EVENT LOG FOR SITE WTL The first line of each entry contains a date/time stamp & who is reporting. The most recent entry is listed first. Date Time Who ---------- ----- -------- 11/05/2012 15:24 Ben At WTL both arrays B0 and C0 were turned back on 10-22-12 at 12:30, however the DC to DC converter was not working properly. The converter was repaired on 10-29-12. Noise from 10-22 to 10-29 was extremely high due to this issue which resulted in tags not being reliably recorded until the 10-29. Ben Truscott WDFW 10/24/2012 08:27 Ben WTL, array B0 was turned back on 10/22/12 at 12:30 as the thermoelectric generator was turned on. Array C0 had been left running and array B0 turned off from 9/28/12 to 10/22/12. Array C0 ran out of solar power and did not record tags from 10/11/12 at 16:33 to 10/15/12 at 13:47. Ben Truscott WDFW 10/24/2012 08:23 Ben WTL Array C0 did not record tags from 9/24/12 at 09:00 to 9/28/12 at 22:32, as the MUX was shut down due to a lack of power produced from the solar array. Ben Truscott WDFW 10/01/2012 10:56 Ben On Friday September 28th, 2012 the WTL site was visited. It was found that solar array is currently failing to maintain power to the site. The laptop remains off along with array B0. Array C0 was left running until the site can be converted back to propane power. Ben Truscott WDFW 09/24/2012 10:18 Ben WTL Array B0 did not record tags from 9-22-12 at 01:48:02 to 09:00 9/24/12, due to an unexpected termination of the TerraTerm program. WTL Array C0 did not record tags from 9-21-12 at 13:46:37 to 09:00 9/24/12, due to an unexpected termination of the TerraTerm program. Ben Truscott WDFW 08/14/2012 14:04 Ben Antenna #1 on array B0 was replaced and functioning on 8-9-12. A 10' antenna replaced the previous 20' antenna. Substrate where the previous 20' antenna was installed has scoured out. The 10' antenna does not reach the bank as the previous 20' antenna had. WTL array C0 did not record data from 8-5-12 at 17:12:17 to 8-6-12 at 13:41:09. The data gap was due to high noise caused by a malfunction in the macro. Ben Truscott WDFW 07/16/2012 11:12 Ben At array WTL B0 antenna #1 has zero amps and last recorded a tag on 6/26/12 at 22:54. Antenna will be checked and repaired once high flows subside. Ben Truscott WDFW 07/16/2012 11:11 Ben The dual MUX configuration does not allow for unique mode to function at WTL. This caused the buffer to be overrun on both readers at different times when a PIT tag was in the field for extended periods of time. WTL B0 - Buffer overrun causing a loss in data from 6/13/12 at 02:15 to 6/15/12 at 07:53 WTL B0 - Buffer overrun causing a loss in data from 6/17/12 at 10:01 to 6/19/12 at 07:56 WTL B0 - Buffer overrun causing a loss in data from 6/19/12 at 09:07 to 6/26/12 at 10:34 WTL C0 - Buffer overrun causing a loss in data from 6/13/12 at 02:14 to 6/15/12 at 07:34 WTL C0 - Buffer overrun causing a loss in data from 6/18/12 at 05:14 to 6/19/12 at 11:14 WTL C0 - Buffer overrun causing a loss in data from 6/25/12 at 13:47 to 6/27/12 at 10:47 WTL C0 - Buffer overrun causing a loss in data from 7/04/12 at 16:48 to 7/05/12 at 11:00 Ben Truscott WDFW 05/30/2012 13:00 Ben WTL, the macro program running both readers errored, causing readers B0 and C0 to be stuck in read mode simultaneously from 05/11/12 at 01:30 to 5/14/12 at 07:45. While both readers were on and capable of detecting tags during this time, detection range was severely decreased due the interference caused from simultaneous operation. At WTL, the macro program running both readers errored, causing readers B0 and C0 to be shutdown from 01 May 2012 at 04:24 to 04 May 2012 AT 10:11. While both readers were on, the readers were not capable of detecting any tags during this time. At WTL, the macro program running both readers errored, causing readers B0 and C0 to be stuck in read mode simultaneously from 04/29/12 at 10:24 to 05/01/12 04:24. While both readers were on and capable of detecting tags during this time, detection range was severely decreased due the interference caused from simultaneous operation. At WTL, reader C0 was down from 27 April 2012 at 10:23 to 29 April 2012 at 07:24. The issue was caused by the macro program running both readers. Reader B0 was reading tags during this time, while reader C0 was stuck in standby mode. Ben Truscott WA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife 04/26/2012 13:28 Ben At WTL array C0 has a data gap from 4-11-12 at 01:21:24 to 4-16-12 at 08:10:20. The computer stopped running the macro program resulting in C0 array being stuck in standby mode, while B0 array was running in scan mode. Ben Truscott WA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife 04/26/2012 13:27 Ben Antenna C2 at WTL came unplugged on 12/20/2011 and last recorded a test tag at 11:20. The antenna was plugged back in on 03/14/2012 and first recorded a test tag at 07:57:20 on 3/15/2012 after the antenna was retuned. Ben Truscott WA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife 01/18/2012 10:29 Ben Antenna C2 (array C0, WTL) last detected a test tag on 12/20/2011 at 11:20:01. MUX shows no current to the antenna, so antenna is either unplugged or broken.
