    Just spoke to Randy at John Day Dam and he told me smolt monitoring
    people shut-down Sept. 8th 1997.

    Mlink balled up and failed on upload Sunday morning, 5/25/97. The poll.sites
    process ran away. In order to kill it I had to mv /usr/local/bin/mlink
    to another name. Shut off poll.sites from Sunday until Tuesday when I
    reset the modem and move mlink back to it's original name.
