Instream detection array on the Wenaha River near Troy, Oregon (called the Little Salmon (Wenaha) on tax maps). Array consists of two IS1001-MTS multiplexing receivers (not synchronized), one MTS with three antennas, and one MTS services two antennas. Each antenna has an associated 24v-IS1001. Antenna arrays are upstream (three antennas), middle (one antenna) and downstream (one antenna). The middle and downstream arrays are serviced with one MTS, and the upstream array is on the second MTS. The middle and downstream arrays span the normal low water mark and are secured to the substrate for pass-over detection. The upstream array is on the river left, and is what is remaining from the original system that was heavily damaged during a high water event in the spring of 2019. The two downstream antennas (and arrays) provide stream-width coverage to determine detection efficiency and direction of movement, and have direct communication to PTAGIS. The upstream array is not connected to the internet, and is serviced every quarter. Site is grid powered and operates year-round. Site is on ODFW (upstream array) and private property (middle and downstream arrays).

Site visit to Wenaha array to download tag files and check on the site. All 3 remaining antennas (2,3, and 6) continue to be working. Site will need a firmware update for MC box and IS1001's via canbus cables.

Site visit to download data. Discovered the system had been offline since Jan 8th, 2022. We turned the system back on and downloaded the data. It is still unknown why the system turned off on its own, but is now back up and running. There are 3 working antennas currently at the site. We'll make a trip back down soon to make sure the system is still on.

According to system files, WEN site went down around 330am on January 8th. Reason for shut down is unknown at this time.

Site visit to download data and fix broken antenna cables. From June 28-July 15, Antennas 2, 3, and 6 were functional. At approximately 1:30 on July 15, a bulldozer used to create a fire line behind the town of Troy, dug up the antenna cables and ripped cabling from the master controller. Miraculously, the cables for antenna 2 survived. From July 15 at 1:30 p.m. - October 7 and 1:30 p.m., only antenna #2 was functional. On October 7, I reconnected the wires for antennas 3 and 6. At approximately 1:30 p.m. on 10/7/2021, antennas 2, 3, and 6 were once again functional. This site requires manual downloads and I uploaded data to PTAGIS on October 8th.
|2/28/2020 1:41:00 PM||General||Last manual data download was February 28, 2020. At the time of the site visit, several antennas were found to be non-functional. Antenna 4 has not been reliably working since 11/20/2020. Antenna 5 lost connectivity at about 5:00 p.m on February 6th, 2020. Antennas 8 & 9 stopped recording data on February 7th at about 2:00 a.m. Antennas were damaged by the flooding that occurred around February 6-8th. Currently, the site is requiring manual downloads.|
|1/23/2020 12:00:00 PM||General||Downloaded MC. Antenna 4 indicates that it is connected, but is not auto tuning. Checked the array to ensure that node was connected. Power cycled modem, lights came on and went off within 20 minutes.|

|4/8/2019 3:41:00 PM||General||A site visit on 4/25/19 revealed that several antennas were no longer detecting tags. I back-dated the event log to 4/8/2019 to reflect the first date that we started to loose antennas at the site. Antenna 4 lost tune on 4/8/19 at about 1500 hours. The antenna seems to have a partial connection as of 4/25/19, but the antenna is not detecting tags. Antennas 5, 8, and 9 are not detecting tags. Antenna 5 was disconnected on 4/8/19 at about 0500 hours. Antenna 8 was disconnected on 4/9/19 at about 1100 hours. Antenna 9 was disconnected on 4/10/19 at about 0200 hours. We will update event logs when we are able to fix the antennas.|
|4/1/2019 4:34:08 PM||General||Site visit to download the master controller at 12:40 p.m. daylight savings time. Updated firmware to MC Application v1.6.4.S19 and CBG Firmware v1.6.5. Placed a temperature logger at the site. All the antennas were tuned and appeared to be functioning as expected.|
