This site monitors the outfall of the Rapid River Fish Hatchery pond. It operates seasonally from when fish are delivered to the pond until after all fish have been forced out at the end of the volitional release period.

The primary computer rebooted several times during the season; any detections that were missed during reboots were filled with data from the secondary computer. All remaining fish were forced out of the pond and the transceivers were shut down on April 24. |

There was an old alarm on transceiver 08 (Bad Oscillating Frequency). Presumably tripped that alarm due to a tag right on the edge of the field that was not reading but disrupting the field of that antenna. Rebooted the reader and the alarm went away. General maintenance check of everything else with everything working properly. |

Reset readers 02, 04, 07 & 08 to clear alarms. Cleared the buffers on all readers, replaced lithium battery on reader 08, and fired virtual test tags to ensure all readers were functioning properly. Screens are being pulled for smolt release on 03/15/2024.
