2014 4/14/2014 12:00 PM 5/14/2014 12:00 AM Monitored spring Chinook release from April 14-21. Monitored steelhead releases from April 22-May 14.
2013 4/24/2013 12:00 AM 5/14/2013 12:00 AM Monitored spring Chinook release from April 16-22, but timestamp was lost so detections were reported as recaps in TLM1106.CHP. Monitored steelhead releases from April 24-May 14.
2012 4/16/2012 12:00 AM 5/2/2012 12:00 AM Volitional release began on April 17 and ran until May 1. Forced release started at 10:30 on May 1.
2011 4/25/2011 11:00 AM 5/20/2011 11:30 AM Volitional release from April 25 - May 19. All remaining fish were pushed out and ponds emptied on May 19 between 12:45 and 16:00.
2010 4/14/2010 11:00 AM 5/12/2010 10:00 AM The volitional release from the Chiwawa Ponds began on April 14, 2010. On 5/12/10, hatchery personnel seined the remaining fish out of the pond. During this seining process, several hundred (?) fish escaped over the dam, boards without going through the PIT tag antennas. Also, pushing thousand fish through the PIT tag system in a short period of time probably also adversely impacted the ability to read some of the PIT tagged fish. The volitional release officially ended at 10:00 am PST on 5/12/10. The fish were gone from the pond, and the PIT tag equipment was turned off.
2009 4/15/2009 10:00 AM 5/13/2009 2:00 PM The volitional release of fish at Chiwawa Pond began on 4/15/09 at approximately 10:00 a.m. PST. In 2009, all tagged fish were released from a single pond. The remaining fish were forced or seined from the pond on May 13, 2009.
2008 4/10/2008 1:00 PM 5/13/2008 1:40 PM The volitional release from Chiwawa Pond began on April 10. All remaining fish were forced out on May 13.
2007 4/13/2007 10:00 AM 5/15/2007 2:00 PM In 2007, there were two volitional releases at Chiwawa from Pond #2; the first release occurred between April 13-30, and the second release occurred between May 1-15. Between the volitional releases, there was a forced release from Pond #1 on May 1. All releases from both ponds were monitored for PIT tags.
1996 4/15/1996 12:17 PM 5/6/1996 11:10 AM The Start_date and End_date values reflect the first and last dates of detection, respectively. The actual interval of operational dates is not known.
1995 4/14/1995 1:06 PM 4/26/1995 2:56 AM The Start_date and End_date values reflect the first and last dates of detection, respectively. The actual interval of operational dates is not known.

Configuration

Configuration metadata includes details about the equipment used at the site to detect and record PIT tags. A new configuration sequence record is created when equipment is added or removed from the site and the period of time it was active. A configuration sequence without an End Date is currently active.

12/31/2016 9:27:00 AM General Chiwawa acclimation interrogation site operated from 4/15-2016 to 5/6/2016 for hatchery release.
5/14/2014 12:00:00 PM SiteDown The site ran without interruption until 5/14, when the volitional release was finalized and the equipment turned off.
4/22/2014 9:00:00 AM SiteUp After the spring Chinook release, CHP interrogation site equipment was moved from the oulet of the facility to an orifice between steelhead ponds in order to monitor steelhead volitional and forced releases. The equipment was moved on 4/21/14. The equipment was powered up on 4/22.
4/14/2014 12:00:00 PM SiteUp CHP was installed in early-April, prior to the release of fish from Chiwawa Ponds hatchery. The system was powered up on 4/14/14 at 12:00, prior to the start of the volitional release. The detection site consists of two 1.25 m diameter circular antennas, operated by RM310 reader boards. The boards are multiplexed and the data recorded by a QST QuBE. A 24 VDC battery bank powers the detection system.
4/22/2013 8:00:00 AM General After the spring Chinook release, CHP interrogation site equipment was moved from the oulet of the facility to an orifice between steelhead ponds in order to monitor steelhead volitional and forced releases. The equipment was moved on 4/22/13. The equipment was washed out overnight on 4/22, then repaired and reinstalled on 4/24. The site ran without interruption from 4/24-5/14, when the volitional release was finalized and the equipment turned off.
4/16/2013 8:00:00 AM General CHP interrogation site was installed at the oulet of the facility in early April to monitor the spring Chinook release. Time and date was losty from the interrogation data, so all unique tags detected during the release were uploaded in TLM13106.CHP. The spring chinook release occured from 4/16-4/22.
