Operational History

Operational history describes the period the site was interrogating for PIT tags. The comments provide anecdotal information about the operation of the site during this period. Site operational periods are updated typically at the end of the calendar year.

2010 1/1/2010 12:00 AM 8/10/2010 1:00 PM The UM2 site was decomissioned on August 10, 2010.
2009 1/1/2009 12:00 AM 1/1/2010 12:00 AM The site's power source blew a fuse on 7/16/09 and was down for a few weeks till it could be repaired. When the MUX was turned back on the CPU board blew and any data collected since reinstallation were lost. Data collection was restored on 09/09/09.
2008 1/1/2008 12:00 AM 1/1/2009 12:00 AM Some time prior to March 12 antenna #4 stopped working and antenna #6 washed out. Sometime prior to April 22, antennas #3 and #5 were unplugged. As of April 22, only antenna #2 was active. The entire site was washed out on May 6, and data collection activities were suspended. Antennas 2-5 were re-installed on Sept. 16. The MUX malfunctioned between Nov. 9-18; no data were collected during this interval.
2007 8/2/2007 12:00 AM 1/1/2008 12:00 AM First year of operation. No data from Oct. 24 - Nov. 8 due to a mad CPU board on the MUX.
