File uploads were suspended last night at 2100h due to problems with the PSMFC firewall. 11/13/2003 15:59 Darren_C I noticed today that transceiver A3 was not firing it's timer tag. I PCA'd into the site and tried sending commands but got no response. I visited the site and found the AIM ACtoDC converter was not working properly. I replaced the transceiver and flashed the newly installed transceiver. We are watching to see if the "A" separator problems have gone away, this failure could be just a random failure. After checking past failure reports I found that we have not lost any AIM or RAM power supplies on the "A" separator. 11/13/2003 08:47 Darren_C It appears that transceiver A3 has passed away, it could be that the fuse holder has pulled away from the fuse as we have seen in the past. I checked and there was no warning alarms before he passed which indicates either a fuse or possibly a power supply. We will check into this as soon as we can, we want to get to the bottom of the "A" separator problems before this year begins. 11/13/2003 08:37 darren@r A4:InputSyncLost: Alarm will be investigated from PTOC office. This is what we have been trying to duplicate in the lab with the other transceivers which were pulled from this site. 11/03/2003 13:41 Darren On Wednesday 10-29-03, Scott L. and I replaced all four transceivers as well as the exciter cables and brought the old transceivers back the lab to be tested to find out what is causing the problems with the syncronization of transceivers A2 and A3 that have been appearing over the last couple of seasons. We performed "ring" tests on all coils, first through the exciter cables and then right at the coil. We found only one difference in the "ring" count on coil A3 in that ring count was lower through the exciter cable but at the coil it was similar to all the other coils. We are watching the site for any failures on the separator. We are also testing the old set of transceivers in the lab to try and duplicate the failures. 10/31/2003 08:03 troy@ree 01:ReaderReset,02:InputSyncDetect,02:ReaderReset,11:ReaderReset,12:InputSy ncDetect,12:InputSyncLost,12:ReaderReset,13:InputSyncDetect,13:ReaderReset ,21:ReaderReset,22:InputSyncDetect,22:ReaderReset,23:InputSyncDetect,23:Re aderReset,31:ReaderReset,32:InputSyncDetect,32:ReaderReset,33:InputSyncDet ect,33:ReaderReset,41:ReaderReset,42:InputSyncDetect,42:ReaderReset,43:Inp utSyncDetect,43:ReaderReset,51:ReaderReset,52:InputSyncDetect,52:ReaderRes et,81:ReaderReset,82:InputSyncDetect,82:ReaderReset,91:ReaderReset,92:Inpu tSyncDetect,92:ReaderReset,93:InputSyncDetect,93:ReaderReset,A1:ReaderRese t,A1:TestTagFailure,A2:BadExcFreq,A2:BadOscFreq,A2:InputSyncDetect,A2:Inpu tSyncLost,A2:LowExcCurrent,A2:Overrun,A2:ReaderReset,A2:RocketPortNoEOT,A2 :TestTagFailure,A3:InputSyncDetect,A3:InputSyncLost,A3:ReaderReset,A3:Test TagFailure,A4:InputSyncDetect,A4:InputSyncLost,A4:ReaderReset,B1:ReaderRes et,B2:InputSyncDetect,B2:ReaderReset,B2:TestTagFailure,B3:InputSyncDetect, B3:ReaderReset,B4:InputSync! Wires were pulled from the Pit Tag room to the PLC enclosure and the RS-232 line drivers were connected to UPS power. The .HW1 and .HW2 files were modified. The files on the ftp server were renamed LMJ-GEN03303.HW1 and .HW2. The new files were then loaded on the server. The Pit Tag room power panel's main circuit breaker was then thrown with permission from the site biologist to simulate a power outage. AC POWER OFF was written to the raw file. When power was restored AC POWER ON was written to the raw file. When the testing was done all transceivers were checked to ensure they came back up ok. No problems were found. 10/29/2003 08:14 darren@r A3:InputSyncLost: PTOC personnel will be addressing this situation possibly today or tomorrow. I found that the fiber was swapped on transceiver A3, I verified communications and fired the timer tag out at the transceiver and from the pittag room. A1 would not read either the timer tag or a stick tag. Iverified that the timer tag asscoiated with this transceiver was good, I also checked the timer tag cable and verified it was also good. I found that the analog board to be bad, I have the bad one in the office to test and send back to Destron for repairs, I swapped the analog board with the extra transceiver in the locker. I believe that I may have left the timer tag cable unhooked after the transceivers on the "A" separator were replaced. 10/20/2003 08:19 Darren_C I PCA'd into PC1 on Sunday and found that the timer tag on A1 would not fire, it is possible that I did not hook up the timer tag cable while replacing the transceivers. I believe that the fiber may be swapped on transceiver A3 and that is why I can't talk with nor is the timer tag firing. 10/19/2003 08:38 darren@r A1:TestTagFailure: The timer tag for A1 and A3 has not fired. I may have swapped the fiber when I was replacing the transceivers. I will PCA into the site and investigate the failure. This site is currently inactive. 10/18/2003 08:48 D._Chase On Thursday I completed my work on finding what was going on with the "A" separator transceivers. In the past we have had some issues with the middle two transceivers failing and losing sync. I found no failures with the attaching hardware i.e. cables, and or coils. I did find that the first transceiver (A1) did seem to have trouble driving more than three transceivers. A2 had a bad sync out and A3 appeared to have a bad sync in. It also appeared that A3 did not have the modification done on the processor board that is necessary to solve the sync problems that were discovered when the transceivers were first installed. I also replaced the second rocketport card in PC1 to solve the "No EOT" failures that were appearing on PC1 only. I will be watching the middle two transceivers performance for failures in synchronization. 10/18/2003 08:31 darren@r 21:ReaderReset,22:InputSyncDetect,22:InputSyncLost,41:RocketPortNoEOT,43:I nputSyncDetect,43:InputSyncLost,A1:ReaderReset,A1:TestTagFailure,A2:InputS yncDetect,A2:ReaderReset,A2:TestTagFailure,A3:BadOscFreq,A3:InputSyncLost, A3:LowExcCurrent,A3:ReaderReset,A4:BadOscFreq,A4:InputSyncDetect,A4:InputS yncLost,A4:LowExcCurrent,A4:ReaderReset,A4:TestTagFailure,B1:ReaderReset,B 1:TestTagFailure,B2:InputSyncDetect,B2:ReaderReset,B3:InputSyncDetect,B3:R eaderReset,B3:TestTagFailure,B4:InputSyncDetect,B4:ReaderReset,B4:TestTagF ailure: All alarms with the exception of the ones on coils 21,22,41,43 were generated by PTOC personnel while during after season repairs. I manually archived these files on LMJ-PC1, and manually invoked PTTP on LMJ-PC2 to upload LMJ03219.204, covering the entire interval from 0900-1200. We may be missing up to two minutes data from around 0900. The clocks on the two PCs were about 4:30 different from each other, and some 2:00 different from atomic time (one was fast and the other was slow). The clocks are now within one second both of each other and atomic time. 08/07/2003 11:54 Alan While trying to determine how well LMJ recovered from the power outage of 8/6/2003 it was discovered that we could not PCA into PC1. I called Monty Price (SMP) and talked him through downing Multimon and re-booting PC1. This was sucessful. It appears that PC1 was still collecting data even though PCA was inoperable. The power feed to the fish facility had to be switched to restore power. The power to the fish facility was shut off from 1240 to 1248 to switch the power feed to the primary dewaterer to restore power to the primary dewaterer. The primary dewaterer was without power from 1155 to 1248." (All times are PDT.) The computers appear to have remained activated the UPS, but the transceivers all took a power hit. One consequence of this outage is that all of the LMJ timer tags are now firing simultaneously. 08/03/2003 13:09 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/08/03 11:46:06 08/03/2003 13:09 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/08/03 11:46:06 08/03/2003 13:09 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/08/03 11:46:06 08/03/2003 13:09 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/08/03 11:31:37 08/03/2003 13:09 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/08/03 11:46:06 08/03/2003 13:09 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/08/03 11:31:37 08/03/2003 13:09 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/08/03 11:31:37 08/03/2003 13:09 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/08/03 11:31:37 07/30/2003 14:01 troy Performed site GMC. Due to this reconfig, the primary computers had to be rebooted in order for the setting to take effect and therefore creating a gap in the data set. All efforts were made to minimize this gap and efforts will be made today to restore the missing records . 06/16/2003 13:37 Alan Performed a site GMC. All trancievers were checked for tune and 20 sticks were thrown on the A and B seperator gates and the A and B raceway monitors. All sticks were diverted correctly and no problems found. 06/12/2003 11:19 Don_Warf Bill S. called to say that on 6/10/03 a debris problem required them to shut down the B slide gate between 20:00 and 22:30. 06/11/2003 13:20 Dave Updated database to LMJ03162.DB. Retrieved new ignor.tag file (modified by Alan on 6/9); identified and deleted an extraneous timer tag code (3D9.0EEEEEE29C, last used on 5/20/02). Reloaded this trimmed ignor.tag file (containing 29 codes) to LMJ-PC1 and PC2. Also used this modified list to update the Timer Tag list in the ptagis3.test_tags table. Clocks on PCs are within three seconds of each other and 39 seconds of atomic time. 06/10/2003 08:24 darren@r 12:TestTagFailure: This timer tag was replaced yesterday. The site was visited for a GMC. 06/09/2003 15:30 Alan A GMC was performed 6/9/2003. Transcievers were tuned. The Separators and Raceways were sucessfully stick tested with 20 sticks each side, 100% of sticks were diverted correctly. No problems found with the exception of the following: Replaced Timer Tag on coil 12. Removed the old tag (3D9.0EEEEEE720) and added the new tag (3D9.0EEEEEE68A) to ignor.tag on both PC1 and PC2. Exited and restarted Multimon on PC2 (to load the new ignor.tag file) interogating to file LMJ03160.208. Exited and restarted Multimon on PC1 (to load the new ignor.tag file), interogating to file LMJ03160.107, then opened new file interogating to LMJ03160.108. 06/09/2003 10:45 Dave Updated database to LMJ03160.DB. In addition to the "normal" CSS update, this database version includes 10k additional LYFE-0 (AC-37) tags. Clocks on LMJ_PC1 and PC2 are within three seconds of each other and 27 seconds of atomic time. 06/09/2003 08:06 darren@r 12:TestTagFailure,A4:TestTagFailure: The timer tag on coil 12 will need to be replaced, but the failure on coil A4 was not repeated. The timer tag did not fire but did fire every time after the failure. 06/08/2003 09:50 darren@r 12:TestTagFailure: The timer tag on this coil has failed. It will checked on the next site visit. 06/07/2003 07:09 darren@r 12:TestTagFailure,SLC500:CommsFailure: The testtag failure may be caused by a faulty timer tag. The transceiver appears to be working fine with good efficiencies. SLC comms failure could be due to high traffic. 06/06/2003 09:53 Dave Updated databases to GOJ03157.DB and LMJ03157.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 06/05/2003 09:36 Dave Updated databases to GOJ03156.DB and LMJ03156.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 06/04/2003 16:16 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/06/04 14:08:50 06/04/2003 16:16 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/06/04 14:08:49 06/04/2003 16:16 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/06/04 14:01:38 06/04/2003 16:16 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/06/04 14:01:37 06/03/2003 09:29 Dave I updated the database to LMJ03154.DB. The PC clocks are within one second of each other and 10 seconds of atomic time. 06/02/2003 16:27 Alan A GMC was performed 6/2/2003. Transcievers were tuned. The A and B Separators and the A Raceway stick tested good. Coil 23 on the B Raceway missed three out of 20 sticks. I shifted the coil down about 2" on the pipe and retuned the tranciever. I then threw 20 more sticks and got all 20. PTOC will continue to monitor. 06/01/2003 10:50 Dave Updated databases to GOJ03152.DB and LMJ03152.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. SLC500 Comm errors at LMJ around 9:41 are a result of PC1 and PC2 temporarily competing for gate control. 05/31/2003 11:45 Dave I updated the database to LMJ03151.DB. I also adjusted the clocks on both PCs to within 2 seconds of atomic time. 05/30/2003 17:08 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/05/30 14:18:20 05/30/2003 14:06 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/05/30 11:11:33 05/29/2003 17:44 Dave Finally got a chance to update the databases to GOJ03149.DB and LMJ03149.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. Snuck into Scott's office and used his PC as well as my notebook to monitor both remote PC's. Scott's pcA didn't respond like I expected, so I used it only to monitor active on the remote-PC2 while I swapped out the database on the remote-PC1. Then, I locked myself out of LMJ-PC2. Called Monty Price and walked him through updating the LMJ-PC2 database, and then had him monitor system activity while I updated the LMJ-PC1 database. Fortunately (or anal-retentively), I had already configured everything for the switch on LMJ-PC1, and was able to load in the new database within 35 seconds or so. According to Monty, there was no activity on PC2 during that interval. When all the dust settled, I successfully updated the databases at both sites with no loss of data at either site. 05/27/2003 10:35 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/05/27 06:11:50 05/27/2003 10:35 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/05/27 06:04:32 05/26/2003 07:57 Dave Updated databases to GOJ03146.DB and LMJ03146.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 05/25/2003 12:56 Dave Updated databases to GOJ03145.DB and LMJ03145.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 05/24/2003 10:16 Dave Updated databases to GOJ03144.DB and LMJ03144.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 05/23/2003 15:29 Dave I updated the LMJ database and map files to LMJ03143.DB and LMJ03143.MAP, respectively. In addition to the standard CSS updates, the database contains an additional 59k tags for AC-37 (LYFE-0, Lyons Ferry subyearling chinook). The map file contains instructions to divert 4/5 (80%) of these tags to transportation vessels. The PC clocks are within nine seconds of each other and 97 seconds of atomic time. 05/22/2003 17:13 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/05/22 14:03:28 05/22/2003 17:13 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/05/22 13:57:50 05/22/2003 16:48 Dave Updated databases to GOJ03142.DB and LMJ03142.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. Looked for, but did not observe, any "Missing EOT" messages on GOJ-PC2. 05/21/2003 17:13 Dave Updated database to LMJ03141.DB. First, due to a clock issue, no PIT tags were diverted between 12:58:25 and 14:26:48. All of these non-diversion events occurred in data file LMJ03139.105. I have not counted how many tags were erroneously transported during this 28 minute window. Second, the map file was erroneously modified at 14:31, in LMJ03139.107. This defeated the default diversion of non-SbyC tags until the corrected map file was restored at 15:34, in LMJ03139.111. I have not counted how many non-SbyC tags were erroneously transported during this 63 minute window. 05/19/2003 16:57 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/05/19 14:06:03 05/19/2003 16:57 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/05/19 14:02:20 05/19/2003 16:57 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/05/19 14:06:02 05/19/2003 16:57 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/05/19 14:02:19 05/19/2003 16:11 Dave I updated the databases to GOJ03139.DB and LMJ03139.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 05/18/2003 17:19 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/05/18 14:00:08 05/18/2003 17:19 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/05/18 14:00:07 05/18/2003 17:19 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/05/18 13:52:06 05/18/2003 17:19 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/05/18 13:52:05 05/18/2003 11:24 Dave Updated databases to GOJ03138.DB and LMJ03138.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 05/18/2003 09:07 darren@r 02:InputSyncDetect,02:ReaderReset,32:TestTagFailure,52:InputSyncDetect,52: ReaderReset: Alarms on coils 02 and 52 were caused by a random reader reset. These values are within the standards, established in 2001, of <30 seconds intra-site clock variance and <300 seconds variance with atomic time. 04/28/2003 09:02 Dave Updated database to GOJ03118.DB and LMJ03118.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 04/27/2003 11:21 Dave Updated database to GOJ03117.DB and LMJ03117.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 04/26/2003 13:09 Dave Updated database to GOJ03116.DB and LMJ03116.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 04/25/2003 09:24 Dave Updated database to LMJ03115.DB. The clock on LMJ-PC1 was 2:07 faster than PC2, considerably out of our spec of 30 seconds between machines; both machines were within 5:00 of "world" time. I re-synched both PCs to within 1 second of world time. 04/25/2003 08:20 scott Noticed that pc1 had not sent files since yesterday. Could not PCA into pc1 but was able to connect to pc2, noticed that pc2 was not diverting. Called SMP office and had Sharron check status of pc1. Sharron rebooted PC1 then noticed that the computer cart had been shited to one side and the lan cables for pc1 were stretched tight. repositioned the pc cart reseated lan cable and I was then able to connect to PC1 and manually initiate file submission. Will follow up to ensure files reach PTAGIS. 04/24/2003 18:40 Dave Updated database to LMJ03112.DB at ~4:30 pm on 4/12. Attempted to updated database at 5:30 pm on 4/14, but could not maintain a pcA connection. 04/24/2003 08:35 PTOC_Bot I performed a GMC on this site 4/23/2003. Transceivers were checked for tune and any major concerns that have been noted since the last visit. I threw test tag sticks on the A and B separators. No problems were found. 04/23/2003 15:00 Scott_Li Revised the PLC message page in GEN.HW1-2 file on PC1 and 2 to include the proper nomenclature that references the state of the primary bypass swing gate. PLC message is PRIMARY BYPASS ON, PRIMARY BYPASS OFF. PTOC was alerted to this problem by the UFO data report .Copied revised generic HW files to the FTP server for archiving. 04/23/2003 09:03 scottl@r 11:RocketPortNoEOT,12:RocketPortNoEOT: The EOT errors are being monitored. The action plan will be to reseat the RP cards in order to try and correct this problem. We have seen more EOT errors this season than in the past. Reseating the RP cards corrected some peculiars errors seen on PC1 and PC2 at GOJ during the preseason start-up. 04/21/2003 11:19 Dave Updated database to GOJ03111.DB and LMJ03111.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 04/20/2003 11:58 Dave Updated database to LMJ03110.DB. 04/19/2003 19:30 Dave I updated the database to GOJ03108.DB and LMJ03108.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. These databases contain information current through 3:00 am yesterday, 4/18. I updated the sites at ~6:00 pm today. The connections to GOJ were slow and tenuous, and I dropped the line repeatedly. LMJ went off with only one hitch. 04/17/2003 12:00 darren@r 52:InputSyncDetect,52:ReaderReset: Reader reset. Ongoing problem. 04/17/2003 10:48 Dave Updated database to LMJ03107.DB. 04/16/2003 10:04 Dave Updated database to LMJ03106.DB. 04/15/2003 15:05 Troy Threw sticks and ran report. All gates are working well. 04/15/2003 10:22 Dave Updated database to GOJ03105.DB and LMJ03105.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 04/14/2003 12:24 Dave Have been unable to pcA into LMJ-PC2 since Saturday AM. Contacted Sharon Lind and had her reboot PC2. This allowed me to establish pcA contact with LMJ-PC2. Then pcA'd into both machines, and updated the database to LMJ03104.DB. Noticed that FTP communications were very slow and tenuous on PC2; took four attempts to FTP to PTAGIS server, and then downloaded DB at ~15kB/sec. PC1 FTP communications were very fast; I connected to the PTAGIS server immediately on the first attempt, and downloaded the DB at ~45kB/sec. 04/12/2003 23:48 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/12 14:05:15 04/12/2003 23:48 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/12 14:05:14 04/12/2003 23:48 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/12 13:58:31 04/12/2003 23:48 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/12 13:58:31 04/12/2003 22:57 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/10 14:00:19 04/12/2003 22:57 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/10 14:05:20 04/12/2003 22:57 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/10 14:05:19 04/12/2003 22:57 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/10 14:00:18 04/12/2003 21:45 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/06 14:09:36 04/12/2003 21:45 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/06 14:03:34 04/12/2003 21:45 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/06 14:03:32 04/12/2003 21:45 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/06 13:59:02 04/12/2003 21:30 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/05 07:06:54 04/12/2003 21:30 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/05 07:06:54 04/12/2003 21:30 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/05 07:00:16 04/12/2003 21:30 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/05 07:00:16 04/12/2003 20:33 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/01 06:23:26 04/12/2003 20:33 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/01 06:23:25 04/12/2003 20:32 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 10:54:44 04/12/2003 20:32 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 10:54:43 04/12/2003 20:32 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 09:35:24 04/12/2003 20:32 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 09:35:24 04/12/2003 16:15 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/12 14:05:15 04/12/2003 16:15 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/12 14:05:14 04/12/2003 16:15 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/12 13:58:31 04/12/2003 16:15 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/12 13:58:31 04/12/2003 13:27 Dave Could not pcA into LMJ-PC2, and so did not update database on LMJ-PC1. Small numbers of CSS fish have yet arrived at LMN, so it's not critical. Will try again tomorrow. 04/11/2003 14:43 Dave Updated map files to GRJ03101.MAP, GOJ03101.MAP, and LMJ03101.MAP at GRJ, GOJ, and LMJ respectively. New map instructions monitor all LYLE-0 (AC-31) tags at GRJ and GOJ; all of these tags are to be transported. At LMJ, two of five AC-31 tags will be diverted off the separator; the other 60% are to be transported. The existing GRJ database already contains the 129k+ AC-31 tags. I also updated the database files at GOJ and LMJ to GOJ03101.DB and LMJ03101.DB, respectively. In addition to the daily updates to CSS tags, these new databases contain the 129k+ AC-31 tags not previously instantiated at these sites. 04/10/2003 16:04 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/10 14:05:20 04/10/2003 16:04 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/10 14:05:19 04/10/2003 16:04 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/10 14:00:19 04/10/2003 16:04 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/10 14:00:18 04/10/2003 15:47 Dave Updated database to GOJ03100.DB and LMJ03100.DB at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 04/09/2003 14:25 Dave Updated database and map files to LMJ03099.DB and LMJ03099.MAP, respectively. In addition to updating the CSS Action Codes 11-26, the new db file contains 120k tags for the Lower Granite Transportation Evaluation study, LGR-TE (AC-36). The new map file corrects deficiencies in the previous LMJ03090.MAP file regarding the identification and diversion of these AC-36 tags. The new map file correctly diverts these fish to the river at a ratio of 1::1 (half to the river, half to the barge). 04/08/2003 09:35 Dave Updated databases at GOJ and LMJ to GOJ03098.DB and LMJ03098.DB, respectively. 04/07/2003 17:03 Dave Updated db to LMJ03097.DB. 04/07/2003 15:53 Troy Here are the DTAM settings recorded for LMJ A Gate Delay Op 0 Travel Open 44 Time Open 150 Travel Close 24 B Gate Delay Op 0 Travel Open 58 Time Open 150 Travel Close 30 04/07/2003 15:45 Troy Visited these sites today to record DTAM settings. Note that, as these are new settings, there are no data yet available to indicate the change, if any, in diversion effectiveness ( target tags diverted / target tags present) or efficiency (target tags diverted / [target tags present + non-target tags present + non-tagged fish present]) from the previous delay settings. 04/01/2003 12:44 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 10:54:44 04/01/2003 12:44 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 10:54:43 04/01/2003 10:08 Dave After many attempts and two phone calls, I was finally able to pcA in LMJ-PC1 at ~9:20 am. Installed corrected LMJ03090.MAP file (including gate delays for the SP4 DU's defined for CSS and LGR-TE fish). Installed new LMJ02090.DB database file. LMJ-PC1 and LMJ-PC2 Multimon configurations are now identical. PTTP had not uploaded data files since noon yesterday. I inspected the accumulated files, and found a bunch of high ASCII garbage in LMJ03090.111 after 23:25:58, after which all time stamps reverted to '02/01/05'. I renamed that file to xxx-LMJ03090.111. Today's files commenced with LMJ03091.103 (at ~8:26 am, coincident with when I had Dawn reboot that computer). I renamed today's three files by prepending an "x-" to the filename, and archived ALL outstanding files. I then restarted Multimon on LMJ-PC1 at 9:35:24, with data file LMJ03091.106. I also stopped and restarted PTTP on LMJ-PC1 to reset the countdown timer. Finally I pcA'd into LMJ-PC2 and uploaded data files LMJ03091.203-204, covering the interval since 7:00 am this morning when the facility switched to secondary collection, and fish (including PIT- tagged fish) have been routed across the separator and into the collection facility. 04/01/2003 09:48 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/01 06:23:26 04/01/2003 09:48 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'OFF' to 'ON' at 2003/04/01 06:23:25 04/01/2003 09:48 DGE_Robo A_DivertDuringSample (A_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 06:22:42 04/01/2003 09:48 DGE_Robo B_DivertDuringSample (B_DDSample) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 06:22:40 04/01/2003 09:48 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 06:00:01 04/01/2003 09:48 DGE_Robo B_SampleGateBypass (B_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/04/01 06:00:01 03/31/2003 19:36 Dave pcA'd into LMJ-PC1. Took Multimon out of data collection mode to update the configuration files and immediately locked the machine up. Lost connection to LMJ-PC1. Have been unable to re-establish connection. pcA'd into LMJ-PC2. Saved Scott's version of LMJ03090.MAP, and then installed a corrected version (including his gate delay times in the DU's for all SP4 protocols for CSS and LGR-TE fish). The new LMJ03090.MAP file also contains a new definition for AC-47 (DMITRI). Fish with this action code will be ignored (monitored, not diverted) at the separator gates, and monitored at all other locations. I also uploaded a new database file, LMJ03090.DB, containing 11,474 tag codes for AC-47, and 4844 additional tag codes for AC-16 (CSS-WF). This database also contains the first few (15) definitions in ACs 21-26 for CSS tags previously detected and diverted back to the river at GRJ. Re-synced clock on LMJ-PC2. This machine is currently in data collection mode, and controlling gate diversions. I will contact LMJ SMP personnel tomorrow AM and have them assist me with the connection on LMJ-PC1. 03/31/2003 16:37 scott Stick tested entire facility with > than 99 percent detection efficiency for all tranceivers. I uploaded the "gen" versions of the hardware files from PC1 and PC2 to the PTAGIS FTP server. I updated the current ignor.tag file from the site to the PTAGIS FTP server. I deleted all "gn8" files on PC1 and PC2. All generic Multimon configuration files are now mirrored between each site's PC1 and PC2 platforms and the respective site directory on the PTAGIS FTP server. 5) I downloaded and installed the goj03082.db and lmj03082.db databases to PC1 and PC2 at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 6) I downloaded and installed the goj03084.map and lmj03084.map map files to PC1 and PC2 at GOJ and LMJ, respectively. 7) With Multimon inactive, I synced the clocks on PC1 and PC2 to "real time". 8) I rebooted PC1 and PC2, changing the "Shut Down Windows" option from "Shut Down" to "Re-Start" as necessary. The Multimon Computer platforms at GOJ and LMJ are now configured for active diversion and monitoring for the 2003 field season. The sites are scheduled to begin secondary collection (fish across the separator) at 0700h on 4/1/03. 03/26/2003 06:25 DGE_Robo A_SampleGateBypass (A_SBypass) changed from 'ON' to 'OFF' at 2003/03/25
