EVENT LOG FOR SITE SCP The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 12/15/2011 06:22 Robbette System shutdown for season. 11/22/2011 15:00 Robbette On 10/31/2011 @ 1300 the fuses in the FS1001M blew. New fuses were installed on 11/01/2011 @1050. No data was recorded at the site between these two times, a total of 21.5 hrs. 11/22/2011 14:53 Robbette 10/07/2011 A solar charging station has been installed at the Spring Creek/Foghorn Diversion Interrogation Site at Winthrop National Fish Hatchery. The solar station is housed on/in a 6 by 8 foot shed, with a 45° roofline and oriented south to maximize solar exposure. Six Astrogeny 185 watt solar panels are mounted on the roof and are regulated by an Outback FlexMax FM60 Charge Controller. The panels are charging a battery bank with a UPG rating of 400 amp hours @ 24 Volts DC for 9,600 watt hours. A 24 Volt DC to 24 Volt DC converter (Acopian Power Supply Model 24C24FT250) has been installed between the battery bank and the FS1001M (Mux) to regulate power to the FS1001M. A Raven X wireless modem was installed, enabling the FS1001M to be remote controlled. For pictures please refer to the PTAGIS wiki page ( http://php.ptagis.org/wiki/index.php/Yakama_Nation_Acclimation_Ponds#SCP_- _Spring_Creek_Instream_Array_below_Winthrop_NFH ) 11/22/2011 14:50 Robbette On 10/03/2011 @ 1345 Antenna 3 was disconnected from the FS1001M and removed from the stream. Only 2 antennas, the upper and mid-channel, are currently operating at the site. The 3rd antenna is planned to be re-installed and a new event log will reflect when that occurs. 07/31/2011 09:00 Robbette Data gaps seen on PTOC, either positive or negative, that were <6 hours were due to improper file saving, not actual data gaps. All data gaps >6 hours can be accessed at http://www.ptoccentral.org/Ptoc_OM/event_log/index.html and are correct. 07/31/2011 10:00 Robbette Power failure system not recording from 10:07 on 07/31/11 till 12:17 on 08/04/2011. Location code: SCP Site SCP was installed on March 8, 2011, with only one antenna (Pond Exit 2), located approximately 50m downstream of the acclimation pond outlet. Pond Exit 1, normally located within the outlet infrastructure, was not installed due to change in location for steelhead and spring Chinook broodstock collection. Juvenile coho and spring Chinook were transferred to the acclimation pond on March 9 and 10, respectively. Pond Exit 2 operated without incident from March 8 at 13:54 to March 22 at 04:22. The system was removed after the last file was closed at 09:54 on March 22 due to an unknown cause for antennae failure. No data was collected at SCP between March 22 at 09:54 and March 23 at 11:50. The multi-plex unit, installed by USFWS personnel approximately 40 meters downstream of Pond Exit 2, was operational on March 23 at 11:50. This multi-plex unit was an expansion for SCP and provided for the only data collection source from March 23 at 11: 50 until the end of Winthrop NFH releases. This site is a necessary addition in order to manage the large numbers of PIT tags deployed at Winthrop NFH. A volitional release was initiated from the Winthrop NFH back-channel pond on April 15, followed by a forced release for the remainder of the population on April 26 due to an impending maintenance project on Foghorn irrigation ditch; the back-channel pond's primary water source. It should be noted that juvenile Spring Chinook and steelhead were also released from the Winthrop NFH on-station raceways during this time. Tag codes from all three species of juveniles as well as returning adult steelhead and spring Chinook are recorded within the interrogation files. 01/01/2011 00:00 PTOC_Bot Annual log file initiation for SCP #### End of Event Log for SCP ###
