Thought you'd need to know. 07/15/2002 11:47 Dave Having confirmed with Bob Mueller that his lamprey SxC study was complete, I updated the JDJ map file to JDJ02196.MAP and removed the lamprey diversion action. All SxC activity at JDA is now programmatically disabled, except for stick tags. 07/11/2002 13:32 Dave At 1:00 (PDT) today, per Dean Brege's request, I disabled all SbyC diversion commands for his BREGE1 (AC-72) groups at both the 3-way and 2-way SbyC gates. 07/08/2002 17:47 Dave I reverted to map JDJ02168.MAP at 5:40 pm (PDT). This restores diversion for Dean Brege's OPE fish (AC-72), per Randy Absolon's request. 07/03/2002 15:20 Dave At Randy Absolon's request, I updated the database to JDJ02184.DB, deactivating the diversion of Dean Brege's OPE fish (AC-72) at the main SxC (3-way) gate. This is a temporary deactivation. I did NOT modify the diversion of Dean's fish at the secondary SbyC gate; if by some slight chance, a PNL lamprey is diverted at the 3-way gate, and one of Dean's fish is coincidentally entrained and diverted, Dean's fish should activate the secondary diversion gate and end up in the West SbyC tank. However, I don't expect any of this to occur. 06/23/2002 15:40 Don_Warf From: "Hurd, Terry W NWP" Date: Fri, 21 Jun 2002 17:59:15 -0700 We had two power surges this afternoon. One at 17:27:59.5 and one at 17:42:44.9. 06/17/2002 14:55 Dave I updated the map and db files to JDJ02168.MAP and JDJ02168.DB, respectively. I added 749 LMPREY (AC 91) tag codes for Bob Mueller of PNL, and configured (but did not enable) the map file to divert these tags to the East (default) SbyC sample tank. I also re-enabled Dean Brege's SbyC list (BREGE1, AC 72); Dean's fish will again be routed to the West SbyC sample tank. 06/10/2002 10:10 scottl@p F2:InputSyncDetect,F2:ReaderReset: F2:InputSyncDetect,F2:ReaderReset: Ongoing problem, no appearent reason for the reader to reset. 06/10/2002 10:10 scottl@p F2:InputSyncDetect,F2:ReaderReset: Ongoing problem, no appearent reason for the reader to reset. 06/07/2002 12:01 Dave At my request, Greg Kovalchuk reactivated the 'SBC Divert' switch at ~noon. From this point on, the SBC Divert control will be switch OFF only in response to an emergency. All diversion activities will normally be controlled through the Multimon SxC software. 06/07/2002 11:51 Dave I updated the map file to JDJ02158.MAP, disabling diversion of BREGE1 (AC-72) tags at the separator (3-way) gate. I also checked the clocks on the PCs; the two clocks are within 22 seconds of each other and 1:37 of "real" time. Both clocks will need to be closely synchronized to "real" time prior to the initiation of Battelle's SxC lamprey study. 06/04/2002 14:42 Don_Warf From: "Hurd, Terry W NWP" Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2002 14:22:50 -0700 power surge 14:23:26.9 06/04/2002 12:20 Don_Warf From: "Hurd, Terry W NWP" Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2002 12:19:26 -0700 Power surge at 11:53:27.5 06/03/2002 08:42 darren@p 53:InputSyncDetect,53:ReaderReset: Alarm was generated by a random reader reset. This is an ongoing problem. 05/30/2002 15:39 brettt@b Site visit on 5/30/02. I ran a stick test on the separator diverter and it got 20/20. I also checked transceiver C1 because it's efficiency had dropped to 86%. It appeared to be in tune and the noise was about 3 to 6%. I ran sticks through it and it got 20/20. It also read 100% on the transceiver diagnostic stick test. It seems to work fine to me. Also, I changed the report delay to 6 hours on all of the transceivers. 05/25/2002 08:46 Darren_C A general maintenance check was performed yesterday 5-24-02. Some sticks were passed through the separator for timing. There is quite a few fish passing through the facility. No problems were found. 05/24/2002 14:11 Don_Warf Date: Fri, 24 May 2002 12:29:55 -0700 Power surge on 5/24/02 at 12:17pm. Erin Wright 05/14/2002 08:41 Darren_C Files were sent via PTTP on Tuesday Morning 5-14-02. Sites is functioning as scheduled. 05/10/2002 13:14 Don_Warf Date: Fri, 10 May 2002 13:05:47 -0700 FYI, there was a power surge at the John Day Project, Smolt Monitoring Facility, at approximately 1255 hrs. on Friday, May 10th, 2002. Paul Keller 05/10/2002 08:03 Don_Warf Date: Fri, 10 May 2002 06:57:48 -0700 Power surge on 5/10/02 at 6:59am. Erin Wright 05/06/2002 12:08 Dave Updated database and map files to JDJ02123.DB and JDJ02123.MAP, respectively, to accommodate Dean Brege's OPE study. Added reference to 6600 tags with AC-72 (BREGE1) to all DU's. Both the primary and secondary SbyC gates are configured with to divert 100% of these tags, effective immediately. I expect the OPE study to start tomorrow, May 7. 05/03/2002 10:09 Darren_C Files are set to 4 per day on PC1 and PC2. 04/19/2002 17:00 Dave I deliberately, but erroneously, deleted previous postings regarding power surges at the project. Here's a summary of those events: 04:30 on 3/25/02 14:32 and 16:49 on 3/28/02 06:25:37 on 4/5/02 14:51 on 4/5/02 04:27:25.9 on 4/12/02 ~07:15 and 11:59 on 4/16/02 12:41 and 14:25 on 4/17/02 15:17 and 15:18 on 4/19/02 04/16/2002 12:50 Don_Warf Greg K. called to report a power surge / brownout at 11:59. He also volunteered to help troubleshoot PC2. After verifying that data was being collected and no error messaging were present I had him re-boot PC2. I then was able to make a successful PCA connection. 04/07/2002 18:56 Dave I pcA'd into JDJ-PC1, and manually stopped and restarted data collection in Multimon, in order to resync file open/close times to 3/6/9/12 o'clock. JDJ-PC2 remains incommunicado. 03/21/2002 09:27 darren@p 51:TestTagFailure,52:TestTagFailure,54:TestTagFailure,82:TestTagFailure,93 :TestTagFailure,94:TestTagFailure,A2:TestTagFailure,A4:TestTagFailure,C1:T estTagFailure,C2:TestTagFailure,C3:TestTagFailure,E1:TestTagFailure,E2:Tes tTagFailure,F1:TestTagFailure: These alarms were generated while perofrming Pre-season tuning. All the timer tags are firing with no failures. The site was set up for collection on Monday 3-18-02 around 15:30. 03/19/2002 10:31 Dave The John Day Juvenile Fish Facility was fully watered-up and functional at 3:10pm on March 18, 2002. 03/19/2002 08:13 Darren_C The facility received water on March 18th at 15:30. The transceivers were tuned and the gates were timed after the flow was achieved. Sticks were run on all monitors except for the River Exit monitor, this monitor is very difficult to retrieve sticks from and if they are missed they go directly to the river, the results for each monitor and the file that contains this information are as follows: Separator/SbyC Gate/West Tank (file jdj02077.207 and .208) A1 - 48/48 C1 - 47/47 F1 - 47/47 51 - 1/1* A2 - 48/48 C2 - 47/47 F2 - 47/47 52 - 1/1* A3 - 48/48 C3 - 47/47 53 - 1/1* A4 - 48/48 C4 - 47/47 54 - 1/1* * (1) stick went to the sample tank because the rotational gate was in Sample but the Divert During sample switch was not turned on. The PC was incorrectly set to boot from A then C. 03/04/2002 08:39 Scott_Li Called Portland netework ops center and they concurred that they are having internet problems and have no idea at this point when the connection will be restored. hence the reason why JDJ has not been uploading. 03/04/2002 08:24 Scott_Li Noticed that the site had not loaded since day 060. Tried to PCA into PC1 and could not make a network connection. Will try and correct the situation. 02/26/2002 16:17 Dave I modified the etc/sites file and removed the third parameter ([site]sun). This was apparently defeating the file-check process. Warnings will now be posted if the site has not been heard from in more than six(?) hours. 01/31/2002 08:44 Dave Scott powered-up the data collection platform on Jan 29. I enabled file checking today (Jan 31). The facility won't water-up until sometime on or after April 1. Data files collected prior to that time will contain timer tags and diagnostic messages, but no fish detections. 01/30/2002 13:26 Dave Logged in and shut down Multimon temporarily on PC1 in order to provide Dr. Downing with some system configuration and utilization parameters. Everything's back to normal now. No problems with data loss, as the facility won't water up for a couple of months yet. ####End of Event Log for JDJ###
