EVENT LOG FOR SITE LTR The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 12/14/2011 10:36 event 12/13/2011 @~1242 DEDLOFF I did a download of file LTR11347.ALL and erased the buffer. Everything appears normal. 12/05/2011 14:43 Events 12/05/2011 @~1019 DEDLOFF I did a download of file LTR11339.ALL and erased the buffer. The status report downloaded fine this time, I'm not sure why it didn't download last time? 11/28/2011 09:32 events 11/17/2011 @~1251 DEDLOFF I did a download of file LTR11321.ALL and erased the buffer. The status report once again did not print out I will look for the cause before next download. 10/17/2011 10:23 event 10/14/2011 @~1442 DEDLOFF I did a download of file LTR11287.ALL and erased the buffer. We ran out of propane sometime after 1450 on 10/9 and were running again by 1248 on 10/10. With the loss of power we also lost the status report from 9/22 to 10/09 on file LTR11287.ALL. 10/17/2011 09:37 events 09/22/2011 @~1343 Dedloff Downloaded file LTR11265.ALL and erased buffer. I reconfigured the array sequence to conform with standard configuration. Antenna's #1 and #2 are upstream with #1 on right bank, #3 and #4 are in the middle with #3 on the right bank and #5 and #6 downstream with #5 on the right bank. Each set of two antenna's ( #1 and #2 for example) span the entire river from bank to bank. With the three complete coverage's form bank to bank, we hope to get a better idea on direction of travel on tagged fish. 09/09/2011 09:37 Jerry 09/08/2011 @~1540 Dedloff I did a download of file LTR11251.ALL and erased the buffer. The antenna sequence is as follows, standing upstream above the array looking downstream the MUX is on the right bank and the top row of antenna's are #3 R. bank #2 L. bank, middle set of antenna's #5 R. bank #6 L. bank, bottom set farthest downstream are #4 R. bank #1 L. bank. I still have a stray pit tag ( 3D9.1C2C48CB5D) under antenna # 1 that I haven't been able to find with the paddle and cheese block. 08/30/2011 12:12 Jerry 08/29/2011 @~1200 Dedloff I did a download of file LTR11241.ALL and erased the buffer. The repairs to this site are complete and we will continue to monitor regularly. I will make the antenna sequence available the next time I visit the site. 08/30/2011 12:02 Jerry 08/16/2011 @~1421 Dedloff I did a download of the file LTR11228.ALL and I erased the buffer. We put the new antenna's in place today and are having some trouble with our cables. We will continue to leave this site operational with the understanding that we are in the repair phase and therefore the site will be compromised until the repairs are complete. We know that we have at least one active pittag in the gravel under one of our antenna's and we will attempt to locate it when we have the time. 08/30/2011 11:45 Jerry 08/05/2011 @~0925 Dedloff I did a download of file LTR11217.ALL and erased the buffer. The reason for this download is to prevent the potential loss of data during repairs to our arrays. The Tucannon river at our array site is approximately 35' wide. We currently have 3 sets of two 15' arrays spanning the river at staggered intervals leaving about 5' of the river without detection. I think it is very unlikely that a fish could swim past our current configuration without being detected. We needed to replace 3 of the non-functioning 15' antenna's so we decided to replace them with 20' antenna's, by doing this we will have three sets (a 15' and a 20' side by side) that span the entire river. Our purpose is to get complete coverage at three different points at the LTR site and to eliminate any doubt that some fish may have been able to swim through the old maze of array's undetected. 08/30/2011 11:11 Jerry 8/1/2011 @ ~1145 Dedloff I did a download of the file LTR11213.ALL and erased the buffer. We are in the process of repairing the damage to our arrays from this winters high flows. Be aware that for the next month our downloads may contain many VTT and documented test tags as we try to get this site back to 100%. We plan to replace 3 of the 15' arrays with 20'ers. 07/22/2011 09:32 events 7/19/2011 0945 Dedloff I did a download and erased the buffer at the LTR site. I replaced the empty LP tanks with full tanks. The river flows are down and fish movement has slowed. We had pit tag hits on 3 of 6 antenna's so we at least know those 3 are working the other 3 antenna's need attention and we have plans to fix or replace them sometime soon. 07/08/2011 08:17 Events On July 7th I meet with USCOE ranger Matt at the site and now have keys for access again, I did a download and erase of buffer. The river has come down enough that I was able to wade out and wiggle/reconnect the pigtail connections on the arrays and we now have 3 antenna's that work well and 1 that is working but with low amps +/- 100, it didn't help the 2 others that are not working. With the lower flows we will be able to pull and fix the non functional antenna's soon. 06/17/2011 13:03 DFW On June 15th we did a download and erase of buffer. Replaced low LP bottles with full bottles. USCOE have changed locks on access gate and will supply new keys before next download. The high flows still hamper efforts to correct antenna problems, on this download only antenna #5 was working properly and it accounts for all pit tag detections on this file. 06/02/2011 11:03 DFW On June 2nd we did a download and erase of buffer. The high flows still hamper efforts to correct antenna problems, on this download only antenna #5 was working properly and it accounts for all pit tag detections on this file. 05/23/2011 12:56 DFW 05/18/2011 @ 12:09 Download and erased buffer. Only antenna #6 is working. The extreme high flows have disabled all other antenna's (#1,2,3,4 and 6). I will attempt to fix the problem when the river flows come down. 05/23/2011 12:37 DFW 05/05/2011 @ 14:38 Download and erased buffer. System is working but because of high river flows we are once again experiencing problems with antenna's #2,#4 not working and #6 has very low amps. Antenna's 1,3,5 are working fine. 05/23/2011 11:08 DFW We found a leak in our propane regulator line which caused the LTR site to run out of propane for a second time with the last entry @ 07:45 on 04/03/2011. Download did not include status report updates. I filled propane bottles and powered up the Mux and downloaded & erased last file @ 07:02 on 04/12/2011. 05/23/2011 10:36 DFW The LTR site ran out of propane with the last entry @ 14:30 02/24/2011. Download did not include status report updates. I filled propane bottles and powered up the Mux @ 14:06 on 02/28/2011. Antenna #4 is the only antenna that didn't pick up any pit tags, I'm not sure of the status of the other five antenna's other than they all picked up tags since the last download. 05/23/2011 09:31 DFW I downloaded and erased buffer on 01/21/2011 @ 13:30. High flows may be creating noise or connection problems, only antenna #2 and #5 seem to be working properly and picking up tags, antenna's #3 and #4 are not working and #1 and #6 are weak with low amps/high noise. 05/20/2011 13:58 Dedloff I downloaded and erased buffer on 12/29/2010 @ 11:06 and everything seemed to be working fine. 01/01/2011 00:00 PTOC_Bot Annual log file initiation for LTR #### End of Event Log for LTR ###
