The transceivers on the full flow (01,03,and 04) were checked due to the increase in noise and the decrease in efficiencies over the past few days. PSMFC believed there might an outside source for the noise. When i arrived i spoke with site personnel about any new additions at the facility, they did not know of any new additions but explained about a counter at the separator that had been tripping a breaker in panel DP2A. The noise levels on these transceivers was around 30-40% on average when I arrived, but I was able to tune out all the noise with each transceivers which did not coincide with an outside source. I tuned and checked each transceivers actual measured current and adjusted the calibration to reflect the current. I also turned on the Hoffman heaters inside each enclosure to try and mitigate any change due to temp. I also turned on the noise reports for each one to report every 10 Min. We will monitor these systems to see if these changes help mitigate the change in tuning. The JFF systems were also checked for tuning and noise. No test sticks were passed due to the number of fish passing through the system during this visit. The PC clocks are within 20 seconds of each other and atomic time. I adjusted the tuning and the PS and found that there might have been some oscillation from the power supply causing some noise. I adjusted the current down 200mA and the signal levels are 2-5%. I checked the tune with the timer tag and repositioned the timer tag to fire at 100%. There is some occasional spiking that is rolling through all the transceivers but this is not uncommon. Trend programming was conducted since time allowed. I believe we have provided the best trending the system will allow. Site personnel will monitor and provide feedback at a later date. No other problems to report. 04/18/2011 11:31 Troy A site GMC was performed 04/18/2011. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. 15 sticks were thrown on the SbyC tanks and all were diverted properly. All coils read 15 of 15 except for A4 which read 14 of 15. Several attempts were made to improve the trending on the HMI. This still needs work and will be addressed when time allows. The mechanic has not arrived to look at the leak at the entrance to the enclosure for the 3- way. This leak does not appear to impact the performance of the gate and the drain that was installed earlier in the day is adequately drain the water that is leaking into the enclosure. PSMFC will continue to monitor this situation and provide assistance where needed. 04/18/2011 09:53 Troy At the site 04/18/2011 to investigate the problem with the 3 way gate. Site personnel report finding the 3-way cover partially off of the gate which is what they suspect caused the fish to be outside the pipes but in the housing. The fish were rescued (returned to the pipe) and a mechanic installed a drain hose from the 3-way housing. Another mechanic will be on site later to investigate why so much water is leaking at the entrance to the gate housing. PSMFC adjusted the counters and cleared the gate trouble light. 18 samples were missed or three hours worth of sampling due to the air being off from 0555 to 0855. The facility may go into primary bypass in order to fix the gate. Site personnel are awaiting the verdict from the COE mechanic.
