The Snake River Smolt Trap is located at River Kilometer 225 on the Snake River, immediately above the confluence with the Clearwater River. SNJ has been deployed annually during the Spring since 1989. PIT tag interrogation data are generated for previously-tagged fish recaptured at the trap.

2006 3/5/2006 12:00 PM 5/17/2006 12:00 AM The Snake trap was out of service between April 10 and April 12, 2006. The Snake Trap was OOS from 2100 on 4/14/06 2100 until 1100 on 4/19/06 due to flows and debris. The trap was OOS from 2100 on 4/30/06 to 1730 on 5/4/06 due to high water and much debris. The trap was pulled on 05/17/06 for the season due to large amounts of debris.
2005 3/6/2005 8:00 AM 6/22/2005 9:00 AM Trapping was suspended between 5/22/05 and 5/31/05 due to debris. Trap operations were terminated on June 3, but resumed on June 16 to assist with evaluation of summer spill. Trapping was completed on June 22, 2005, at 0900 for the season.

2003 3/9/2003 9:00 AM 5/27/2003 12:00 AM IDFG began operations on the Snake River Trap (at the Hwy-12 bridge) on 3/9/03. Trapping operations were terminated sometime after midnight on 5/27/03 due to high flows and debris buildup.
