CWR - Clearwater River at CLWTRP
Status: Active - OperationalGeneral Operational Period: Seasonally
Start Date: 4/2/2025 12:00 AM
This site consists of two pass-through antennas mounted perpendicular to river current on pontoon rafts at Clearwater River rkm 10 at the site of the discontinued Clearwater Trap (CLWTRP). The pontoon rafts are held in position by cables connecting the rafts to the CLWTRP traps high line crossing the Clearwater River. The first antenna is a 20 ft wide by 9 ft deep pass-through antenna. The depth of the antenna may be less than 9 ft due to the river current pushing the sides and bottom of antenna downstream. The 20 ft antenna is the same NOAA Fisheries design used at PD8, except that it is turned sideways. The sides of this antenna are held in place by 30 lb anchors. The second antenna is 12 ft wide by 4.5 ft deep. It is mounted on an aluminum and wood frame. Both pass-through antennas utilize a stand-alone IS1001 Biomark reader and two 12v batteries. Data is manually downloaded when the batteries are changed every two weeks. The purpose of the antennas is to detect juvenile salmonids transitioning from the free-flowing Clearwater River to Lower Granite Dam Reservoir.

Operational History
Operational history describes the period the site was interrogating for PIT tags. The comments provide anecdotal information about the operation of the site during this period. Site operational periods are updated typically at the end of the calendar year.
Configuration
Configuration metadata includes details about the equipment used at the site to detect and record PIT tags. A new configuration sequence record is created when equipment is added or removed from the site and the period of time it was active. A configuration sequence without an End Date is currently active.
