Ethan Crawford Senior Fisheries Technician Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game 3316 16th St. Lewiston, ID 83501 (208)799-5010 11/24/2008 15:26 Ethan For some reason we have no detections from 11/19 @ 23:05 until 11/24. Yet, the diagnostics show that everything is running just fine. I tested was able to read the test tag. Perplexing. Hope to see everything as normal in the next week. Flows are now down, and the screw trap on Big Bear Creek is no longer running as of 11/19. Ethan Crawford Senior Fisheries Technician Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game 3316 16th St. Lewiston, ID 83501 (208)799-5010 11/13/2008 14:46 Ethan Site operations normal. I fish detected. Screw trap now running, can expect more fish in the future. Water is significantly higher. As of 14:45, flows on Potlatch is 700 cfs!! Ethan Crawford Senior Fisheries Technician Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game 3316 16th St. Lewiston, ID 83501 (208)799-5010 11/05/2008 12:14 Ethan Operations normal. Water level is up some, but still not very high. We did receive our first detection of the fall on 11/4. There is still rain in the forecast for the next seven days. Cables are now anchored to rocks on the bank. Ethan Crawford Senior Fisheries Technician Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game 3316 16th St. Lewiston, ID 83501 (208)799-5010 10/30/2008 13:23 Ethan Site downloaded this morning. Water at site still very low. Rain is in the forecast for early next week, may receive enough to bring flows up and get fish moving and Bear Creek Screw Trap fishing. Antenna 1 still displaying 16% noise, despite efforts to bring the noise levels down. Ethan Crawford Senior Fisheries Technician Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game 3316 16th St. Lewiston, ID 83501 (208)799-5010 10/24/2008 13:51 Ethan Replaced antenna A1 with a new 20' antenna. The configuration has not been changed. The old antenna was picking up an inordinate amount of noise. Hopefully noise levels will now be lower. Also drove another ground rod and wire in the stream, in attempts to reduce noise. We will see how this goes, plan on checking next Monday. Other than that, ops normal, still very little water at the site. Do not expect any detections. Ethan Crawford Senior Fisheries Technician Idaho Dept. of Fish and Game 3316 16th St. Lewiston, ID 83501 (208)799-5010 10/22/2008 11:47 Dave I modified the KHS site configuration definition. The new definition, effective October 9, places antenna A4 in the downstream array. A4 was previously associated with the upstream array. 10/21/2008 09:00 Ethan 10/21/08 0900 Ethan Site reconfigured on Oct. 9 effective 16:00. New array configuration is as follows (from upstream looking down, left to right) Upstream pass over A1,A2,A3, and downstream pass over A4,A5,A6. Where 1 and 4 are 20' antennas and all others are 10' antennas.
