EVENT LOG FOR SITE ICH The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 12/20/2007 14:45 Troy The final installation and testing ended 12/20/2007 @ 2:40. We will get notices posted to the pitevent if the ladder de-waters, floods, or if the LT is disconnected. We also get a notice if the radio link is lost on either ladder. Currently if the radio is down for more than 14 min's we will get a notice. It checks itself every 128 seconds and if it isn't found after 7 tries we get an alarm. The water level is checked and reported every 900 seconds or 15 min's. 12/19/2007 07:31 Troy Mark Plummer called to report that the FF was dewatered at ~0800 on 12/18/2007. 12/18/2007 15:49 Troy Ladder level indication via email was install on the North and South ladders 12/18/2007. Testing was done today after the installation. The (test email) portion of the email was removed. Final testing will be completed tomorrow and all pitevents after that should be viewed as valid. More tomorrow after the testing is wrapped up. 12/18/2007 07:27 troy@ruf 02:LowExcCurrent: These alarms were generated during a site GMC. 12/17/2007 15:04 Troy A site GMC was performed 12/17/2007. Had issues getting in the north ladder door. A call will be made to Mark Plummer to see if he can issue a trouble ticket. A COE employee let me in. After checking the transceivers I tried to duplicate the finegaling he did to let me in but was yet again unsuccessful. The south ladder slot antenna's (all but 08) had elevated noise (mid teens). I was able to tune the noise out of 06,and 04 but could only get to 10-12% on 02? PSMFC will monitor to see if the situation changes. The FF was checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. The TT pot was adjusted on 03 to see if that will help increase the number of TT hits we get. 12/17/2007 07:44 troy@ruf 0D:TestTagFailure: This alarm will be addressed on the next site visit. 12/04/2007 14:15 Darren A site GMC was performed today (12-4-07). The files that were outstanding loaded on there own at the 15:00PST load time. 09/02/2007 10:03 Darren_C I was able to verify that the Walla Walla district communications are down. According to Lin Ming at Little Goose Dam he received and e-mail yesterday that stated because of a severe storm in Walla Walla there was some damage to a 4 ton Air Conditioning unit at the district office and that the communications would be down until Monday, probably Tuesday because of the Holiday. I will have to verify all platforms with the help of site personnel as best I can. I was able to verify GOJ data collection. 09/02/2007 09:14 Darren_C It appears that there is some problems with the Walla Walla District communications and has been since yesterday afternoon. I have been trying to reach Pete Peterson or Dave Dave Demaris to verify the problem. I will continue to try and get into the sites and verify when communications are restored. 09/01/2007 16:31 Darren_C The timer tag on antenna 0B is not firing because the system is in a state of excessive noise. There is no direct cause for this noise, but it started on Friday night along with several other antennas. We will continue to monitor this facility for noise and address it next week. 08/30/2007 10:21 Scott_Li The internet connection for this site is down due to router problems. The COE WW IT folks are onsite at this time trying to remedy the problem. Per Darren and Dave DeMaris, it could take the rest of the day to repair the problem. Will monitor progress and report back when issue has been resolved. 08/30/2007 08:25 Don_Warf We'll be traveling to the site this morning to investigate why we've lost the network link. 08/24/2007 08:06 Alan Manually pushed ICH07236.B1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 08/21/2007 08:25 PTOC_Bot The timer tag on unit A3 is not firing due to system activity, the noise levels are at 91 percent. Will correct on the next scheduled GMC. 08/20/2007 11:43 Alan Manually pushed ICH07232.C1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 08/20/2007 16:44 Alan Manually pushed ICH07232.E1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 08/21/2007 08:25 PTOC_Bot The timer tag on unit A3 is not firing due to system activity, the noise levels are at 91 percent. Will correct on the next scheduled GMC. 08/14/2007 13:55 scottl Performed site GMC, all transceivers were tuned and recalibrated as necessary, no problems to report. PC clocks are within 18 seconds of each other and within 37 sec. of atomic time. 08/06/2007 12:27 scottl Traveled to the site in order to troubleshoot the network communications problem back to PTAGIS. Problem turned out to be a faulty FO jumper in the level 4 phone room from the patch panel to the media converter prior to the router interface.Pulled in new FO jumper and tested OK. For future reference, the main FO run from the phone room to the PIT tag room was moved from BH 3 and 4 to 5 and 6 at each PP. Regarding the phone system, verified dial tone at the demark was in working order, cycled power on the TT-2010 converter, phone in PIT room is still not operative. All indicator lights on each device are normal and suspect that either the tt or tr-2010 is defective. Will revisit this in the near future. No other problems to report. 08/03/2007 16:27 Don_Warf The COE suspects that contract work being performed on fiber at the site has caused the loss of connectivity at ICH. Dave Demerus will be on-site Monday morning and will contact Scott L. to coordinate. -----Original Message----- From: pittag@psmfc.org [mailto:pittag@psmfc.org] Sent: Friday, August 03, 2007 4:15 PM To: sitemaint@psmfc.org Subject: Problems with remote data sites... Data collection has been verified through Mark Plummer. Will continue to work with the COE until resolved. 08/03/2007 12:28 Don_Warf Dave Demerus of the COE is currently working on the loss of comms to the platform. 08/03/2007 08:29 Don_Warf Investigating loss of network connection. 08/02/2007 08:45 alan@ruf 09:TestTagFailure: No apparent reason for this single alarm. PTAGIS Field Operations will continue to monitor. 08/01/2007 15:28 Alan Manually pushed ICH07213.D1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 08/01/2007 10:16 Troy A site GMC was performed 08/01/2007. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. PC1 is 1 second behind atomic time and PC2 is 9 seconds ahead of atomic time. The utlity machine was fixed so that it will boot after a power outage. It appears that there was a power outage on the south ladder and the Full Flow since the last site visit. 07/23/2007 08:47 troy@ruf 09:TestTagFailure,A4:TestTagFailure: Failures noted, PSMFC will monitor for future occurances. 07/18/2007 08:11 darren@r 09:TestTagFailure: Alarm will be investigated during the next site visit. 07/12/2007 08:28 darren@r A4:LowExcCurrent: Alarm was generated by PSMFC personnel during a site visit. 07/11/2007 12:23 scottl Responded to the excessive noise problem on A3 and 07. Found that the transceiver door on unit A3 was detuning the system. Door was not secured to the transceiver by velcro. Retuned system, closed door latches and tightend with Velcro. System noise levels are at 0,6,6 and appear to be stable. Unit A4 power supply was in oscillation and causing noise in the system. Adjusted power pot and dropped the current by 300 mA to avoid this issue. Problem with unit 07 seems to have corrected itself. Looking at the exciter report, the problem cropped up on 7/10 at 04:23 hrs then went quiet at about 24 hrs after that. Retuned system for good measures without problems. Will monitor for re-occurring problem Noticed unit 08 had elevated noise levels with periodic spiking. Retuned transceiver and noise levels were reduced to acceptable levels. Talked with Sam Liming on the project about what Power City Electric doing and if their activities would have any impact on the project. He indicated that they were installing security cameras and surveillance equipment and indicated that the power for this system is comming from a seperate transformer other than the one feeding the PIT tag system. What is somewhat bothersome is there is alot of equipment being installed just outside the PIT tag room door in the enterance to the gallery. No other problems to report. 07/11/2007 09:05 troy@ruf A3:TestTagFailure: This will be addressed on the next site visit. 07/10/2007 09:11 Scott_Li Noticed that the reader 03's Unique setting was turned OFF on this unit. PCA'd into site turned Unique to ON. The reader is also still having problems with excessive noise and instability. Also noticed that transceiver 07 is in an excessive noise condition that seemed to start at ~ 0300 hrs last night. Will correct on the next site visit. 07/07/2007 08:03 alan@ruf A3:TestTagFailure: Noted 07/06/2007 15:33 Darren A site GMC was performed today (7-6-07). I will clear the TASS and monitor for future alarms. 06/29/2007 12:18 scottl Due to low detection efficiencies, unit A3 was retuned and comparitor pot was re-adjusted. When arrived, the TT hit rate was down to 40 percent. Hit rate now is at 98 to 100 percent. The potential issue with this unit may be the capacitor bank on the antenna. System was difficult to retune indicating that some other factor may be in play. Will monitor over the weekend and if problems persist, will take appropriate measures to ensure a long term solution. 06/27/2007 09:06 troy@ruf A3:TestTagFailure: Noted 06/26/2007 08:38 scottl@r 02:TestTagFailure,A3:TestTagFailure: TT failure on 02 has been corrected, A3 TT will be monitored for excessive failures, A3 detection efficiency is good. 06/25/2007 13:10 Scott A site GMC was performed 06/25/2007. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. A3 was replaced. The TT on 02 was addressed. PC1 was 51 seconds ahead of atomic time and PC2 was 67 seconds ahead of atomic time. Both PC's were adjusted to within 1 second of atomic time. 06/25/2007 08:39 scottl@r 02:TestTagFailure: Will check and correct this problem today. 06/24/2007 09:37 scottl Full Flow system A3 appears to be dead. Will investgate and repair on Monday. 06/23/2007 16:19 Darren It appears that the detecion system on A3 has shifted severly and will need to be retuned or investigated as to why it chnaged. PSMFC will investigate next week during the site GMC. 06/23/2007 06:13 darren@r 02:TestTagFailure: 02:TestTagFailure: After installing the original analog board the timer tag switch may have been inadvertantly been left in the "off" position. In perticular, A3 on the full flow system was retuned and timer tag hit rate was 100 percent after adustments were made. Minimon reports that units 03 and 04 have recently had analog comms failures but seem to running OK. Will monitor for re-occurring errors and take action when and if required. 05/19/2007 09:53 Darren It appears that detection system 0B has reached 100% on the signal but has not shifted in Phase or current. It is not firing timer tags.Due to the low numbers of PITtags in that particular ladder system PSMFC will address this issue on Monday. 05/16/2007 08:08 troy@ree 07:LowExcCurrent: Noted 05/15/2007 15:01 Alan A GMC was performed 5/15/2007.
