I plan on using the existing data collection platform to send adult trap data to PTAGIS. Dave Marvin mention you will need the new coil ID's and locations before this takes place. The trap is scheduled to collect fish as early as 06/28/04. Wells Dam has an adult trap located at the East and West ladders just below the existing adult detection antennas. Fish are trapped and sent through pipes to a holding area to be processed. Two 14" dia. antennas will be placed on each of the trap pipes (in series) to monitor fish passage. FS2001-ISO readers are used on all (4) antennas and data is being sent to the existing data collection platform located in the Dam. The East bank link is connected using fiber and the West bank via wireless modems. The West bank trap also sends the adults fish down to the hatchery through a 32" pipe which is then dewatered and transitions to the 12" pipe. Getting fiber to this location was difficult and costly so wireless modems were selected. The readers will follow the list of ID's below: East trap upstream antenna, Coil 09 East trap Downstream antenna, Coil 0A West trap upstream antenna, Coil 0B West trap downstream antenna, Coil 0C All transceivers will be configured in Minimon but not activated until I hear from you. I will be in the field until 06/25/04 so you can reach me on my cell #(208) 863-3041 with any questions. I will check my emails when available on the road.
