Complete functionality of the system in it's entirety has been restored. Key items that were done include, Replacement of the old free standing single electronics enclosure was replaced with the standard 30x30x8 SS nema 4 enclosures, a 20x20x8 SS nema 4 enclosure was included to enclose the UPS's and all associated conduit was replaced with rigid , new fiber optic cable was pulled in and terminated for redundancy purposes, exciter cables were trimmed up and coils rewrapped as nessesary. 06/08/2001 08:43 Darren_C The platform and Transceivers were terminated yesterday. The site has been cleaned by the Yakama's and will be shut down for the season. I sent in the last files before the platform was shut down. 06/01/2001 08:44 Darren_C A Site check was performed. As of 12 noon on 5-30-01 all raceways at all sites were flushed of fish. I checked the creeks that lead to the exit monitors and since the water in the raceways has been drawn down the water in the creeks has also gone down. I did not see any fish in the creek. This would leave me to believe that all the fish that were flushed out of the raceways have left to the river. I met with Charlie Strom from the Cle Elum hatchery and he told me that they will performing their site clean up next week and should be completed no later than the 6-11-01. We will leave the platforms and transceivers on until they have completed their site clean up. 05/30/2001 09:38 cfj_esj Date: Wed, 30 May 2001 09:20:42 -0500 From: "Darren Chase" To: scott livingston CC: Don Warf , Dave Marvin , Carter Stein Subject: Acclamation Ponds I just spoke with Charlie from the YIN at Cle Elum. They are going to crowd all the fish from the raceways at about 12:00 today. They will allow them to leave the creek on there own, there will be water in the creeks after June 1st. Next week they will begin there clean-up of all sites starting with Easton then Clark Flat and Jack Creek. We will coordinate with Charlie on Monday for the shut down of Jack Creek because they will be shutting down the generator when they are done. We will be bringing all of the computers back to Kennewick until next season. If any information is needed from them please let us know. Stick test: Coil B-1 detected 20 of 20 sticks Coil B-2 detected 20 of 20 sticks Coil A-1 detected 20 of 20 sticks Coil A-2 detected 20 of 20 sticks Screen were pulled from the Acc. ponds ~11:00 am , 3/15 Satelite installation was not complete do to installer did not show up.. Re-scheduled install for 3/22. 03/09/2001 14:38 Scott_Li I have scheduled the Starband internet service to be installed March 15th. with Netwerkz Inc out of Lakewood. Will meet the tech in Cle-Elum at 10:00 am. Called Dan Barrett at the Cle-Elum hatchery to confirm the installation and approval to do so. We have full access to do what ever is needed at the hatchery's. There was an issue with the StarBand equipment with regards to "Socket not Connected" when Minimon initiated it's upload process. Some reconfiguring and consultation with Starband tech support should resolve this issue. The problem was to much latency "Ping Time" from our system to Starband ground control and then to Gladstone. I upgraded the firmware version in the Gilad Satmodem from 2.00 to 2.00.1. and also reloaded the Mission control software. Will be conducting a test upload every hour over the weekend to determine its consistancey and reliablity. Starband also suggested that running the FTP connections in passive mode may not be advised allthough I could not get a technical reason for why they suggested that. More soon. 02/14/2001 08:40 Darren_C Scott and I opened up the A monitor and removed removed as much water as we could. We found 2 leaks and sealed them as well as we could. The monitor will need to resealed after this season when the pipe is dry. 01/05/2001 18:00 Dave Manually created new event log for 2001. ####End of Event Log for JCJ###
