EVENT LOG FOR SITE KRS The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 10/11/2010 12:27 Rick On 9/28/10, the transceiver enclosure was moved to higher ground. The move required a 20'addition to the exciter cable for antenna 1. The transceiver software was also updated to ver. 2.1. Most of the array is still covered by sand, however the current is slowly removing sand from antennas 1 and 2. Antenna 5 is mostly clear of sand and is were the vast majority of stream flow is. Read ranges will be preformed in the near future. 07/27/2010 14:17 Rick KRS withstood another record flow event in the South Fork Salmon River. Considerable bed load movement occurred resulting in large sand deposits on antennas 1-3. There have been no detections on ant. 1 and 2 and only a few on antenna 3. At current flows, water depths over ant. 1 and 2 are less then 6 inches. However, the current lower flows are removing the sand off of ant.3. The vast majority of the stream flow is over ant. 4 and 5, likely where most, if not all fish are migrating. In addition, an electronic component on the Thermal Electric Generator failed causing a power failure. KRS was inoperable from 7-16-10 at 16:30 through 7-19-10 at 11:45. 03/02/2010 09:44 Rick Site maintenance was preformed at KRS on February 17. New CR1000 data logger software was installed and a pressure transducer installed to monitor water level. The site was inoperable for a period of 30 minutes during maintenance. 01/08/2010 13:52 Rick The KRS site continues to operate normally. Rick Orme Nez Perce Tribe Dept. Fisheries Resources 125 S.
