ROZ - Roza Diversion Dam (Combined)
Status: Active - OperationalGeneral Operational Period: Year Round
Start Date: 3/26/1992 4:33 PM
This site monitors the fish ladder and part of the west roller-gate spillway at Roza Dam. Three antennas are in notched weirs of the fish ladder, which was previously monitored under site code RZF. One 5ft by 2ft flat plate antenna is installed on the overflow drum of the spillway.

Operational History
Operational history describes the period the site was interrogating for PIT tags. The comments provide anecdotal information about the operation of the site during this period. Site operational periods are updated typically at the end of the calendar year.

2012 | 1/1/2012 12:00 AM | 1/1/2013 12:00 AM | A three hour power outage occurred on May 29. Power outage caused interruptions in operations from late June 19 until early June 20 (20:58-07:00 PST). The adult fish ladder was dewatered on November 7. |
2011 | 3/16/2011 12:00 AM | 1/1/2012 12:00 AM | First year of operation since 1992. The current configuration consists of the three fishway antennas previvously reported as RZF, and two new five-ft flat-plate antennas deployed in parallel on the West spillway roller gate. In 2011, spill at the West roller gate is normally confined to the 10-ft section over the flat-plates. Water flowed across the full 100-ft width of the West roller gate from March 30 - April 12. |
1992 | 3/26/1992 4:33 PM | 5/29/1992 6:24 PM | The Start_date and End_date values reflect the first and last dates of detection, respectively. The actual interval of operational dates is not known. |
Configuration
Configuration metadata includes details about the equipment used at the site to detect and record PIT tags. A new configuration sequence record is created when equipment is added or removed from the site and the period of time it was active. A configuration sequence without an End Date is currently active.

1/21/2024 11:42:38 AM | ErrorsCleared | The system has a noise problem that is intermittent and goes from normal noise levels to max noise. If the problem continues after the severe weather passes, we'll inspect the system for the culprit. |
1/20/2024 11:36:36 AM | ErrorsCleared | The system has a noise problem that is intermittent and goes from normal noise levels to max noise levels every 6-12 hours. The system will be inspected if problem continues. |
1/18/2024 11:06:05 AM | ErrorsCleared | Noted. System to be inspected if problem continues. |
1/16/2024 8:43:02 AM | ErrorsCleared | The system is experiencing a noise cycle that goes from normal noise levels to 100% noise levels for hours at a time. This trend happen throughout the entire day. This could be from a failing component on the antenna or the cold temperatures. We'll continue to monitor the system and investigate it if it does not get better. |
