle power on the controller but did not fix the problem.
    Will correct the on the next site visit. Informed Sandy Downing of the
    situation.

    Called Todd about no data from grx. Todd reinitialized PPP process
    for this site and got connected. We should get data from this site on
    the next polling period.

    Visited for a general maintenance check on 5/26/98. Fired timer tags on all
    coils. Checked phone line for noise.

    Replaced exciter for coils 70,72 on diversion river exit monitor due to
    low efficiency.

    Notified USWest about noise on the data line.

    The problem with the upload process has been corrected. Modem in Gladstone
    was not hanging up.

    Called uswest again and placed another trouble call for the data line.
    They will be there on monday morning. Also called lorn jensen and made him
    aware of the problem and requested they take another look at it. He does
    not work on fridays. He will return to work on Monday.

    The data line is still down. Corps personell says that it is on Us. West sid
    Called us west again this morning and reported problem. They will test and
    service the line again and call with status. The file server O.S. was
    upgraded on 3/23.

    The problem with the data line has been reported to us.west and should be
    today.

    Grx has been unreachable for sometime. Called Smolt monitoring p. to check
    on the status of the computers but they will not be at the facility until
    march 15. Will correct situation asap..
