WCC - Wilson and Cherry creeksStatus: Active - Non-Operational
General Operational Period: Year Round
Antennas are connected to IS1001 ACNs which are daisy chained together and connected to a IS1001 MTS located at the Cherry Creek gauging station. Antennas 01 and 02 are located in Wilson Creek and antennas 0A and 0B are located in Cherry Creek. All antennas are secured using MR-4 earth anchors and NRS straps. The top of each antenna is zip-tied to mule tape that is attached to T-posts positioned at the high water mark of each bank. The maximum vertical distance between the top and bottom of the antenna coils is approximately 7 ft. The site is grid powered and will run year-round.

Operational history describes the period the site was interrogating for PIT tags. The comments provide anecdotal information about the operation of the site during this period. Site operational periods are updated typically at the end of the calendar year.

Configuration metadata includes details about the equipment used at the site to detect and record PIT tags. A new configuration sequence record is created when equipment is added or removed from the site and the period of time it was active. A configuration sequence without an End Date is currently active.

Around 6:00 AM on 5/20/23, the main CAN bus cable for WCC was disconnected during a high flow event disabling all antennas. Connection to the antennas was restored on 6/22/23, however, antenna 0A was damaged during the high flows and is only partially working with a limited read-range. The Wilson creek antennas (01, 02) are working properly.

Antenna 0A experienced high noise and was disabled from sequence and removed. The new location for antenna 0A will be consistent with the current site diagram. Antenna 0A will be reinstalled during the summer of 2023.
