This site is a permanent instream PIT tag detection system located at rkm 19.5 on the upper main stem Teanaway river, just above the North Fork Teanaway confluence, near Cle Elum, WA. The site consists of a two rows of antennas, with six 20-foot antennas installed in flat plate configuration. The two rows of antennas extend 15 ft beyond the wetted width of the channel during base flows. The antennas were built and installed by WDFW. The site is connected to a thermal electric generator to power the transceiver. Site was decommissioned November 2015.

2015 2/5/2015 12:00 AM 11/17/2015 8:00 PM High flows on November 17 damaged the site, all antennas losing connection. It is now decommissioned.

11/17/2015 8:00:00 PM General At around 7:00 PM, antennas at UMT started to become disconnected or damaged due to excessive flows. By 8:00 PM, connections were lost to all antennas.
2/5/2015 3:30:00 PM General The site was turned back on at this time. Antenna 6 is showing high noise levels. The site will be attended to when water levels drop.
12/15/2014 12:30:00 PM General At this time, UMT will be shut off for the winter months. The site will be turned back on in February before migrating fish are expected to move.
8/20/2014 7:29:25 AM General Equipment malfunctions began occuring on 8-7 at this site. On 8-20, at 7:15, the multiplexor was set back up, re-tuned and should now be collecting data properly.
3/19/2014 12:00:00 PM General UMT has previously been installed annually from March to June. UMT was not installed in spring of 2014.
10/7/2013 7:20:22 AM General Power restored to site at 16:30 on 10-5-13. Antenna 6 (*16) lost power on 9-10 after 19:30 and is still out at this point.
