Due to a PSMFC-wide infrastructure migration, the PTAGIS systems (website, reporting, data submission) will be inaccessible for periods of time between 4/17 and 4/22. We apologize for the inconvenience and will do our very best to monitor operations and process all data during this time. Please contact us at ptagisadmin@psmfc.org if you have any questions or concerns and we will respond if we are able.
Update at 3:15pm, Friday April 18
A portion of the infrastructure migration was completed and data is processing normally. There are remaining issues sending file notification emails out into the world.
Other servers that PTAGIS systems depend on will be moved tomorrow, Saturday, April 19, and there will be an unknown length of downtime during this move.
Over the weekend, you can expect that if a file has been submitted without error and you see its status as pending, then it will be processed, but the email notification of its final status may not make it to you. The status reported in P4 or P5 by clicking the Refresh Status button on the tool bar can tell you if there were any issues processing the file. If you try to submit a file and see an immediate error from the software, then it will need to be resubmitted once PTAGIS systems are back online.
Update at 12:30pm, Monday April 21
PTAGIS systems were offline between the morning of Saturday, April 19th and noon Monday, April 21. The website and the database system are back online; however, the reporting system and email notifications are still down. P4, P5 and M5 data files are being processed when we receive them. The mainstem dam interrogation sites are still not connected and are unable to submit data.
Update at 8:15am, Tuesday April 22
- The PTAGIS website is online with basic reporting functionality, only - quick reports work, but users are still unable to access Advanced Reporting features.
- No data from PTAGIS interrogation sites (e.g. mainstem hydro facility juvenile bypass and adult fishways) has been submitted or processed since Saturday morning. The computers are still collecting data, just unable to submit data to the PTAGIS server. PTAGIS O&M personnel are driving to each of our 30 interrogation sites to get the data collection computers back online. Note: this means that website reporting for these sites is stale.
- P4, P5 and M5 data files from other contributors are being received and processed, but email notifications are still not working.
Update at 10:00am, Tuesday April 22
- Advanced Reporting features are now available.
- PTAGIS sites are starting to submit data, starting with Lower Monumental (LMJ and LMA).
- Email notifications for P4, P5 and M5 are working again.
Update at 8:00am, Wednesday April 23
- Most PTAGIS sites are back to submitting data regularly and the backlog of data has been processed. The 3 remaining sites (Castille Falls, Roza Dam and Easton Dam) will be online by the end of today.
- The website and reporting system are working as expected.
- Email notifications are working as expected.
- Data extract files are missing about 15k records, and they will be included in tomorrow's files.
Update at 10:00am, Wednesday April 23
- The sftp server from which data extract files can be downloaded is not accessible by users outside the PSMFC network. A ticket has been submitted to PSMFC IT to address this issue.
Update at 7:30am, Thursday April 24
- All PTAGIS interrogation sites are submitting data regularly except for RPJ, which will be brough back online Friday, April 25
- The sftp server for data extract files is accessible to users outside the PSMFC network.
