It was turned off at 1600 hours. 11/20/98 14:30 davem SMP personnel report that on November 18, the PIT tag diversion gate was found standing open. It is presumed that it was this way for at least 45 minutes as the COE technician makes his rounds every hour. 11/20/98 14:30 davem SMP personnel report that, beginning November 5, fish will be transported on odd days by truck. 11/02/98 11:21 scottl SMP personnel report that on Nov. 2 the facility was placed in primary bypass from 9:55 to 16:30 to repair the B-side PIT tag slide gate. Per Brad Eby, the B-side flume was dewatered due to a sample gate hinge failure. Also, the B-side slide gate has eratic operation due to excessive wear in the slides. These are due to be rebuilt this winter. 10/30/98 10:09 dlwarf MCJ-14, B-RACEWAY ISO: Annunciator warnings acknowledged 10/30/98 10:08 dlwarf MCJ-15, RIVER-1 ISO: Annunciator warnings acknowledged 10/30/98 10:07 dlwarf MCJ-9, B-SUBSAMPLE: Annunciator warnings acknowledged 10/23/98 07:00 davem SMP personnel report that all fish collected between 0700h on October 21 and 0700h on October 23 were bypassed to the river on October 23. 10/22/98 11:01 dlwarf MCJ-15, RIVER-1 ISO: Annunciator warnings acknowledged 10/22/98 11:00 dlwarf MCJ-14, B-RACEWAY ISO: Annunciator warnings acknowledged 10/22/98 11:00 dlwarf MCJ-9, B-SUBSAMPLE: Annunciator warnings acknowledged 10/19/98 16:12 scottl Brad Eby reported the B-side slide gate was not opening. Traveled to the site and manually opened gate. Triggered gate numerous times to work out the silt build up in the rails. These gates are way over due for rebuild. Will follow up during winter down time to ensure that the gates and rails are rebuilt. Also, The timer tags for the gate coils will be removed from the ignore.dat file so that the gates cycle every time the timer tags fire. This will excersise the gates more frequently and prevent excessive debree build up in the slide rails. 10/19/98 10:40 scottl ISO Xceiver for coil B4 was re-installed on Fri. Oct.16, 1998. This was the unit that had failed and was sent back to destron for repair. Unit tested good. 10/17/98 07:00 davem SMP personnel report that all fish collected between 0700h on October 15 and 0700h on October 17 were bypassed to the river on October 17. 10/14/98 08:24 scottl Iso xceiver (S/N 013) on coil b4 failed between 19:15 and 19:30 on 9/10/98. The unit was removed from service on 9/15/98 and returned to Destron/fearing on 9/18/98. Per Destron, The Dc-Dc converter on the main PCB failed which resulted in no exciter current. The unit was put through the burn-in cycle and return to the PSMFC (Kennewick) office on 10/3/98. Immediatly after the release was completed, the facilty was put into primary bypass and the fish and debris separator was evacuated of fish. This resulted in very high densities of PIT tagged fish being released into the facility. 08/04/98 11:47 carters ISO coils were installed on Friday, June 27, 1998. River - 1 coils (400kHz, downstream from from raceway bypass) were powered off at 18:30, Monday, August 3, 1998 for ISO fish testing. B-Raceway coils (400kHz) were powered off at 11:40, August 4 for ISO fish testing. Facility is placed in bypass mode during ISO fish testing. This means that fish will pass through B-Raceway ISO, River-1 ISO and River-2 ISO monitors. The 400kHz monitors mentioned above are turned off to eliminate any radio frequency interference that may cause degradation of ISO readers. 07/26/98 21:30 davem SMP personnel report that on July 26 at 2130 the McNary JFF was switched to primary bypass due to mechanical problems associated with maintaining the collection channel elevation.
