EVENT LOG FOR SITE PRO The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 12/31/2010 09:52 Darren PSMFC is aware of the condition of system 01. We will monitor system 02 and address the situation on Monday 1-3-11. 12/26/2010 12:32 scottl Communications for xcvr 03 was lost on the 24th. restarted the Minimon application in order to restore clean communications with this unit. This issue has been ongoing for sometime and should be looked further investigated. 12/15/2010 12:18 Darren The master modem for 04 was found to be bad due to water damage. The conduit for 03 and 04 was found to have water in it. A man lift will be required to try and determine where the water is coming from. The water was drained from the conduit and the modem was replaced and re-configured. The slave was re-configured to accept the master. Each PC had to be re-booted to clear the port. The patch file was PRO10349.O2. Some 2700 files were archived on PC2 once the files on PC1 were pushed and the patch file was pushed. 12/06/2010 07:42 Troy 03 radio equipment lost communication with PC1. PC2 was monitored for fish data as Minimon was shutdown and re-started to re-establish communication. No fish data was observed during this process. 03 is back to communicating to PC1. 11/17/2010 07:27 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure: No direct cause for this alarm. It will be investigated during the next visit. 11/09/2010 13:53 Darren A site GMC was performed today because of noise issues on antenna 02, it was struggling to fire the timer tag, all transceivers were checked for tuning, noise, and detectability. The system on 02 was quiet when I arrived it may have been that the trash rack were cleaned. The computers were rebooted becasue of the comms issues on 03 this morning, the clocks also were adjsuted to within one second of each other and atomic time. There is a small gap on PC1 at which time no PITtags were recorded on PC2. No problems were discovered during this visit. 10/12/2010 14:03 Darren A site GMC was performed today (10-12-10). All the ladder transceivers were checked for tuning, noise, and detectability. No problems were discovered during this visit. 09/30/2010 08:10 darren@b 05:TestTagFailure: No direct cause for this alarm, we will monitor and make any necessary adjsutments. 09/29/2010 08:40 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: We have had a few unseasonably warm days which would cause this alarm. 09/15/2010 07:34 Troy@bay 02:HighTemp: These alarms are not uncommon for this time of year. 09/12/2010 11:05 Darren The .C1 file did not auto upload and hobbit was still showing the PC's were not connected. I arrived on site and found that although the sonciwall was see by hobbit there was no network at the PC level. I rebooted the sonicwall and the DSL modem and then submitted the file manually. The tunnel was re-established through hobbit. 09/12/2010 08:46 Darren Hobbit is reporting that both PC1 and PC2 are not responding. I was also not able to PCA into either machine. I will try to get in touch with site personnel, if that does not work I will travel to the site to rectify the PC connections. The PC's have not been responding for 16 minutes. 09/08/2010 10:13 Troy A site GMC was performed 09/08/2010. All fish ladder transceivers were checked of tune and adjustments made where needed. 04 is experiencing periodic noise spikes due to irregular water flow. The trash racks appear to be clean. Speaking with a YIN rep he stated that at the low flow rates that occur this time of year there isn't much that can be done about the 'waterfall' effect. The JFF is shut down. No other problems to report. 08/26/2010 08:42 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon this time of year. 08/24/2010 16:31 Alan Remotely added the Biomark 23 MM tag to the country code list in both PC1 and PC2 registries. 08/24/2010 08:35 darren@b 02:HighTemp: Alarm not uncommon this time of year. 08/21/2010 09:28 alan@bay 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Noted. 08/20/2010 08:35 alan@bay 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Noted 08/19/2010 08:26 alan@bay 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,03:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon this time of year. 08/18/2010 15:14 scottl Performed site GMC, all ladder transceivers were retuned and calibrated as necessary, no problems to report. 08/17/2010 09:00 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,03:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms are not uncommon this time of year. 08/16/2010 09:32 alan@bay 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Alarms common this time of year. 08/12/2010 09:19 Troy@bay 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: These alarms are not uncommon this time of year. 08/11/2010 08:25 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon this time of year. 08/07/2010 08:00 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon this time of year. 08/06/2010 08:34 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,03:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon this time of year. 08/04/2010 08:38 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,05:TestTagFailure: High Temp alarms not uncommon this time of year. PSMFC is montoring for any equipment problems during this period. 07/09/2010 13:14 Darren A site GMC was performed today (7-9-10). The visit was necessary to inspect the middle ladder as the timer tag counts on 04 had fallen. Upon arrival at all three ladders the signal and current looked very good and the detectability was also good. The ladders looked clean of debris but could not tell if this had recently (this morning) happened. Velcro was added to all the transciever doors to try and alleviate some of the heat. The AC unit in the room is trying to keep up with the outside temp, it is cooler in the PITtag room than in the facility wet lab. No problems were discovered during this visit. 07/09/2010 08:51 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,03:HighTemp,04:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon this time of year. 07/07/2010 08:33 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Not uncommon this time of year. 07/06/2010 09:52 Darren I was unable to PCA into the site to push the files. When I arrived on site all three CPU's did not have a connection to the internet. I cycled power on the DSL modem and the Sonicwall. This restored the interneet connection and I was able to manually push the files to PTAGIS servers. 07/06/2010 08:29 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms are not uncommon this time of year. We will monitor equipment operations during the high heat. 07/02/2010 08:47 alan@bay 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Alarm not uncommon this time of year. 06/29/2010 09:06 darren@b 02:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon this time of year. 06/28/2010 09:57 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon this time of the season. 06/27/2010 07:46 Troy@bay 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms common this time of year. 06/26/2010 08:03 Troy@bay 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: These alarms are not uncommon this time of year. 06/25/2010 09:02 troy@bay 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: These alarms are common this time of year. Clearing TASS. 06/24/2010 08:36 darren@b 05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon during this time of year. 06/23/2010 09:43 Alan A GMC was performed 6-23-2010. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. Upon arrival, communication with transceiver 03 was restored. Both PCs were rebooted anyway for good measure. 10 sticks were thrown into the separator and sample monitors: A1 9/10 A2 10/10 A3 10/10 51 10/10 52 10/10 All outstanding files on PC2 were archived. The clocks on both PCs were set to within one second of atomic time. The temp folders on both PCs were cleared. No problems to report. 06/19/2010 08:37 scottl 02 timer tag voltage was adjusted on the last site visit while retuning. Timer tag counts are down but efficiencies are good. This is not an issue at this time, TT voltage needs a slight increase. 06/18/2010 12:35 scottl Performed site GMC, all transcievers were retuned and calibrated as necessary. Left bank transceivers were very noisy, retuned and got noise down to 6 to 10 percent, TT hit rate at 100. Cleaned PIT tag room air conditioner filter, unit is making some god awful noises and may need replaced in the near future. No problems to report. Note: was attacked by swallows on the left bank, Birds made a nest between the sun shades and enclosure. 06/14/2010 08:22 scottl@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,04:TestTagFailure,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Problems noted, not an issue at this time. 06/13/2010 08:41 darren@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Alarms not uncommon this time of year. The sunshields on 01 and 02 do not help with the setting sun. PSMFC will monitor for system performance. 06/12/2010 08:50 darren@b 02:HighTemp: alarm is not uncommon this time of year. 06/10/2010 09:54 Alan A GMC was performed 5/25/2010. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The right bank trash rack has huge accumulations creating a ~12" waterfall through antenna 05 and causing noise from the 30's to 50's on both transceivers. The the left ladder also has some accumulations creating a ~9" waterfall. The water level is high through the left ladder and the antennas are being overtopped by about 1". Messages were left at Mark Johnstone's numbers apprising him of the situation. 10 sticks were thrown into the separator and sample monitors: A1 10/10 A2 10/10 A3 9/10 51 10/10 52 10/10 All outstanding files on PC2 were archived. The clocks on both PCs were set to within one second of atomic time. The temp folders on both PCs were cleared. No other problems found. 06/04/2010 08:17 Darren I noticed this morning that we were not receiving the messages from antenna/transceiver 03 since about 09:39 yesterday. I PCA'd into the site and found unknown communication errors for that port. I placed a marker in PC2 and stopped and restarted Minimon on PC1, this action corrected the comms error. I then placed another marker on PC2 and the time was 3:26 during which time only timer tags from the ladder were recorded. There will be a small gap on PC1 but no PITtag data was lost. 06/02/2010 15:29 Darren A site GMC was performed today 6-2-10. All transcievers were checked for tuning, noise, and detectability. There seems to be alittle noise on antenna 02, the water is high and there is some debris. The other transceivers were fine. 10 test sticks were passed through the separator monitor with 100% detection. No problems were discovered during this visit. 05/25/2010 12:00 scottl Replaced UPS for PC1 due to a recent UPS failure. Submitted gap file PRO10145.M2. This file was created during the time that PC1 was down. PC1 UPS backup supports the following devices: PC1,Sonicwall and the DSL modem. Surge Only outlets: PC1 monitor and Utility PC. PC2 UPS backup supports the following devices: PC2,FO modems,Radio Modems. Surge only outlets: PC2 and utility monitor. 05/25/2010 10:50 Alan A GMC was performed 5/25/2010. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The left bank trash rack has accumulations causing some noise on transceiver 02. Messages were left at Mark Johnstone's numbers apprising him of the situation. No sticks were thrown due to good fish traffic and high efficiencies. The metal feet were installed on the platform man ladders at the center and left fish ladders. All outstanding files on PC2 were archived. The clocks on both PCs were set to within one second of atomic time. The temp folders on both PCs were cleared. No problems found. 05/25/2010 08:32 Darren PSMFC noticed this morning that radio comms on antenna 03 had unknown communication errors on both PC's. Minimon had to be stopped and restarted on both PC's. This created a brief file gap on PC1. 05/25/2010 08:32 troy@bay 06:TestTagFailure: Noted, a site GMC is scheduled for today. 05/20/2010 13:17 Alan Don was at the site and found the UPS that was powering the DSL modem (and PC1) had failed. He connected the equipment to wall outlets, restoring internet connectivity. The UPS will be replaced during the next site visit. I manually pushed files PRO10139.P2 - PRO10140.M2 to PTAGIS, there should be no data gap. 05/20/2010 08:58 alan@bay 03:LowExcCurrent: This alarm was caused by PTAGIS Field Operations personnel during a site visit. 05/20/2010 08:33 Alan PTAGIS Field Operations is enroute to the site to investigate/re- establish internet connectivity. 05/19/2010 09:38 Alan A GMC was performed 5/19/2010. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The trash racks all have accumulations. The right bank is most notable in that the upstream side has about a 1' waterfall and the downstream side does not appear to be flowing. The water level on the left bank has risen to the point where 05 is being overtopped. Messages were left at Mark Johnstone's numbers apprising him of the situation. No sticks were thrown due to good fish traffic and high efficiencies. All outstanding files on PC2 were archived. The clocks on both PCs were set to within one second of atomic time. The temp folders on both PCs were cleared. No problems found. 05/17/2010 08:52 darren@b 06:HighTemp: Alarm not uncommon this time of year. 05/16/2010 09:08 scottl@b 05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Noted 05/15/2010 09:16 scottl@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp,05:HighTemp,06:HighTemp: Noted, will monitor. 05/14/2010 08:13 scottl@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Noted 05/14/2010 08:12 scottl@b 01:HighTemp,02:HighTemp: Noted 05/10/2010 09:20 Alan A GMC was performed 4/28/2010. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The trash racks all have accumulations, messages were left at Mark Johnstone's numbers apprising him of the situation. No sticks were thrown due to good fish traffic, high efficiencies and site personnel activity. All outstanding files on PC2 were archived. The clocks on both PCs were set to within one second of atomic time. No problems found. 04/30/2010 08:43 Alan Noticed 7 missing timer tags from transceiver 03 between 0545-0553 on 4- 30-2010. I remotely logged into both PCs and successfully sent numerous DRS and DTS commands from both PCs. PTAGIS Field Operations will continue to monitor. 04/28/2010 09:20 Alan A GMC was performed 4/28/2010. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The left bank downstream trash rack has an accumulation creating a 5" waterfall, but it does not appear to be affecting transceiver performance. No sticks were thrown due to good fish traffic, high efficiencies and site personnel activity. All outstanding files on PC2 were archived. The clocks on both PCs were set to within one second of atomic time. No problems found. 04/23/2010 09:13 darren@b 05:LowExcCurrent,06:LowExcCurrent: These alarms were generated by PSMFC personnel during a site GMC. 04/22/2010 16:06 Darren A site GMC was performed today (4-22-10). All transceivers on the counting windows were checked for tuning, noise, and detectability. There appears to be noise on antenna 05, the trash racks are full and there is a considerable amount of sticks and wood, the other transcievers were optimized. 10 Sticks were passed through the separator monitor with 100% detection. Both PC's were rebooted because of some intermittent communications that were observed yesterday morning on antenna 03. The odd characters were present on both machines. 04/13/2010 08:41 Troy This posting is to record a radio event, a gap in test tag data from 03. PSMFC will continue to monitor this situation and address when enough data is availble to make a decision as to what direction to go in. ~03-50 04/12/10 17:16:2 ALARM MESSAGE: Single-shot test with Test Tag. ~03-50 04/12/10 17:24:01 ALARM MESSAGE: Single-shot test with Test * M 03/25/2010 08:35 Alan@bay 01:TestTagFailure: No apparent reason for this one-time alarm. PTAGIS Field Operations will continue to monitor. 03/23/2010 08:30 darren@b 02:LowExcCurrent: There is no direct cause for this alarm. The actual current and the threshold are 500mA apart. There was a PIT tag detection just prior to the alarm. 03/22/2010 10:01 Alan A GMC was performed 3/22/2010. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. All outstanding files on PC2 were archived. 10 sticks were thrown into the separator and sample monitors: A1 8/10 A2 10/10 A3 10/10 51 10/10 52 10/10 The clocks on both PCs were set to within one second of atomic time. No problems found. 03/14/2010 14:28 Dave I manually modified the FILE CLOSED time from "03:00" to "04:00" to circumvent a processing error associated with the shift from PST to PDT. 03/13/2010 16:04 Alan MiniMon was exited breifly on PC2 to restore communications with transceiver 03. Proper communications to both PCs were verified. 03/10/2010 07:49 Alan A visit to the left ladder was made 3-9-2010 to determine what was causing elevated noise levels and diminished timer tag performance. The water level is a bit higher than normal. The water was ~3" below the top of the antenna orifices and wet concrete near the antennas suggest that the water had receded to that level. More telling was that the water between the picketed leads was not flowing smoothly and had eddies which indicate that the picketed leads need to be cleaned. Messages were left with Mark Johnston apprising him of the situation. 03/06/2010 08:16 Troy 39 timer tag counts are missing but it appears that the problem has corrected it's self. PSMFC will monitor. 02/24/2010 09:37 Alan PC1 crashed on 2-23-2010, causing a gap in data. Files PRO10053.V2 - X2 from PC2 were subbmitted to fill the gap. 02/24/2010 07:51 alan@bay 06:TestTagFailure: This alarm was caused by PTAGIS Field Operations personnel during a site visit. 02/23/2010 15:30 Alan A GMC was performed 2/23/2010. All transceivers were checked and tuned as necessary. The right bank has accumulations in the trash rack making those transceivers show noise spiking into the 20's. All outstanding files on PC2 were archived. 10 sticks were thrown into the separator and sample monitors: A1 10/10 A2 9/10 A3 10/10 51 10/10 52 10/10 Windows Defender was active and looking for updates on PC1. The utility PC had crashed and was powered down on arrival. It also had WD active. PC2 did not have WD active. Perhaps (although unlikely) this was the cause of recent Windows issues. Windows updates was verified to be off on all PCs. All PCs were cold booted. The clocks on both PCs were set to within one second of atomic time. No other problems found. 02/23/2010 07:34 Alan For unknown reasons, PC1 experienced an abnormal event and rebooted itself at ~2359 PST 2-22-2010. This is the second time this has happened in the last three days. PTAGIS Field Operations will investigate further when time allows. Files to fill the three hour gap have been located and the gap will be filled when time allows. No other problems to report. 02/23/2010 07:18 scottl@b 04:TestTagFailure: Noted 02/22/2010 08:35 Alan For unknown reasons, PC1 experienced an abnormal event and rebooted itself at ~1506 PST 2-20-2010. Examination of the TMP file on PC1 as well as PC2 data shows no PIT tag interrogations, so the 8 minute gap will not be backfilled. While examining PC2 it was noticed that communications to transceiver 03 were yielding "unknown communications errors". MiniMon was exited and restarted on PC2, restoring communications to transceiver 03. No other problems to report. 02/16/2010 07:56 Scott_Li Replace modem IP's in Hobbit for JCJ with the new addresses after the dish was realigned.
