On September 25 at 0700 (PDT), the facility was put to primary bypass for the duration of the season, December 15. This was due to high daily shad numbers and low smolt numbers. 11/18/2008 11:24 Darren_C Brad Eby informed us today that the Full Flow pipe will be shut down completely as of tomorrow morning. They will begin the process today but we may still see some PITtag detections throughout the night. He did not give any specific time of the complete shut down. PSMFC will check the exciter reports for the transceivers to try and designate a time when there is no water in the pipe. I will also make the change to the site status page tomorrow morning after verification. Darren R. We were inadvertently blocked and Chris Sampier did not realize that we owned the whole block of addresses. He initially unblocked only one address which allowed us to PCA into the sites but we could not send any data to our servers. After he realized that we needed all the addresses we were able to get in and send the files via PTTP and PCA. We will monitor for the 16:00 upload to ensure that the sites are loading on their own and continue to watch fro any other aspects that may not be working. Although we can get to the platforms we are still unable to send data or do any ftp sessions from the sites out. I am still working to resolve this issue. alan@bay 61:TestTagFailure: This was addressed yesterday during a site visit. 08/15/2008 17:22 Dave I pcA'd into MCJ-PC1 and pushed the current ignor.tag file to the PTAGIS server. On the server, I removed the comment tokens from the A4 and B4 tag records. I updated the MCJ_Timer_Tags.txt file, and processed the current list into the PTAGIS database. 08/15/2008 15:45 scottl Performed site GMC, all transceivers were retuned and calibrated as necessary. Replaced failed timer tag on coil 61, made edits to the ignor.tag on PC1 and 2, new timer tag code for this coil is 3D9.0EEEEEE305. Threw sticks on both A and B seperator gates, both gates were very late when trying to divert the sticks. B-Separator gate air pressure was at 85 psi and was adjusted to 100 psi. The gate was then excersized extensively before the gate sucessfully diverted a stick tag. A-Separator gate was also slow due to the lack of excersize. Again, cycled gate extensively before it would sucessfully divert a tag. Given the lack of traffic in the system, The timer tags for coils A4 and B4 were commented out of the ignor.tag file so that the gates are cycled once per hr when the TT fire. This should help keep the gates working properly during the low traffic times through the facility. Informed the separator operator that this change was made and requested that this change be entered into the separator log for the record. Also, the gate covers are labled with the message" This equipment operates without warning" Also left Brad Eby a note that this change was made. PC clocks are within 23 seconds of each other and 11 seconds behind atomic time. Submitted gap file 08228.210 to cover a breif outage on PC1 even though no fish traffic was observed on PC2. Any other outages on PC1 were not more than 2 seconds. File MCJ08205.209 was uploaded from PC2 to fill the gap during PC1's downtime. For unknown reasons, some SLC500 errors were generated while PC2 was being modified. Instead of being diverted, 3D9.1C2C52822B was sent to the raceway as a result. The PLC has recovered. The clocks on both PCs (00:00:05 slow) were adjusted to within one second of atomic time. Multimon is running in full screen mode on both PCs. C&D gates were switched to the FORWARD MODE (closed) and then turned off and the air bled. A and B gates were tested. B gate sounded like it was firing but was not opening. It was found that the clevis pin had a bolt instead of a pin and it had come loose or sheared off. The site went into Primary Bypass at around 13:43 PDST and came back on line ~ 2 hours later once a new pin had been installed. The database contains some 283k fall Chinook tag codes for AC-48 (FAC0-X), and excludes some 50k+ tags previously used for research collection. The new map file provides instructions for default diversion of PIT tags to the river if and when transportation operations begin. All transceivers were checked for tune and adjustments made where needed. C1 was replaced, noticed current bouncing on C2, swapping sync around didn't fix. C1 had a EWP alarm and no current. After a few power cycles the display locked up. A new transceiver was installed and flashed, and the report delay set to 180 on C1 and C2. Comm's was tested from the pit tag room and all looks well. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The separator gates were enabled the air was turned on (~95psi each). The A and B Separator gates were tested with 10 sticks each. All sticks diverted properly. The gates were then disabled and the air shut off.
