We may need to address this system in the near future. 09/18/2008 16:16 Darren The files were uploaded automatically at 16:00 09/18/2008 15:13 Darren_C The firewall issues with the Portland District COE has finally been resolved. We were inadvertently blocked and Chris Sampier did not realize that we owned the whole block of addresses. He initially unblocked only one address which allowed us to PCA into the sites but we could not send any data to our servers. After he realized that we needed all the addresses we were able to get in and send the files via PTTP and PCA. We will monitor for the 16:00 upload to ensure that the sites are loading on their own and continue to watch fro any other aspects that may not be working. The sites appear to be functioning properly at this time. 09/18/2008 13:15 Darren_C The PCA connection has been resolved. Although we can get to the platforms we are still unable to send data or do any ftp sessions from the sites out. I am still working to resolve this issue. Dave Marvin has grabbed the outstanding files and uploaded them manually. Until this issue is fully resolved we not receive any files from the WW district sites. 09/18/2008 09:28 Darren_C I am currently in the process of trying to get in touch with Chris Sampier or Antonio Sanchez from the Portland District office to find out why the Walla Walla district sites have no communications. I am not able to get to any of the platforms and they are not able to send. I am not sure if this has anything to do with the line that was cut yesterday between Starbuck and Dayton but I will hopefully find out more when I speak with Portland District. 09/17/2008 08:00 darren@b 07:Overrun,07:TestTagFailure: System has degraded to the point at which very little current is able to be driven through the antenna. 09/11/2008 08:14 troy@bay 01:LowExcCurrent,07:LowExcCurrent: These alarms were generated during a site GMC. 09/10/2008 15:40 Darren A site GMC was performed today (9-10-08). All transceivers were checked for tuning, noise, and detection ability. No problems were found. 09/10/2008 07:35 darren@b 07:LowExcCurrent,07:Overrun: I will be investigating this alarm during the site GMC today. 09/09/2008 07:17 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure,07:LowExcCurrent: These systems will be addressed tomorrow during the site GMC. 09/07/2008 08:01 alan@bay 05:TestTagFailure,07:LowExcCurrent: These will be investigated during the next site visit. 09/06/2008 07:45 alan@bay 05:TestTagFailure,07:LowExcCurrent: These will be investigated during the next site visit. 09/05/2008 11:16 alan@bay 07:LowExcCurrent: Noted 09/02/2008 08:24 alan@bay 07:LowExcCurrent: Issues with this system have been documented. 09/02/2008 08:23 alan@bay 05:TestTagFailure: Problem will be corrected on the next site visit. 08/30/2008 10:49 scottl@b 05:TestTagFailure: Problem will be corrected on the next site visit. 08/29/2008 08:38 alan@bay 07:LowExcCurrent: The issues with this antenna have been documented. 08/26/2008 08:15 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure: No direct cause for this alarm. The transceiver is tuned and detecting tags. PSMFC will investigate this during the next site visit. This system has had this problem in the past but the timer tag came back to life after a few days. 08/23/2008 15:21 scottl@b 07:LowExcCurrent: Problem has been documented, Will follow up and post further information Monday of next week. 08/22/2008 08:10 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure: It appears that this timer tag has come back. It has been firing since wednesday without failure. PSMFC will investigate this transceiver during the next site visit. 08/21/2008 08:15 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure: There is no direct cause for this failure. The system is detecting PITtags well but the timer tag is not being seen. PSMFC will investigate this during the next site visit. 08/20/2008 08:13 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure: There does not seem to be any direct cause for this failure. PSMFC will investigate during the next site visit. The system is detecting PITtags with a high detection efficiency. 08/19/2008 08:12 darren@b 07:LowExcCurrent: It was discovered last week that this antenna may be failing. PSMFC was on site Friday to try and verify the problem and it appears that the problem is directly related to the antenna. I will reset the alarm threshold to minimize the file size. 08/18/2008 08:36 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure: There does not appear to be any direct cause for this failure. The system located just below this system is experiencing some problems that are located below the waterline. PSMFC will continue to monitor for this alarm. 08/18/2008 08:21 darren@b 07:LowExcCurrent: PSMFC was on site Friday 8-15 and determined that the cause of these alarms is due to a problem which is below the water line (antenna). This transceiver was able to drive the antenna located just above 07 with no noise problems. We will contiue to drive this antenna to get any detections possible until the situation becomes such that we are damaging the electronics. 08/17/2008 08:27 alan@bay 05:TestTagFailure: No apparent reason for these alarms. PTAGIS Field Operations will continue to monitor. 08/17/2008 08:26 alan@bay 07:LowExcCurrent: Noted. 08/16/2008 08:18 alan@bay 07:LowExcCurrent,07:TestTagFailure: This was addressed in yesterday's pitevent. 08/16/2008 08:18 alan@bay 05:BadOscFreq,05:LowExcCurrent,05:TestTagFailure: These alarms were generated by PTAGIS Field Operations personnel during a site visit. 08/15/2008 15:57 Alan A GMC was performed 8/15/2008. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. Transceiver 07 is able to drive antenna 05. Transceiver 05 cannot drive antenna 07. The problem is with the antenna and will be investigated when the ladder is dewatered. Transceiver 07 is showing noise around 100% and current at 2.5A. The alarm threshold was lowered to 2000mA. My test stick can be read at the inductor. The hit rate was adjusted to 99%, but cycling the transceiver in and then out of standby does not get a sucessful timer tag. We will continue to monitor. The PCs clocks (~ 00:00:30 slow) were set to within one second of atomic time. No other problems found. 08/15/2008 08:34 alan@bay 07:TestTagFailure: This will be investigated during a site visit today. 08/13/2008 08:46 alan@bay 07:LowExcCurrent: This transceiver appears to have drifted out of tune. It is reading PIT Tags with high efficiency. This will be addressed Friday during a GMC. 08/05/2008 08:21 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure: The detection system appears to be optimized with very little noise. It is detecting at a high efficiency so the cause for the test tag failure is unclear. PSMFC will investigate this failure during the next site GMC. 08/04/2008 08:11 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure: There does not seem to be any direct cause for this failure. The transceiver is operating without any signs of noise in the system. PSMFC will investigate this during the next site visit. 08/01/2008 16:20 Alan Manually pushed MC208214.E1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 07/28/2008 16:06 Darren The files not received after 09:00 this morning were uploaded at 16:00. 07/23/2008 13:07 Alan A GMC was performed 7/23/2008. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The PCs clocks (~ 00:00:30 slow) were set to within one second of atomic time. No problems found. 07/17/2008 16:22 Alan Manually pushed MC208199.E1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 07/14/2008 16:24 Alan Manually pushed MC208196.E1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 07/10/2008 08:33 darren@b 01:LowExcCurrent,03:LowExcCurrent: Alarms generated by PSMFC personnel during a site GMC. 07/09/2008 13:32 Alan A GMC was performed 7/9/2008. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The PCs clocks (~ 00:01:00 slow) were set to within one second of atomic time. No problems found. 07/04/2008 08:14 troy@bay 03:TestTagFailure: Noted 06/23/2008 08:20 scottl@b 01:LowExcCurrent: Noted 06/19/2008 14:57 troy@psm A site GMC was performed 06/19/2008. 02 has noise in the mid teens that cannot be tuned out. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. No other problems to report. 06/12/2008 08:59 darren@b 0D:LowExcCurrent: This alarm was addressed yesterday during a site GMC. 06/11/2008 12:52 Troy A site GMC was performed 06/11/2008. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. OD was reporting an occasional low exciter current. After checking the tune the threshold was dropped from 2300 to 2100. The transceiver is running at 2300 mA. No other problems to report. 06/06/2008 10:51 Dave The DMBS server crashed yesterday as interrogation data files were being processed. The appropriate steps were taken to restart the DBMS and recover unprocessed data records and their source files. As part of the recovery process, most of the outstanding data files were processed yesterday afternoon. The remaining 15 files were processed this morning. This included one file each from GOJ, MC2, MCJ, RIA, SUJ, VC1, VC2, and WEA, four files from TWX, and three files from WFF. 06/06/2008 08:17 Alan I moved MC208157.D1 from the archive folder to the data folder and submitted it manually via PCA. 06/03/2008 14:45 Alan A GMC was performed 6/3/2008. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The clocks on both PCs (~25 seconds slow) were set to within one second of atomic time. No problems found. 05/28/2008 14:36 Alan A GMC was performed 5/28/2008. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The PC's clocks are 16 seconds behind atomic time. No problems found. 05/22/2008 14:03 Darren A site GMC was performed today (5-22-08). All transceivers were checked fro tuning, noise and detection ability. Antenna 0A is starting to become harder to drive although it is still detecting PITtags it may start to generate alarms on a more constant basis. PSMFC is aware fo this situation but the problem is solely the antenna. 05/16/2008 11:51 Alan A GMC was performed 5/16/2008. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The PCs clocks were set to within one second of atomic time. No problems found. 05/08/2008 11:28 Darren A GMC was performed 5/8/2008. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The PCs clocks 16 seconds behind atomic time. No problems found. 05/01/2008 13:04 Troy A site GMC was performed 05/01/2008. All transcievers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. 04/25/2008 08:10 Alan Manually pushed MC208116.B1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 04/22/2008 16:01 Alan A GMC was performed 4/22/2008. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The PCs clocks are 16 seconds behind atomic time. No problems found. 04/10/2008 16:29 Alan Manually pushed MC208101.E1 to PTAGIS via PCA. 04/10/2008 12:50 Alan A GMC was performed 4/10/2008. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The PCs clocks (about four minutes fast) were adjusted to within one second of atomic time. No problems found. 04/02/2008 13:10 scottl Performed GMC, All transceivers were retuned and calibrated as necessary, all internal batteries were replaced. No problems to report. 03/18/2008 08:01 alan@ruf 0D:LowExcCurrent,11:LowExcCurrent: These alarms were generated by PTAGIS Field Operations during a site visit. 03/17/2008 12:43 scottl Replaced UPS's, no fish traffic was observed on PC2 during the brief outage on PC1. Performed GMC, all transceivers were retuned and calibrated as necessary, no problems to report. 03/04/2008 08:04 troy@ruf 04:Overrun: PSMFC will monitor and if this alarm continues to occur it will be addressed on the next site visit. 03/02/2008 08:12 darren@r 09:TestTagFailure: Alarm noted. 02/28/2008 11:58 scottl Due to ongoing problems and no detections with the antenna 09, the transceiver was turned off,the exciter cable was disconnected and marked with RED tape. This unit will remain out of commission until the next dewatering period when the antenna can be replaced. 02/28/2008 07:12 darren@r 09:TestTagFailure: This detection system was tested during the de- watering period and it was found that the antenna has failed. PSMFC will be unable to replace the antenna this season. Because of the location we would require crane support which could not be scheduled due to other work being performed and the time frame of the outage. PSMFC will try to drive this antenna to the best of it's ability for the next season and schedule the replacement for next years ladder outage. 01/03/2008 07:40 darren@r 04:LowExcCurrent,04:TestTagFailure,06:TestTagFailure,07:LowExcCurrent,08:O verrun,09:TestTagFailure,0B:LowExcCurrent,0C:LowExcCurrent,0D:TestTagFailu re,11:LowExcCurrent,12:TestTagFailure,13:LowExcCurrent: PSMFC is trying to confirm that the ladder was de-watered on 1/2/08.
