EVENT LOG FOR SITE RIA Most recent activity to be listed first. First line of each entry lists date, time and who is reporting. Subsequent lines of each entry aligned under Time column. Do not use tabs, only spaces. Date Time Who What ---------- ----- -------- ----------------------------------------------- 12/12/2003 08:38 acarson@ On 12/10/03 14:40 the computer platform started collecting data from all transceivers. Fiber installation is complete and labeling of the High Speed Interface Panel will be complete when the remaining transceivers are communicating to the computer platform. Coil 03 will TX, but will not respond to commands from Minimon. I will work on this problem during next site visit, as CCPUD personnel may be involved. No tags were detected on any transceivers while the computer room was relocated therefore no buffers were downloaded. Manually uploaded and archived PC1 files RIA03344.G to RIA03346.B on 12/12/03. 11/19/2003 16:56 acarson@ The Pit Tag Room is being relocated to the top of the communications room toward the middle of the warehouse (same building). The construction has already begun and the computer platform will be removed on Nov. 24th. As of Nov. 19th 16:02:41 the computer platform is no longer collecting data. The new room is expected to be completed and collecting data by Dec. 3rd. All buffers have been deleted to collect any new data during the outage. Before the platform was disconnected PC1 was not sending data due to PC1 creating 1 large file, RIA03317.B from 11/13/03 03:00:15 - 11/19/03 08:35:07. PC1 Minimon was stop/started and files were archived(only). Data from PC2 was used to fill the gap from RIA03317.A2 to RIA03323.G2. These files were sent to ptagis after being modified. PC1 has been changed to manually upload until further notice from Dave Marvin. I will send any data collected from the transceivers when the system is back in operation. 11/17/2003 10:39 Dave I spoke with Anthony Carson, BioMark, this morning regarding data collection at PRD, RIS, and WEL and our PSMFC firewall issues. We decided that, to ensure the integrity and security of the data files at those sites, Anthony will disable automated file uploads in Minimon (by switching to the 'archive only' mode) until the firewall issue has been resolved. Data files will be sent manually. At Anthony's request, I've disabled file-checking for PRA, RIA, and WEA in etc/sites until further notice. 09/23/2003 16:27 acarson@ 07:LowExcCurrent: The replacement in-water noise listening antenna shows signs that it is also failing. Waiting for results of the original antenna. More later..... 09/23/2003 16:11 acarson@ 07:ExcessiveNoise: Excessive noise levels caused by possible leaking antenna. More later...... 09/04/2003 10:48 acarson@ 07:ExcessiveNoise: Excessive noise levels due to faulty antenna, de-tuning from ladder being dewatered, or ambient noise levels. Alarms will continue until antenna is replaced and final tuning is complete. 09/04/2003 10:40 acarson@ 07:BadExcFreq,07:BadOscFreq,07:LowExcCurrent,07:TestTagFailure: While looking into the cause of the alarms on 9/02/03, I first noticed the ladder was de-watered for maintenance (since 8/25/03). During re-tuning of 07, while the ladder was de-watered, the coil was determined to be faulty. Coil S/N 0007 did not pass the meger testing and is suspected to have leaked or the caps failed. The coil was removed and Coil S/N 0006 was installed 9/03/03. The ladder was watered up the morning of 9/4/03. Coil S/N will be sent back to manufacture for inspection and repair. 08/25/2003 14:26 acarson@ RIA PC1 has stopped sending data: RIA03234.E 08/22/03 12:00 08/22/03 15:00 LOADED-1 --- 08/22/03 16:25 DCPUD personnel have been notified and will check on PC1 today. 08/22/2003 11:21 acarson@ 07:ExcessiveNoise: Excessive noise alarms will be addressed on next site visit scheduled for late next week. 08/22/2003 11:21 acarson@ 07:ExcessiveNoise: Excessive noise alarms will be addressed on next site visit scheduled for late next week. 07/22/2003 09:47 scott_li With no other option , had Brett Turley from Biomark re-boot PC1 in order to restore the network connection. The PC's are configured to run DHCP and all pings and traceroutes are not allowed within the Chelan Co. network. Atleast they weren't when I installed the platfrom... Files were successfully sent subsequent to the reboot. 07/21/2003 09:35 scott_li Brett Turley callled this moring and is in route today to RIA in order to correct what ever is going on with the RIA computers. 07/18/2003 09:25 scott_li Made a follow up phone call to Biomark about the site not reporting. Jay McCowen indicated that they will have someone in the RIA area next week and will address the problem... 07/17/2003 16:18 Dave Haven't heard from RIA since yesterday (7/16/03) evening. Sent Biomark an alert earlier today. 04/21/2003 11:51 acarson@ 04:ExcessiveNoise: Excessive noise levels shown from 6:06:03 to 6:28:33 on coil 04 only. 04/09/2003 10:45 acarson@ Set clocks on both PC1 & PC2 during file RIA03099.D and archived files on PC2 only. Time adjusted for PC2- 9:26:45 to 9:14:45, and PC1- 9:26:45 to 9:15:45. 3/24/2003 15:42 Carter_S cea config for ria was set up. 03/21/2003 13:41 Dave I enabled site polling. 3/21/2003 09:43 acarson@ 01:LowExcCurrent,01:TestTagFailure,02:LowExcCurrent,02:TestTagFailure,03:L owExcCurrent,03:TestTagFailure,04:LowExcCurrent,04:TestTagFailure,07:LowEx cCurrent,07:TestTagFailure,09:LowExcCurrent,09:TestTagFailure: All alarms occurred during last site visit. 03/21/2003 09:36 acarson@ 01:ExcessiveNoise,02:ExcessiveNoise,03:ExcessiveNoise: Excessive noise alarms caused during site visit. 03/20/2003 15:23 acarson@ 07:LowExcCurrent: 07:LowExcCurrent: Current alarm caused during site visit. 03/20/2003 15:23 acarson@ 07:LowExcCurrent: Current alarm caused during site visit. 03/20/2003 15:20 acarson@ All transceivers have been re-flashed to the correct low current alarm thresholds after re-tuning and calibrated all coils 01-04, 07 & 09. The sunshields for the left ladder should be completed by tommorrow. All above water noise listening coils have been relocated to the warehouse. Power for the middle ladder will remain the same. The only other outlet for that circuit has been tagged and the shield grounded. An alternate power source for the right ladder has not yet been determined but they are working on it today. I located the missing file RIA03073.D and will be sending it to Dave M. tomorrow. I also manually uploaded (3)files from PC1 to PTAGIS and did not see any problems with the transfer. The interrogation site status reports show no problems since the missing file on 3/14/03. 03/18/2003 19:20 AnthonyC As of 17:00 3/12/03 PC1 & PC2 were communicating with all in-water antennae. This includes (4) left ladder antennae coil ID 01-04, (1) middle ladder antenna coil ID #07, and (1) right ladder antenna coil ID 09. The middle and right ladder DO have production in-water antenna installed that may detect pit tagged fish this year. I believe Scott L. was thinking that the above water antennae still located at each ladder were to be used for the noise monitoring antennae. Also, I will be on site probably 3/18/03 to find the missing file RIA03073.D and determine if the PTTP is recognizing when files have been successfully uploaded to PTAGIS. 03/18/2003 19:20 acarson@ 01:ExcessiveNoise,02:ExcessiveNoise,03:ExcessiveNoise,04:ExcessiveNoise,07 :ExcessiveNoise,09:ExcessiveNoise: As of 17:00 3/12/03 PC1 & PC2 were communicating with all in-water antennae. The file history for the surrounding period at RIA is intact. It appears this file was created normally but was not uploaded to PTAGIS from the client computer. Please check this out. 03/12/2003 08:29 Scott_Li The site interrogation platform was brought online yesterday at 1600 hrs by PTOC and is sending interrogation data to PTAGIS. The left ladder , Coils 01,02,03,04 are the production antennas. Middle ladder, coil 07, and right ladder coil 09 are suspended in air and are noise monitoring antennas only. Again, only the left ladder will be actually detecting Pittag fish. I will ask Anthony Carson to keep the event log updated as things progress at this site. 03/10/2003 09:23 Scott_Li FYI.... Tentatively, the Rock Island facility is scheduled to go into production tomorrow, March 10th. This is dependent on whether or not the network infrastructure has been completed by Chelan Co personnel. Anthony Carson will be at the facility today and will call PTOC with the current status. 01/01/2003 12:19 Dave Initialized new event log for 2003. This is a new site definition. ####End of Event Log for RIA###
