MRR codes are used to standardize values for MRR data in PTAGIS. Current MRR codes can be viewed in this specification via the links below. The codes can also be downloaded through the advanced reporting system, or retrieved in json format using the PTAGIS API.

A 6-character code representing the method used to capture fish for sampling. |

A 1- or 2-character codes used to describe a variety of morphological, environmental, and logical factors associated with a specific tagged fish. Conditional comment codes are optional, except for in P3 files to designate records as Recapture or Recovery events. Multiple space-separated codes can be entered for each record. |

A 4-character code representing a hatchery from which the sampled fish originated, and for entry into the Hatchery field. If mark and release events will occur at the hatchery, there a corresponding MRR Site code should be used for the Event Site or Release Site. |

A 4-character code representing the method used to apply the PIT tag to the fish. |
