P4 will be retired on December 1, 2026. After that date, PTAGIS will no longer provide support for P4 and will not accept data submissions from P4. The P4 file format will also be retired and will not be accepted through the PTAGIS web API. If you have not already, please transition to P5 before then.
P5 versions 1.0.0 through 1.3.0 will be retired on September 9, 2026. After that date, PTAGIS will accept data files only from P5 versions 1.4.0 and higher. If you use an earlier version, update to version 1.6.0 here: P5 software page
The latest P5 features include:
- Support for Wacom drawing boards as digitizer tablets, now that CalComp is no longer selling digitizer boards.
- Real-time custom validation during data entry. Existing Custom Validation tools can now be enabled to notify users during data entry.
- Support for multiple user-named local databases. This is primarily useful for those who work on multiple projects that require different sets of Project Defined Fields, which are global to the P5 database.
Since P5 was released for production data collection more than a year ago, we have continued to fix bugs, add new features and improve existing features in response to user feedback. See the full Release Notes for details. Thank you to everyone who has sent bug reports and feature requests.
